Camila woke up and Lauren wasn't there.
And she didn't know what to feel. Maybe she was in the bathroom, she thought but she knew she was lying to herself. The bathroom was quiet and no lights can be seen from the tiny gaps around the door.
She wanted to cry but no tears could escape. Why is she sad? She sort of expected this. Lauren was always busy and she understood that. She herself was busy.
Before she could lean to check her phone, the door opened. And her heart stopped, she only wanted one girl behind that door.
And it wasn't her.
"Camz, I bought you some banana waffles. Still don't know why it's two dollars more expensive than ordinary waffles but fuck it. Here you go princess." Alexis said as she walked over towards her bed. She put down the plastic plate on the bedside counter and gave Camila a weak smile.
"Did you see Lauren?" Camila asked hopefully.
"No... I thought she was going to be here.. I bought her some food too." Alexis replied truthfully, taking out, showing Camila the other bag she was holding. Alexis frowned at this new information, she just began to like the green eyed girl. The least she can do is leave her a note so she won't have to worry.
"Check your phone.. I'm sure she won't leave unexplained." Alexis suggested and Camila quickly plugged out her phone from her charger and unlocked it.
No text, no call.
"Fuck. Um, hey-" Alexis began but was cut by the door suddenly opening.
"Surprise!!!!!!!" Roger exclaimed as he walked in with a cake with the writing : CC1
Landon stood behind him with a bouquet of rose behind his back, smiling widely but immediately frowned when she saw the frown on his best friend's face. He didn't even bother hiding the flowers anymore and just jumped on the bed to console her.
"What's wrong?" He eyed Alexis warningly, making sure she didn't do anything. Alexis shrug in complain, a bit offended Landon would think she would hurt her. He was aware of Alexis' feelings and confronted her, of course, she couldn't lie to his twin.
"Nothing.. thank you so much guys. I love you." Camila stated warmly and gave the boy a tight hug. She then proceeded to do the same to Alexis and Roger.
The door opened again...
"Congratulations Camz!" Lauren chirped and the girls stood behind her, all grinning widely.
Camila's face brightened but was still pissed at Lauren for leaving without telling her. Not to be clingy but Lauren knew how insecure she was. Before she could stop herself, tears started dropping down her tears. She can't tell whether it was out of joy that Lauren was there or sadness that she left like she always did.
"Hey Camz.. what's wrong?" Lauren asked. Landon got off the bed to give both girls some space. She softly rubbed her arms and kissed her temple.
"You... you weren't here." Camila mumbled.
"Baby.. I left you a note."
"What?"
"Yeah.. A post it on the side of the fridge."
"WHO THE FUCK GOES TO THE FRIDGE AFTER THEY WAKE UP LAUREN." Camila exclaimed, a bit frustrated at the idiot she was hugging but chuckled at her dumbness.
"But.. your bananas are on the kitchen counter. I assumed you would head over to the kitchen to grab some.. and then you'll see the note and we'd be like those cute movie couples." Lauren ranted and Camila kissed her forehead to show her adoration.
She then got off her bed and hugged Dinah. She extended her arms and the other girls joined in the hug.
"Hey! You do know I'm the one still in the band right? I deserve to be in this group hug." Lauren complained, hugging Camila from behind.
They continued hugging for a while until Camila let go. She walked over to Roger and gave the older man a hug.
"Can we have cake for breakfast?" Camila asked.
"Fuck you." Alexis scolded, still holding Lauren's bag.
"Oh, I'm sorry baby I forgot." Camila chuckled, grabbing the plate.
"I didn't know you guys were coming so I got you nothing, I did buy Lauren some pancakes, hope you like them." Alexis replied, handing Lauren the bag. She thanked her.
Camila got out the room and her family was waiting for her in the living room. Her parents congratulated her and they indulged in a small conversation on how proud they were and how happy she was. Sofi just kept on bouncing up and down in excitement.
" You have a studio performance tonight and an interview with Chelsea. And of course, the album release party." Roger went back to business.
"Okay." Camila said, chewing her waffle. She walked over to the kitchen and smirked when she saw the post it. The note was neatly written and Lauren even drew a cute heart smile with a smiley face on it at the bottom right of the post it.
