The beasts lurched towards our group and the man who controlled them disappeared from sight. A cry of fright was heard behind me and as the creature I controlled lunged into battle, I turned to usher my friends into the safety of the car. Only the driver was not in any position to move.

Ken had used his vampiric speed to capture the driver in his powerful arms and tilt his head to the side, his fangs drawing dangerously close to the man's neck.

"You can't save them all," he whispered loud enough for me to hear it and plunged his razor sharp fangs into the driver's neck, a scream piercing the night from the man as grunts of pain echoed from the other side of me. The beast at my command was having trouble with the three creatures who were circling it, waiting for an opening to attack.

In my head, I felt the queen decide to help the creature before the man and I made her freeze, my will wanting to save the man since he was human.

The creature is mine. The man will die even if we help him. She said but I did not care. The driver put up with our strange ways and was nice enough to not complain at our choice in music, style, or language. He was a nice man and didn't deserve to go out that way.

Steeling my resolve, I pushed the queen back and without another glance towards the lion and jackals, I jumped onto the car and lunged myself into the air and at the vampire who was not quite expecting me to be so careless. My arms grabbed onto Ken and dragged him off of the driver and to the ground, my body landing atop his with a great deal of force. For a moment, the air in my lungs escaped and I tried with all of my might to gain more but as it seemed, it was easier said than done.

The man dropped to the ground, blood still pouring out of his wound and I pushed with everything I had for him to be okay. My head moved up and down as Ken began to chuckle, his chest rock hard and solid beneath my face. The weak limbs I had hoisted my body up and I was suddenly pulled back down to his chest.

"Ah Sena, the queen within you would have chosen her follower instead of the man. Good to know who I am dealing with right now," he sneered and I felt my frown turn into a grimace. Although I was weak from falling to the ground, I used my free hands to give him a good punch to his manhood. His arms immediately released me and I rolled out of his grasp and up into a crouch.

"Then you should know that I play dirty," I said and gathered the queen's essence in my head into my hand, a yellow glow taking form in the shape of a fire. Fire kills vampires right? Let's see him evade this. As I lifted it above my head to launch it at the man, a high pitched,

"Stop!" echoed into the night. Mary ran to me and grabbed my arm, the fire disappearing into a puff of smoke.

"What are you doing? He isn't Ken," I rushed and went to gather the power back into my palm but her sobs had me frozen in place.

"I know he isn't Ken but I still don't want him dead Sena. Something is telling me that he can't die yet." I shook my head and kept an eye on the man who's manhood seemed to be recovering from my direct hit. Everything in me was saying to kill him but now it wasn't so simple. Why couldn't it be simple?

"Mary. Get in the car. I will take in your feelings later but he will kill you. If need be, check on the driver and make sure he is okay," I said and pushed at her to go. She was like a sister to me. I wasn't going to let her die.

"Do not climb to your feet or my beast will kill you," my lips moved on their own as the queen slid forward. The lion under her control had just finished off the last of the jackals and was stalking its way toward the man who was still grasping his manhood. Woman or not, men naturally have more weaknesses than women.

"Let me put it this way your majesty. If you kill me now, someone you love will die," he spat out and sat up a small bit. The low growl from my lion kept him from moving any more. His words made my blood run cold and I glanced around to look at my friends. Was one of them betraying me as well? No, their surprise is true. But if it is not them, then who could it possibly be?

"Sena!" I heard a male voice shout and within moments, the queen was in control and feverishly looking for the source of the voice. No...

"Tutankhanman?!" The others gasped and the pharaoh appeared by my side, his body radiating love and fear.

"What are you doing here? You must leave. This is-"

"The sorcerer," he finished for me and I nodded, anger seeping into my heart. This man before us had ruined our entire lives. I wanted nothing more than to singe every cell in his body but his words had made me worry.

"Who is it that is connected to you?" I shouted in desperation, irritation and pain running through me. The body next to me stiffened and the despicable man before us grinned before looking toward the other vampire.

"Take a wild guess my queen," Ken sneered and inched his way to his hands and knees, the beast under my control following his every move. Every part of me went still and my eyes slowly found those of my king. So much pain was hidden inside of them.

