Isabella's POV
I woke up with a smile on my face and turned around so I faced him
He was such a cute sleeper, it was precious
He felt me staring and opened his eyes slowly and smiled back
We were smiling for awhile until I heard a car door open and close from outside
"Oh my god" I say and jump up. "What?" He asked. "My dad. He's here" I say to him and his eyes widen
"How do you know?" He ask as we rush out of bed. I point to my ear. "Vamp hearing. Comes in handy at times like this"
I here footsteps getting closer for the front door as Grayson hurried to find his clothes
"BELLA IM HOME" I hear my dad say from down stairs. "It's too late to go out the front door, you have to use the window"
"Are you crazy?"
"Listen you'll just land in some flowers"
"Are there thorns?"
"That's not important just GO" I shove him to the window
He looks at me worried then at the window and finally jumps
I hear him land when I run into bed then my dad opens the door
"Hey sweetie. How did you sleep?"
"Wonderfully" I say then he smiles and walks out
I let out a sigh of relief
Grayson's POV
There was thorns.
I make it home and see Ethan
"Hey" I say awkwardly. "Sup" he replies
He walks over to me
"Listen, I realize now that I've been a little over protective and I promise, I'll never do it again. I won't try to save you unless you really need it. You can fight your own battles" he says with a slight smile
I smile back at him. "Thank you Ethan. And I get it. You've been through a lot and don't want the same for me. And I too promise, to not get into too much trouble"
I go to fill a bag with everything ancient or supernatural that could explain what was happening to Isabella
"Now I have to go" I say. "Where?" Ethan asks
I give him a 'really' face
"He says in a non-over protective way"
"I have to met up with Olivia. I was texting her on the way here and we are going to figure out why Isabella turned"
I get to her house and see her in her garage full of papers of the desk
I set my bag down "find anything?"
"Vampire plus werewolf minus werewolf curse in blood line somehow equals to hybrid? It's impossible. She triggered the curse so she must have had it in her blood line"
"Maybe her parents had it and she didn't know"
"That couldn't be. Her father was a witch, and the witches made the werewolf curse. They wouldn't curse it to their own kind. And her mother was a vampire, not a hybrid. The only thing that could explain this would be if..." she froze
"If what?" I ask
"If her parents aren't her real parents"
"what?" "I don't know maybe I'm wrong but there is no other option. Maybe her mom wasn't her real mom, maybe she found the wrong person"
"It can't be. Ive seen the picture, she looks too much like Katherine to not be related"
"Well that only leaves her father"
"It's a possibility. But if that's not her real father, who is?"
She looks around at papers. "It would have to be someone who had the curse but at the same time, be alive at the same time as her mom. And there's no possible way to track a dead werewolf"
There was silence
We heard a knock on her garage door
"Sorry I asked Devion to pick me up from your place to meet Isabella"
"No it's fine"
She opens the door and Devion sets in
He stares into her eyes not saying a single word
She weirdly stares back, creeped out but yet intrigued
I couch which causes him to snap out of it
"Oh I'm. Grayson you ready?" "Yep"
We walk out and he nudged me "you didn't tell me you knew her"
"So?" "So? So? She's the one gray"
He stops walking and I turn to look at him
"Devion you're barely able to speak two words to her, how do you know that?"
"Because I can feel it. In here" he puts his heart on his chest
"More like there" I point down to his pants
He swats my finger away "shut the fuck up and get in the car"
He drops me off and I went to meet up with Isabella
I didn't want to tell her but with everything that's happened she deserves answer
God is she gonna be crushed
I hugged her when she approached and we sat down together
"How did the researching go?" She asks with a smile. That smile nearly broke me
"I have to tell you something"
She could tell I was upset. "You can tell me anything"
I let out a deep breath
"When Olivia and I were looking for answers we found that there is no possible way that this could ever happen. Unless..." I trail off
Isabella's POV
He trails off
"Gray just tell me"
He looked at me deep in the eyes and told me
He told me everything he knew
"It's not true"
"But" "no my father would never lie to me. If it were true he would have told me"
His face was full of sadness
"I have to go" I say and walk home
I walk into the kitchen and see my father
"Hey Bella" he greeted me happily
"Am I your daughter?"
He turned around quickly "of course. Why would you ask me that?"
"Because a few nights ago I became a wolf" his head fell and his eyes looked at the floor
"and I know you and mom don't have the curse but I do. So am I yours?" He was silent. "I'm not hearing a yes"
"Listen, Isabella I was just-" "oh my god. You've been lying to me"
I pace around the room "you took way everything. My life. My freedom"
"I was just trying to protect you. When your mom left I took you in. You were being hunted by" "Klaus. I know. I've heard this story before. Why didn't you tell me I wasn't your kid?"
"Because I didn't want you to be in his life. He made your mother leave us"
"she left to be with him?" "Not exactly" "then what exactly because I'm tired of being lied to"
His eyes start to become watery but no tears fall
"Who is he?"
"I...can't"
"Well then I guess I'll find out myself" I say and starts to walk out
"It's Klaus"
I stop in my tracks, shocked of what he said and trying to convince myself I was hearing things
"Your real father is Klaus"
I leave the house
I walk to Grayson's house in the pouring rain with nothing but a jacket keeping me from getting wet
I open the door not caring who was inside
"You were right"
He jumps up from the couch and faces me
"He's not my father"
He immediately hugs me. I feel even more empty inside, yet no tears. I'm not sad just...empty. Like, I have nothing
"What's going on?" Ethan's says walking in
"We'll tell you on the way, right now we need to go the Olivia's" Grayson says
I nod and we leave
We get to Olivia's house
"How am I supposed to do a locater spell with your blood if I don't know who I'm looking for?"
"You're looking for Klaus Mikealson"
"What?" Ethan says. "He's your father?"
"Who's Klaus?" Grayson asks. "Only the most powerful hybrid ever. The first in fact. Are you sure it's him?"
"Only one way to find out. Help me find where he is"
"Ok. I'll need your blood for the tracking spell"
Olivia takes a pocket knife and I grab the blade tightly as she pulls it. My blood goes on the map
"Phasmatos Tribum Nas Ex Veras, Sequita Saguines, Ementas Asten Mihan Ega Petous"
As she chances the blood moves to an area of the map
"Did you find him?" Grayson asks
"Pack your bags. We're going to New Orleans"
