Death's POV

Roxi and Thomas left us and now it was just me and my bride in the courtyard. He watched Thomas and Roxi leave before sighing to himself.

“Well, I guess it’s my turn. See you later.”  My bride said while walking away.

“Wait! I wish to show you something.” I said taking my time down the steps.

“I’m sure you can show it to me later.” He said while continuing to walk away. I snapped my fingers and Akira appeared in front of him. “Wow!” My bride exclaimed as he fell backwards.

“Akira will only attack if you not comply with my simple request.” I said with an out stretched hand. My bride was hesitant but after a moment, he complied with my request. I helped him up and began to walk with my bride by my side. We walked in silence for a moment before my bride became impatient with me and stopped.

“What is it that you want? You better not be thinking of doing anything sexual to me again.” He said. “I hope you know that that’s sexual harassment!” He added.

“Sexual harassment.” I laughed. “I wish to show you the greenhouse. My wives before you have found it quit a pleasant place.” I assured him.

“And how do I know that? You could be lying for all I know. Like I said before, you are Death, a clever, heartless, and cold.” He replied.

“That is such kind thing to say, my bride.” I replied as I stepped closer to him. My bride began to back away from me but I grabbed him quickly and pulled him close to me. He tried to pull away from me but I held on tight.

“Let go of me!” He said as I chuckled. I kissed him on his forehead before wrapping my arm around him and continued walking. As we walked, my bride grumbled things under his breath but I paid no mind to it, no matter how annoyed I was by it. Within five minutes, my bride and I were at the doors of the greenhouse. I took the key out of my pocket and unlocked the door the lavished world of my greenhouse. My bride stepped into the greenhouse was taken away by the wondrous smells of the various flowers and rainbow of colors.

“What do you think?” I asked him. My bride remained silent but he no longer looked at the garden in the greenhouse, but one specific flower. “Is there something wrong?” I asked.

“No, it’s just that flower. I’ve seen it before.” He replied.

“Oh, that is the red spider lily. It is one the most beautiful flowers in the world.” I said while walking into greenhouse and smelling one of them. “There are more once you move to the center of the greenhouse.” I said while looking at him. He looked at me before hesitantly following me into the greenhouse. I led him through the greenhouse and allowed him to marvel at the beauty of the garden before we finally made it to the middle of the garden. My bride stepped deeper into the garden, observing the red spider lilies. He seemed content in that moment, so I took my chance. “My bride, I have something to tell you.” I said.

“How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me bride?!” My bride says angrily. “My name is Tristen not – what are you doing?” My bride asked me as he turned around and found me on one knee.

“Today is the day. Tonight you are to wed me and I am to wed you.” I told him.

“You’re out of your mind. If I didn’t marry you two weeks ago, do you really think I’m going to marry you now?” He asked me.

“I told you a couple of days ago. We are to be wed in two days and today is the second day.” I told him. He looked at me wide eyed and confused.

“You’ve got to be kidding me?” My bride said in disbelief.

“No, I am serious.” I replied while taking my bride’s hand and giving him his weddings ring.

“What am I suppose to do with that?” He asked me.

“You are to wear it of course. Why do you act so surprised to this event. You should be happy.” I said. My bride looked at me like I was crazy before pushing past me.

“You’ve officially lost your mind.” Was his only reply as I watched him leave the greenhouse, I got off my knee and laughed at myself. Why did I get so excited when I brought him here? It was obvious that he would refuse me, however I am satisfied this way. I am losing myself because of this boy. I thought to myself distastefully. It was the truth and I feared it but at the same time I did not mind it. It was strange. Could I have fallen for such a boy or am I just enjoying my new bride too much?

After composing myself, I left the greenhouse and went back to the tarsus. Thomas stood there by the table but my bride was no where to be found. I was saddened by this fact but once on the tarsus I understood why my bride was not there waiting for me. There was only one table with one chair. Thomas must have told him that his food was inside. This angered me but I kept a calm composure until I was comfortably seated in my chair. As Thomas poured my tea, I watched him but he pretend not to notice my glare.