Dear Camz,
Hi princess, I had to go with the girls to do something. I'll be back to chill later... I wanted to wake u up to say goodbye but I didn't want to wake my angel up. You were shivering so I put an extra blanket around you. Don't freak out when you see it okay? Thanks for not breaking the promise, you're still the greatest cuddler I've ever cuddled with.

Camila ran back to the living room and jumped on an eating Lauren, who almost choked to death. She filled her face with pecks and although Lauren was suffocating, she grinned widely.
"I thought you left." Camila mumbled and Lauren kissed her forehead.
"Never again." Lauren replied.
They finished their breakfast together on the Cabello's huge dining table but Landon couldn't help but sense the other half of him wasn't there.
"Has anyone seen Alexis?" Landon questioned and when Camila realized she wasn't there, she stood up to look for her but Normani stopped her. Lauren didn't tell Normani but her and Dinah had a feeling Alexis was hiding her feelings for the brown eyed girl. She looked at Camila the same way Dinah stares at Beyonce. And that, in their opinion, is true love.
"I think I saw her going outside, I'll go check on her." Normani said, surprising everyone. Since when did she care about Alexis.
"I'll come." Dinah added and they both nodded in understanding. They walked outside their house and Alexis was sitting with her face on her knees. She looked up when she heard footsteps. She didn't have tears on her face but her eyes screamed sadness.
The two girls each sat on her side. Alexis was confused.
"Did you guys finish breakfast?"
"No.. we wanted to check on you." Dinah replied, sounding concerned.
"I'm alright."
"You... sure?" Normani asked, knowing that she was definitely not alright but didn't want to push her because they're barely friends.
"Yeah." Her eyes met Normani's and gave her a sweet smile. At that time, she knew how good of an actress Alexis was.
It was when Camila came out and spoke when Alexis eyes couldn't continue lying. Normani saw what the problem was. She've been through this before with Lauren and she knew what was wrong. She was pretty sure Dinah knew too.
"You're not eating breakfast?"
"Not hungry Mila.."
"Mila?" Camila was worried now, the girl never called her Mila. But when Alexis heard Lauren call her Camz and saw those wide grins she always had whenever she heard the nickname, Alexis didn't feel like she deserved to say that nickname no more.
"Hmm... I'm gonna go. You finished your waffles right?" This has became a habit, Alexis would drop by almost every morning to bring her breakfast and she would stay with the smaller girl to try and persuade her to eat as much as possible. But now, she was no longer needed.
"Are you coming for the after party?"
"Hm.."
"Alexis, I swear, if you're not coming. I will drag your ass out your house and shove you inside my car trunk and drive you to the party myself." Camila joked, hugging the blue eyed girl's waist.
"Hmm.. yeah, you want me to come?"
"Of Course!"
"Then I'll be there. You know I'd do anything for you."

The album was no.1 in 13 countries and Camila couldn't be happier. She was currently in her after party and was talking to some of her acquaintances. Suddenly, a pair of hands curled around her waist and she smiled when she smelled the scent from behind her.
"Baby.." Camila said, turning her body so she was facing Lauren and immediately hugged her back. Lauren chuckled at her action but felt her heart flutter.
"How'd you know it was me?"
"You smell like shit."
"Oh wow, so romantic."
"You smell great" Camila said, giggling. She kissed the tip of her nose and laid her forehead on Lauren's. She was aware that there were people around them staring at them but she didn't care. This was her party so, fuck everyone.
"I bought your album... I like only told the moon. Wonder who's it for?" Lauren joked, even though she knew it was for her. Camila wrote that a long time ago while she was still in the band and Lauren had been the muse.
"For no one." Camila joked back, holding her hands as she fixed her eyes on Lauren's beautiful emerald ones. It still amazed her how much life she saw in her eyes. Hers was the only pair of eyes she wants to see for the rest of her life. She was still drowning in Lauren's eyes as she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ears. Lauren's eyes turned a bit brighter, feeling happy and content. She looked both hot and adorable and Camila couldn't take it anymore. She pushed her face towards hers and their lips met in an intense kiss.
The idiot couldn't stop smiling though. This of course, made Lauren smile too.
