(Yein's POV)
"Gotta go now guys, bye!" I say as I rush out of school, my hands full carrying plastic bags I've prepared for Jiyong.
I ring the doorbell, and the door secretly opens.
"ah, yein ah! you're here!" baby-faced man says as he fully opens the door.
I give him a smile as I walk in.
As I walk up the stairs, I turn around to see baby-faced man holding onto jiyong's mothers hands tightly.
"don't worry. he's not broken." I say softly.
Jiyong's mother looks at me, giving me a worried smile.
I turn back around, taking in a deep breath as I head towards the hallway, leading to Jiyong's room.
Okay, you can do this.
It's going to be fine.
I think of words to encourage me but find my lips shaking.
I slightly turn the knob, and hear a growl coming from the room.
I close my eyes.
1..
I turn the doorknob slightly more.
2....
I flash my eyes open

Opening the door, I find Jiyong at his pouncing stance, about to attack.
As soon as he sees me, I put my hand in the air, pointing to him as I say firmly.
"Stay."
I close my eyes, ready for him to pounce, but it was silent.
I open my eyes, tilting my head to see him.
his body was still tense, yet he stayed still, staring at me with curious eyes.
I looked into his now soft brown eyes as he starts to sniff the air.
letting out a small breath of relief, I take a slow step towards him.
He tenses, his head snapping back in my direction.
I move a little closer, and he starts to snarl.
Slowly putting my hand out, I say:
"easy, jiyong ah...easy.."
As I get close enough to touch him, he moves away, growling.
"stay still." I say gently.
he stays still, but with his gaze still full of caution.
I pat his head.
I touch his rough, matted hair, smoothing it softly with the palm of my hands.
As I continue to pat him, he starts to lower his tension, his gaze softening as he stares at me with full focus.
I smile.
"you used to like me patting your head." I say, giving him an wrinkle eye smile.
He just stares at me, his expression blank and softer than it was before.
I take my hand off of his head, feeling sad that he doesn't even recognize me.
he really did lose his memory....
I think for a moment.
what caused this to happen?
As I think, i didn't realize Jiyong, nudging his head onto my arm.
I watch as he whimpers cutely, as if he's begging me to pet him more.
I blush.
"Alright." I say, giving in to his cute demand as I pet his head once more.
he stays still as I pet him, his face calm and relaxed.
as I pat his head, he suddenly starts to sniff me, his nose breath tickling my neck as he does.
I laugh as it started to tickle.
"Jiyong ah, stop-"
he starts to move down towards my lower bottom, sniffing my butt.
I move away, embarrassed.
"no, Jiyong ah, that's bad-"
he comes back, trying to sniff my bottom again.
I move up to his bed, pushing him slightly away with my hands.
"No don't sniff there, it doesn't even smell good." I say embarrassed.
he tilts his head in confusion, then
he smiles.
Looking at him smile at me, made my heart race again. It felt like he was back to his normal self.
I find myself lost into his eyes, until I realize he was on top of me.
My eyes grow wide.
"um....Jiyong ah?"
He looks at me, his nose sniffing the air, before he comes towards me and starts to sniff me again.
I squirm around, giggling.
"Stop! it ticklesss!" I squeal.
As I squirm around the bed, he suddenly stops, looking at me with big eyes.
I stare at him as well, his mouth slightly parted as if he were about to say something.
"...friend?"
I froze.
he spoke.
I slowly raise my arms, touching his two cheeks with my palms.
I grin.
"yes...do you remember friend?" I say.
He tilts his head again, then he puts his hands on my cheeks.
He stares at me deeply.
"friend."
his fingertips brush my face as he slowly lower his head, his gaze not leaving my face.
I blush, this scene seeming so familiar to me.
his face was close to mine now.
I watch as he looks at my cheeks, then my eyes, then my nose.
He lowers his head to my cheek and sniffs me gently.
He then moves to my other cheek and sniffs me again.
We stayed there for a moment, his eyes finally showing some light, like he was back to normal.
"...Jiyong ah?" baby faced man says as he approaches the door.
The light in his eyes fade as he snaps his head towards the direction of his father, growling.
I grab his waist, pulling him away from attacking.
In a strained but reassuring voice, I call out to his father:
"Don't worry, it's gonna take some time, but i totally have it under control-"
As soon as I say those words, jiyong slips away from my grasp, running towards the door that was now closed.
I stare at Jiyong as he constantly starts to claw and scratch at the door.
I sigh.
This is going to take a while.
As he was focused on the door, I reach into the bag of treats. As soon as I open the bag, he stops clawing to sniff the air.
he finally turns his direction towards me, his gaze fully focused on the bacon bite that was in my hand.
I let my palms wide open so he could fully see the treat.
"okay, jiyong ah, we're going to go slow-"
Without caution, he reaches out and slobbers all over my hand, chewing the bacon to shreds.
I look at my hands in disgust.
"Really?" I say as I look at him.
he just stares at me, as if he was waiting for more.
I wipe my wet hand on my shirt.
"alright, we're going to do this again..." I say as I slowly reach into the bag.
His eyes roam towards the bag and I could see it in his eyes that he knew his treats were there.
I grab another piece of bacon.
This time I snatch it away from him before he could grab it.
"Wait." I say.
he tilts his head, confused by the new word.
I slowly open my palms.
He makes a quick move but I quickly yell the word:
"wait."
he froze, staring at the piece of bacon.
I smile as I pat his head.
"That's good." I say.
He stays calm, his eyes slowly closing as he lets me gently pet him.
I give him the piece of bacon, and he calmly chews, staring into my eyes.
I focus my eyes on his.
"Wait for me Jiyong ah."
I give him a hug.
"even if it takes time,
"I'll bring us slowly closer again."