            “Thomas.” I finally said.

“Yes, my lord?” Thomas said turning to me.

“Where is my bride?” I asked calmly.

“He ran inside not too long ago. When I asked him if he would like to eat, he did not reply, so I did not fix his place.” Thomas replied in a dull and anger tone.

“Thomas, do you tell me the truth?”

            “Of course my lord.”

“Then, why did you waste your time telling such a futile lie.” I asked. Thomas remained silent. “If you do not approve of my bride, please say so. You have never neglected to voice your opinion on my other wives.” I added. Thomas looked as if he wanted to answer my request but was afraid to. “That was an order, Thomas.” I said impatiently.

“T-this boy has changed you, my lord!” Thomas finally blurted out.

“Changed me? How so?” I demanded.

“All you care about is that boy although only a mere six months ago you could have cared less for him. He has disobeyed you and refused you repeatedly and yet you continue acting as if nothing happened. This is not the Jonathon Evans I know and have served for over a thousand years. The Jonathon Evans I’ve known and served for so long is a cruel, heartless, clever man who did not care for his wives or any other human! That is what made you so dangerous and enchanting, my lord. Those key features about you are what made you Death! So why? Why is it that the moment that human boy comes around, you are no longer cruel and heartless?” Thomas said in the calmest manner but his eyes were wild with envy and jealousy.

“I see.” I replied before going into deep thought. Although my bride had been here for only two weeks or so, he was correct. I have changed; I am no longer the man I once was a thousand years ago. “Then tell me, my dear friend. What should I do to return myself to my old state?” I asked Thomas. He stared at me in shock that I had even asked the question. “Well? Out with it already.” I demanded.

“Cut all emotion for him.” Thomas said immediately. “Busy yourself with work and make it so that you barely see him. You must become distant and cold to him. Even if he requests your presence, my lord, you must me cruel and force him out of your sight. If he is to disobey you then you should punish him. Locking him in his room will not do. You must punish him physically and he learn to be obedient.” Thomas added happily.

“Are you sure that if I do these things that I will return to my old state of mannerism?” I asked.

“Yes, my lord, and I shall assist you in anyway possible.” Thomas said while bowing to me.

“Then it shall be done! There will be no more acts of kindness to my bride, especially once he is my wife.” I said. “Now, leave me so that I may enjoy my meal in peace.” I said.

“Yes, my lord.” Thomas said with a smirk hidden on his face but worn through his eyes. He was content and I, on the other hand, was doubtful in what Thomas said. To turn cold to my bride so suddenly would – Listen to yourself. You sound like a human! My conscious told me angrily. You are not a human, they are nothing compared to you. You are Death, the creator of misery and the Ferrier for the souls. You do not become soft for one boy! Especially one who you must call your wife! You are to shun him! Treat him badly; abuse his spirit until he sees that he is worthless to you. You have done it many times before. Observe him and see that he dies before the year is out just like the others. Besides, humans do not live forever. My conscious was right. I had shunned all my wives before Tristen so why should I treat him any better. It was disgraceful. I shall do as Thomas said. After tonight, my bride will know the true Jonathon Evans. No longer shall I hide behind this mask that he has gotten to know.

I left the tarsus and resigned to the library. I sat at my desk and sat in silence as I brewed over my shameful behavior. How could I have become so weak?! I shall not allow this to happen again.

The day drug itself slowly. I remained in the library until three hours before the ceremony. When the cloak stroke nine, Thomas escorted me to my carriage and took me the church. I had arrived before my bride, giving me time to greet many of our guests who had already arrived. I soon retired to the back room, where Thomas awaited my presence. As I was getting dress, Akira informed me that my bride had arrived. The ceremony would start soon. By eleven, I was standing at the alter waiting for my bride. It took him a while but he finally descended the steps with Roxi by his side escorting him down the aisle. As I looked upon my bride in his white dress shirt, black pants, and black leather shoes holding a fresh bouquet of red spider lilies, I could tell he was angry and embarrassed by this ordeal. For I had a great amount of friend and associates I allowed to attend the wedding. When my bride finally made it down to the alter, he seemed hesitant to stand by me, so I grabbed him and pulled him close to me to insure that he would not run out on the ceremony for a second time. The wedding was interesting on my bride’s part. Sudden out burst of objections to our marriage and many other childish games annoyed me as we stood at the alter and it took every fiber of my being not to punish him in front of the eyes of God, but do not worry. I shall punish him for I have warned him about such behavior.