"Camz.. stop smiling, you're making it hard for us to you know, kiss." Lauren complained as she moved to deepen the kiss. She was gently pushing the back of Camila's neck and Camila moaned in pleasure. Camila's hands travelled towards the other girl's waist and at that moment, they both couldn't be any closer.
"Finally!" Dinah shouted from across the room as she walked over towards them. Camila couldn't help but laugh into Lauren's mouth. Camila let go of the green eyed girl and turned her body to see Dinah. She gave the captain a thumbs up, only to be replied with a huge grin.
"You know this is supposed to be a listening party right, you're not really doing a lot of listening here girls.." Landon chuckled as he greeted the two Cuban girls. Camila put her arms around her best friend while Lauren gave him a polite smile.
"Where's Alexis?" Camila asked but Landon's face immediately dropped.
"She texted me saying she arrived a while back... You haven't seen her?" Landon looked around the room slowly and he couldn't stop worrying.
"She went outside. I got her." Dinah lied. She walked all around the studio, trying to find the gorgeous model and she finally did. She was sitting in front of the bathroom. She held a full glass of beer on one hand and she was staring emptily at the floor.
Dinah knew her suspicions were correct.

"So Camila.. congratulations on the success of your album! It's so good oh my God. I've been listening to it since morning. You're amazing." Chelsea beamed, looking at her intently.
"Thanks, I'm glad you liked it."
"Of course I did, in fact a lot of people liked it, considering it's no.1 right now in the worldwide chart."
"Yeah. Oh my God, it's surreal."
"So.. what's it like? To have the support of the fans? and of course, your family's here and your friends. I saw Landon just now and the girls of fifth harmony."
"Yeah, this album won't be anything without my closest friends honestly. Landon and Alexis have always been there for me through everything. They made sure I knew my worth and supported me through every ups and downs. I love them so much and I'm glad to be able to share this with them."
"And fifth harmony..? I've got to ask, since it's a bit weird that all of a sudden you guys are buddies again. Not that I'm complaining.. of course."
"Um, yeah.. we've put the past behind us. I love them and support them and I hope they'll do the same for me. Now I know they do because well, they're here!" Camila's eyes landed on the green eyes she loved that was watching her from behind Chelsea. She gave Camila a weak smile and a thumbs up.
"A lot of the songs on the album are you know.. love songs..? So you've been single for a while, I wonder how you can write them? Where do you get your inspirations from?"
"I sort of imagine scenarios sometimes.. it's pathetic but I'm pretty much a hopeless romantic. And when I fall.. I fall really hard. So it's hard for me to move on sometimes and I like to go back to my past romances a lot. I can write an entire album just for one person."
"Anyone special in your life right now? Can we expect another album anytime soon?" Chelsea asked, causing Camila to laugh out loud. This was her chance... she could just end their misery and tell the world about the girl who owns her heart.
"I- I mean, yeah, I don't know." Camila felt her cheeks burning as they turned red. She dangerously looked over to Lauren, whose face was equally red but was smirking nevertheless. She blew Camila a kiss, making the smaller girl even more frustrated. She was proud of Camila for even daring to tease her fans of a potential lover. Here comes the Camren theories...
"Well, I'm gonna leave you at that. We appreciate your privacy. Congratulations on your album once again!" Chelsea gave her a farewell hug as Camila walked over to the stage. Her eyes wandered around the room and when they met those she was obsessed with, she mouthed "For you."
Which was risky as heck, considering this was all being livestreamed on Facebook. She sang the whole album while making jokes here and there. The whole time, her princess stood in front of the stage, right in the middle, smiling at her widely every time their eyes meet to let the girl know how great she was doing. If a line was written for Lauren, Camila would smile cheekily and Lauren would know. She occasionally closed her eyes to appreciate the music and Camila would admire the creases on her forehead and wanted so badly to reach over and kissed the space in between her eyebrows. By now, the fans might be confused why Camila kept on staring at the same direction, never once to any of the cameras. But Camila didn't mind.. if you had someone as gorgeous as Lauren Jauregui standing in front of you, it's only right to admire her.
Once the small concert was over and applause were heard, Camila said a couple things to her fans and when the cameras turned off. She hopped off the stage and gave Lauren a hug. She didn't even realize Normani and Ally standing beside them, watching them with wide grins.
"So proud babygirl..." Lauren whispered and Camila shivered a bit when she heard her low register.
