Ciara was stretched out on the couch watching the late news.
It was about another police officer shooting.
She thought about Dj and Dez a lot when it came to these shootings.
She heard keys rattling then the door open revealing Dez coming in from work.
She had some good news to tell him.
" baby why you still up " Dez said putting his keys on the counter going over to Ciara lifting her legs up on his lap so he can massage her swollen feet.
" I couldn't sleep but how was work though"
" it was straight got the chance to train a new member "
" oh that's good , I cooked some chicken if you're hungry "
" it's in the microwave "
" oh ok but what you do all day beside sleep and eat "
Ciara gave him a smug look. Dez threw his hands up surrendering.
" baby you know I was just playing " he said getting up to warm his food.
He came back to the living room where Ciara was rubbing her stomach.
" everything alright " he said concern
" yea she is just kicking "
Dez rubbed his big hands around Ciara stomach.
" baby girl I can't wait for you to come out of there " he said kissing her belly.
Ciara smiled, she loved when Dez talk like this.
She knew he was going to take good care of their "daughter"once they found out the sex.
" I have some things to tell you "
" wassup?"
" well first I got a job "
Dez was happy for Ciara. She knew she love teaching.
" that's good baby "
" I know they want to meet with me tomorrow "
" oh wow I'm happy for you but I don't see how you do it, teaching them bad ass kids "
" oh hush Dez , it's not even like that "
" but anyways what's the second thing " he asked
Ciara was nervous of how he was going to react.
" my father he wants to have talk with me and you "
Dez didn't know what to think. It's been a really long time since they last seen each other.
He remember the conversation they had in the past.

you and my daughter got something going on" Elijah said
Dez didn't know what to say. He figure he might as well tell the truth.
" uh yea " Dez said
Elijah wonder why his daughter didn't tell him.
" for how long ? "
" just two weeks sir but I promise I'm not doing no funny business with her " Dez said
" hmmm bet not be either , my daughter has been hurt before and I don't want to see her get hurt again but I'm trusting you with my daughter "
Dez was relieved by that.
" but let me find out you hurt my baby girl " Elijah said piercing his Hazel eyes into Dez gray ones.
" it's gone be a problem " Elijah said
" Dez you ok ? " Ciara said snapping him out his flashback
" Im-im cool "
" no you're not " Ciara knew it
" yea you right yo pops gone kill me "
" no he is not, he is so over that, I told him everything "
" like what " he said drinking his Gatorade
" that we reconnected and that you are very involve in Dj life "
" what about you pregnant "
" he been knew that "
" this whole time"
" yea you think I would keep something like this away from him "
" I just don't know about this Ci-Ci "
" I'm telling you Dez it's going to be fine besides Max is going to be there " Ciara smiled thinking about her little brother who is definitely not little anymore.
He is 21 now and getting ready to graduate from college.
Dez haven't heard his name in a while, that was his little buddy.
" dang that was my lil patna how is he " Dez said
" he is fine , he is in his last year of college "
" oh thats wassup " Dez said
After talking Dez and Ciara got into bed .
While Ciara slept peacefully Dez was wide awake thinking about the meet with his future father in law.
This was going to be an interesting meet up he kept thinking.

Dj woke up early knowing he had training for basketball.
He barley wanted to get up.
He took him a shower and put on some grey sweats and a hoodie on. He grabbed his book-bag and keys to his car.
His dad was already up making a smoothie.
" Dj when ya first game " Dez asked
" two weeks from today "
" oh aight you should let me know when you want to shoot some hoops with me. " Dez said
" dad you sure about that I don't want you breaking ya back now "
Dez almost choked on his smoothie.
" boy I can teach ya ass something but go on to school and learn something "
Dj just laughed leaving out the door.
Dj drove up to the school going to the weight room seeing the rest of the team.
Mainly his small group friends Mel and Daron.
" wassup y'all " he said dapping them up.
They all looked tired from lack of sleep.
Daron was up late studying for a test while Mel was on the phone trying to cake with some girl.
They all started to jog around the inside track , then did some bench press, and more active stuff.
Dj made it to his first period. It was barley anyone in their but once the bell ring the kids start to pile in , including Nicole.
She had her hair in two puff balls. She wore some ripped jeans and a black hoodie that said " world peace "
Dj like that fact that she would always wear comfortable clothing , she didn't really care about designer things or what was trending at the time.
" wassup Nicole " Dj said
She didn't say anything but kept on moving to her new desk.
He wonder what was up about that.
Dj paid her no mind knowing she was going to talk to her later.

" so you still ain't gone speak to me "
It was now after school and Dj was two mintues away from being late for practice. he wanted to know what was wrong with his friend.
" I-I think we shouldn't be friends anymore "
Dj could not believe what just came out her mouth.
" what " he said calmly.
" I'm not someone you need to be around before you know it , you are going to be one the popular boys around here and you shouldn't be seen with me "
" Nicole where is this coming from I know this is not like you " Dj said shocked.
The friend he has been knowing forever now want to quick him but someone actually threaten for her to stay away from him.
It hurted her in the inside and knew if she didn't follow the rules her life would be in danger.
" I'm sorry I-I can't do this anymore "
Dj was pissed.
" so you just gone give up on our friendship like that "
" yes "
" ok say no more , have a nice life " Dj said walking away without knowing what was behind it.
Nicole really had to stay strong. She watch as her old best friend go inside the gym.
She quietly walked out the school building looking for her.
" did you do it " she asked
" yes he is all yours now " Nicole said sadly.
" good " the girl said grinning.
She watch as the girl and her group of friends make their way to cheer practice.