“Tristen Ciel Grey, do you take this man to be your awfully wedded husband?” The priest asked my bride. My bride remained silent as he stared at our hands. “Tristen?”

“Huh?” My bride said snapping his head in the direction of the priest.

“Do you take this man as your awfully wedded husband?” The priest repeated. My bride’s lip quivered as he struggled with the answer.

“N-n-yes.” He said sadly. Everyone in the church let out a sigh of relief.

“And do you, Jonathon Evans, take this man to be your awfully wedded wife?” The priest asked me.

“I do.” I said looking at my new wife as he completely avoided my gaze.

“Then you may now kiss your – oh my!” The priest exclaimed as I impatiently grabbed my wife’s face and kissed him. As I pulled away from him, I bit his lip again, causing it to bleed. He glared at me angrily as the priest announced us as Mr. and Mr. Jonathon Evans. As we rode back to the mansion, my new wife rode in the carriage with me and he was not happy about it.

“What the hell was that?” My wife snapped as we pulled away from the church.

“Be respectful. We’re still on church grounds.” I replied dully.

“I don’t give a damn! What the hell was up with that kiss? You cut my lip for the second fucking time!” He snapped at me.

“You are behaving like a child. I have told you that I will not tolerate such behavior.” I replied sharply.

“What the fuck is up with you? Earlier this morning you wore that creepy ass smile and now you’re acting all high and mighty on top of that you’re pissed at me just because I want an answer to my question!” I interrupted him in his act of truancy but grabbing his face and holding it close to mine so that he had no choice but to look me in the eye.

“Silence!” I said angrily. “You have angered me today with your behavior during the ceremony. Now behave yourself and pretend you enjoy this reception and do not continue this childish act or else you will be punished!” I threatened.

“And what are you going to do? Beat me? Go ahead but don’t think I’m going down without a fight.” My wife challenged me. I quickly took my hand from his neck and wrapped hit around his neck. My grip was stern and he immediately began clawing at my hand so that I would let go but I just glared at him.

“Do not test me, boy! Or else you will be dead before the year is up.” I threatened. I released my wife and he coughed and gasped for air while glaring at me angrily. I will punish him later. I told myself as I glared at him from the corner of my eye.

Once my wife and I had pulled into the front of the house, my wife tried to run to his room, but I would not allow that behavior. I pulled him into the ballroom and we greeted our guests as they entered. My wife wore a smile on his face but he was angry with me. I knew it would not take long before he would disobey my orders, so I waited for the time to arrive and sure enough it did. It was time for the bride and groom’s first dance, but my bride did not wish to dance. Every time I came near him, he would walk off and take up conversation with a small group of our guest. I was becoming weary of this game and was prepared to lash out at him but I had to keep my composure in front of our guests. Once I had calmed my anger, I played my bride’s little game and I was sure to be victorious. I mingled with the guests just as my bride and after while we ended up in the same group. By the time he came to realize this he tried to walk away but it was too late. I grabbed him and excused us as I drug him to the dance floor. I began dancing before the orchestra could even begin the next song. My bride pulled and refused me constantly until I had enough. I released him from my hold and he fell into one of the maids, whom just happened to be carrying a tray of refreshments. As my bride fell, Thomas caught the maid but did not catch the falling tray or the falling glasses that once sat on the tray. All came crashing to the floor and my bride was covered in red wine and broken glass.

