"Wowza." I heard him say. "I like your succulents."
"Thanks. Debby takes pride in her succulents." He laughed and I heard him move. I turned around and saw him on one knee.
"You're a piece of shit." I said. He laughed and stood.
"I'll take that as a yes."
"You ruined the moment I wanted to have with you." He put his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek.

"Love you too." I mumbled and we swapped boxes. We both got simple silver bands for each other. I put my arms around his neck and he pulled me closer by the waist. "I tried."

"I'm cute." I whispered. He mumbled something I chose to ignore and I laid my head on his chest.