"No..." A booming chuckle followed my single word and the threat of tears filled me up until I could not focus.

"Yes," he said and climbed fully to his feet, my beast looking between myself and its prey. I flicked my wrist in the man's direction and the beast used a large paw to slice into his thigh, a blood curdling scream reverberating out of his mouth, an echo of the scream being heard beside me. It was true. There on my love's thigh was a mirror slice like that of the lion's blade like claws had created on Ken.

"You bastard! How dare you!?" The skin slowly began to stitch itself back together, the blood the vampire had consumed helping to heal his body. I went to launch myself at the man when his eyes and fangs flashed at me in a warning. I halted and watched helplessly as he ran with his vampiric speed to the other female. He put his arms around her and lifted her like a fresh bride and gave me one last hiss before they both disappeared.

I ran to where they had been and frantically searched for any sign of them. To my chagrin, there was nothing in the sea of black save for myself, the males, and the lion.

"S-Sena, please explain what just happened," I heard Orlando's voice say and I couldn't help he tears.

"Hello. I go by Khan but I am better known as Tutankhamun, a previous pharaoh of Egypt." The boys took in air and looked at him as if he had grown a second head.

My king's arms wrapped around me and he pulled me to his chest in a comforting gesture.

"We will defeat him and get your friend back, I promise," he whispered and my tears poured out even more. He took Mary. I don't know where they went or how to save her. Just yesterday I was an average American in college, and overnight I became a queen. I lost my friend who I had vowed to protect and I had to figure out how to kill Ken without killing the one I love.

"Sena?" I glanced over to the two humans and wiped my tears away. I had to protect them at all costs.

"Orlando. Zack. My name is Sena but I am also Ankhsenamun, this man's wife. To put it simply, we are not dead. Well, I'm no longer dead, he is undead." They gravitated toward one another as we both spoke insane things.

"T-that's impossible... you can't be them," Zack pointed and quivered in our presence. I looked to the vampire still holding me and he looked just as lost as I.

"What can we do to prove it to you?" Khan asked the boys and their eyes connected before they started to whisper to one another. Khan seemed to be listening in on them with his vampiric hearing. A small grin appeared on his lips as the boys turned back to us.

"It was said that Tut and his bride had two children who were stillborn. There were no records of the names of the babies. What were they called?" I felt my heart fall and every part of me wanted to break down and sob. Khan's arms pulled me against him and I felt him shudder as if he were ready to cry as well.

"They were to be called Teferiamun and Alasamun. Please don't mention them. It is still a touchy subject." The unsaid words between Khan and I about our daughters were left just that way, unsaid. It was the reason we had grown apart in our last days alive.

"How do you know that for sure? How do we know if you are just making up names?" I narrowed my eyes to the two remaining boys and pulled away from the vampire holding me as I started to stalk toward them with venom in my eyes. If looks could kill...

Khan took my arm and pulled me back, keeping me pinned with a strength stronger than my own. He recognized the look in my eye to be the same one as the look Ken had when he wanted to kill me.

"Please do not antagonize her. It may have been over two-thousand years ago but the spirit of the queen within her is still very much fresh to the pain." The boys had grown stronger in heart since the vampire and Mary had gone but it was not stronger than the will I had over the death of my daughters. A part of me rationalized for a moment that the babies hadn't been mine. They had been the queen's not mine.

But the part that felt that was quickly pushed back as the queen's rage fueled her rise to the surface.

"So you truly are Tutankhamun and Ankhesenamun?" Zack was nearly jumping with excitement. My tense body finally calmed down and I patted the vampire to let me go. His arms released me but didn't wander far as he kept contact with me.

"We are but now we are different people and go by different names. I was born in the United States and named Sena so that is who I am but I have two souls within me. Both are dominant and both are truly me. I am Sena but I am also Ankhesenamun. I did die thousands of years ago but I am alive today as well. The soul of the queen did not surface until confronted by something that she remembered so she could recognize who she was. And that something was her husband, the king."