"Thanks." Camila mumbled, pecking her left cheek.
"Just so you know.. our album will be better." Lauren let her tongue out, to tell Camila it was a joke. Camila didn't even care. She battled her tongue with hers and slipped it back in Lauren's mouth. Lauren groaned in the sudden contact but kissed her back with the same hunger. Ally looked around the room nervously, knowing that even though most of them were celebrities that understood how hard it was to keep their personal lives private, there were cameras all around. At this point though, Ally thought Camila didn't care. Lauren clearly didn't.
Normani coughed nervously at the couple making out in front of her. Again, Camila pulled out from the kiss.
Lauren groaned in complain and then hugged her waist from behind. She pouted as she laid her head on her shoulder and kissed her cheeks. "I just want to take you home, lay you down and eat you out." She muttered, causing all three girl's eyes to widen and Camila hit her on the arm.
"I meant lay you down and eat cereal with you." Lauren said, rolling her eyes a bit.
"Sure babe. But I've been working on this album for a while, can't just leave right now. I need to know whether or not people like it." Camila said.
"We loved it." Ally brightly spoke and Normani nodded vigorously in agreement.
"Thanks girls." Camila was about to pull them into a hug but Lauren's hold on her was getting tighter.
"My God... How clingy are you? Lauren..." Camila laughed, to be honest, she would rather stay in her arms forever. To Camila, Lauren is home, Lauren is love and Lauren's touch is safety. So this clingy side of Lauren was definitely not a problem to her.
"C'mon girl, you gotta share her too." Normani playfully tried to pry Lauren's hands away from Camila but Lauren then hit her arm. Normani pretended to be in pain and her mouth formed an 'O' shape as she narrowed her eyes at Lauren.
"Mine!" Lauren shouted, tightening her hold.
"Lauren.. Jesus, I'm dying here." Camila touched Lauren's arms and realized how cold it was.
"You're so cold."
"Exactly, keep me warm." She nuzzled her face onto Camila's neck. She knew she was being extra clingy lately but can she help it? She hasn't had any contact with her for more than a year. Right now, they're just showing their love, however, Lauren had a feeling this won't be as smooth as she hoped it would. They need to discuss a lot of things, and she was ready. She was ready to fight for Camila.
"Babe... I gotta go around..." Camila mumbled and Lauren finally let go of her. Camila quickly pecked her pouting lips then proceeded to give two of her bandmates a hug.
"Where's Dinah?"
"Still with Alexis, doing God knows what." Normani replied.

"What're you doing here? Camila's looking for you." Dinah sat on the floor beside her and cautiously moved her arms around the girl's shoulder.
"Hmph? I was just.. I don't know. Not in the mood for parties." Alexis chuckled nervously, shifting a bit so that Dinah could sit closer to her and not block the pathway to the bathroom.
"So, why're you here?"
"Cam- Mila, she worked hard for this album, only right if I dropped by." Alexis gave her a weak smile and Dinah honestly didn't want to hate her but if her suspicion that Alexis liked Camila was true, she was sort of in her ship's business and Dinah can't have that.
"Why haven't you say hi to her then?"
"I just arrived and she- she was talking to you guys. Didn't want to intrude."
"You're her best friend, you won't be intruding anything."
"Yeah, I'll say hi. She's probably getting interviewed right now."
They watched Camila doing her interview in silence and when Camila took the stage, Alexis lips formed a small smile. Every little action that Camila did, Dinah would look at Alexis and noticing those blue eyes filled with love and endearment. And Dinah's heart broke for her.
Because she knew the type of love she was talking about wasn't the love Dinah had for her Chanco.
Dinah followed Alexis' gaze, which was looking straight at Lauren, who was intently watching Camila. Alexis looked down and then she started gulping down her drink like it was water.
"Woah.. You might want to slow down there..."
"I'm fine." Alexis' tone turned cold. She closed her eyes shut and started shaking her head.
"What's wrong?"
"She's happier."
"Huh?"
"She's happier." Alexis repeated.
"Camila?" Dinah asked and Alexis nodded.
"She broke her, and now she's back and she fixed her again. It's not fair." Alexis voice broke and tears were starting to flow down her beautiful eyes.
