❝ i am a friend of the universe
at night i tell the moon stories
and embrace the stars
and when the sun comes up
i bathe in her majesty
i showed you the universe
at night we walked the dark side of the moon
and skipped the stars like stones
and when the sun came up
we stole her light
and ran like it was nothing
and as we ran i realised
i didn't love the moon,
the sun
and all the stars
the same way as i did
upon meeting you
and as we ran
you became my universe.
and now that you're gone
i sit on my windowsill
with my legs dangling out the window
and my gaze pointed to the sky
the moon is gone
and the stars are not aligned
the sun,
she shines on my back
but i feel nothing but cold rain ❞
