I woke up when I smelled food. I'm serious. Josh was gone and I smell pizza. I got up and ran down the stairs, obviously tripping and falling on my face.
"Oh my god!" I heard Josh yell. He ended up slipping right in front of the stair because he had socks on and it was hardwood. We looked at each other and laughed. I got up and helped him up. "You okay?"
"Yeah. Are you?" He nodded and picked me up, making me squeal. He carried me to the kitchen and set me on the counter. His mom looked at us, smiling and shaking her head. I pulled Josh closer and put my arms around his neck, resting my head on my arm.
"You two are something else."
"We know."