“It would seem that my bride has had too much to drink.” I announced as he got off the floor. The room erupted in laughter and my bride was embarrassed. “I shall escort you to your room, my dear.” I said laughing myself. My bride glared at me and attempted to punch me but I caught his fist with ease. I pulled him into me and tossed him over my shoulder. “I’m so sorry, but I must retire with my bride. It seems that he is so drunk he is dazed and confused.” I announced as I left the room. My bride kicked and screamed for me to put him down and leave him alone. He cursed me with each word that left his lips and I was not pleased by such behavior. It was an embarrassment!

“Let me go, damnit! Get your filthy hands off me, you bastard.” My bride cursed as we walked into my room. I threw him on the bed and stood over him. He glared at me hatefully and came at me like a savage animal. As he charged at me, I kicked him to the side and he hit the wall. He groaned in pain as I walked over to him and I watched him dully. “I’ll kill you!” He spat at me as he went to punch me again but I grabbed him.”Let go of me!” He spat again.

“I’ve grown tired of this. I told you to behavior yourself. I told you do not test me for you will regret it!” I said grabbing his face and staring him down but he did not sway. He spat in my eye and I had enough. I wiped the spit from my eye and drug my wife back to my bed. “Bond.” I said as white bandages wrapped themselves around my wife’s wrist.

“What the hell?! What is this?” My bride demanded as I unbuttoned my shirt and stared at him.

“I’ve had enough of you and your disobedience. It is time that I teach you a lesson!” I said as I ripped off my wife’s clothes.

“What are you doing?! Stop! Stop –” I interrupted.

“Silence! You have refused me for the last time!” I snapped as white bandage tied itself around my wife’s mouth. He stared at me and I saw anger in his eyes, but that is not what I wanted. No. I wanted to see the fear in his eyes and after tonight, I will be sure to see it. I took of my wife’s boxers and tossed them to the floor as I took hold of his penis. I was not as gentle as I was last time. I could not punish him with gentle sexual activity that just does not make sense. I made everything as painful as I possibly could so that he could understand. I was not playing.

As I stroked my bride while making sure that he did not come, I bit and toyed with his nipples. I was not kind to them at all. I bit one so hard that I was able to draw blood. He tried to refuse me but with the gag tied tightly around his mouth all I here were helpless pants. When I looked at my wife, he stared at me angrily but flinched when I inserted my fingers into him. It’s pointless to resist me, you are mine now. I said to myself as I inserted my finger deeper into him and he arched his back as he tried to resist the pleasure of coming.

“Just ask me and I’ll allow you to cum.” I said to him. He shot an angry look at me but did not last long when I fingered and stroked him at the same time. In a matter of minutes he came all over me and himself. “I did not give you the right to cum.” I said as I licked my cum covered fingers. I stared at my wife as he stared at me angrily and disgustedly. This was not the look I wanted and I became angry. A smirk came across my face and my wife looked at me with wide eyes. I flipped him over and held him up to me. I removed the gag from his mouth and placed him fingers in his mouth as I stroked him again. He panted as I stroked him and his body quivered as he came all over my hand again. I released him and he fell into the cum covered sheets. He was becoming tired; we have been doing this for over an hour now. He panted into the sheets and I was not done yet. I grabbed my wife by the waist and inserted myself into him. He gasped as he clawed the bed with bond hands.

“St-stop! Stop! It hurts.” He screamed. “Stop! Take it out! Take it out!” He said as I pushed myself into him. He was so warm and moist. I began to thrust and my wife couldn’t seem to catch his breath. “St-stop!” He begged as I thrust in him. I pulled him back up and began to stroke him and kiss his neck, when I felt something wet hit my cheek. He was crying but he would not allow me to see. He had turned his face from me. “I can’t take this anymore.” I mumbled under his breath as he came for the last time and past out. I released him and he collapsed onto the bed as the bonds around his wrist vanished.

“I told you, I will make you love me and not to text me.” I whispered into his ear as if he could hear me. I tossed the covers over my wife and sat at the edge of the bed. I looked back at my wife and he still lied there crying even in his sleep. You have much more pain to suffer then that, my wife. That was the easy part. I thought to myself before getting out and leaving.