"I- I've been there for her through everything. Every fucking thing, trying to pick up her broken pieces. Broke mine so she could have a whole again. But it never worked and she just turned them down each time. Now she's back and it's barely been two weeks, and- and-" Her tears were starting to overflow and she furiously wiped her face with her sleeves. Dinah didn't care that they weren't friends, she just hugged her tight.
"And she looks at her as if she's her whole fucking world. She broke her Dinah. What if she broke her again? Who'll be the one to pick up all her broken pieces and eventually step on them and get broken instead? Me. Always me, Dinah. Me. And I'll never stop because I love her. I fucking love her." Alexis pointed to her chest as she tries to calm herself down. Dinah understood her position, and can't imagine how selfless she had to be to smile through all the pain she had to endure. She had to watch the girl she loved for a while now fall back in love with the girl she tried helping forget.
"No offense Alexis.. I admire you, I really do, you're a great friend, I'm glad Camila found you. But Lexis... You don't have the slightest clue of what happened to them. Lauren was hurting as much as Camila was-"
"Dinah! She had Lucy! Camila couldn't even record love songs without bursting into tears! Lauren had Lucy to hold, to kiss, to fuck, to love and she fucking dumped her in a second like it was nothing-"
"Don't give me that bullshit. Lucy's her best friend. You think this is easy for her? It's tearing her apart too. She does't know what she's feeling too Alexis. She just wants her and I know Camila feels the same. I'm not saying it was right of Lauren to date Lucy even though she knew what she felt wasn't love. But when you encounter a love like they did, you wouldn't be able to find a love as beautiful as what they had. So Lauren had to accept whatever love she could receive." Dinah liked Alexis, but she had no right to comment on Camren, mainly because she had no fucking idea what they went through and she never will.
When Alexis didn't reply, Dinah continued. "Look at them.." Lauren had her arms around Camila's waist as Camila looked at her lovingly, her hands rubbing Lauren's palms. "Tell me that's not love from both sides.."
"I get it, they're in love. Dinah... You have to be blind to not see that. That's the fucking problem. People in love have the most power over each other. She cried Dinah, just because Lauren wasn't there to wake up beside of her."
"So what? Yeah, she's insecure. I'd be insecure too if I was her. But I know Lauren. She knows Camila like the back of her hand, she'd remind Camila know how loved she is. Relax... I promise you that if Lauren fuck up, I'd let you beat her up. That's because it'll never happen. Not purposely at least. She loves the girl." Dinah continued watching the two interact with each other. Camila was now talking to the other girls but Lauren's gaze was still on Camila's. She then cheekily kissed her hair and Dinah smiled at the small gesture.
"I know Dinah.. I want them together." Alexis mumbled.
"But you love her."
Alexis nodded.
"And it hurts?"
Alexis nodded.
She pointed to her chest, she swore, she felt a physical pang. "Like hell."
"I'm sorry." And Dinah meant it. Alexis is a good person who deserved nothing but happiness, in Dinah's opinion.
"Alexis.. they're soulmates. You and I both know it. You should try to-"
"Move on?" Alexis spat, laughing mockingly.
"Yeah."
"Call me when you find someone as perfect as she is." Dinah could feel the heartbreak all the way from her heart.
"Promise me you won't do anything to them... please." Dinah felt guilty that Alexis had spilled all her heart to Dinah but that Camren was still Dinah's concern.
"I would never do that to her." Alexis whispered, giving her a weak smile of re-assurance and Dinah trusted her.
Camila spotted them from afar and frowned when she saw the tears on Alexis face. She quickly let go of herself from Lauren's hold and rushed towards her side.
Dinah knew that these actions aren't helping but Camila had always been the affectionate one.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I- I gotta go. Your album was fucking amazing Mila... I'm proud of you. So so so proud" Alexis laid her forehead on Camila's and Dinah almost cried at how broken Alexis sounded.
"Alexis... what's wrong." Camila repeated, not believing her bullshit at all.
"I- I gotta go." Alexis kissed her temple and rushed outside the house. Camila looked at Dinah expectantly, wanting her to start talking but Dinah felt like it wasn't her right. So she just shrugged.
"She's been acting weird.." Camila said but ignored it when she thought that Alexis wouldn't lie to her. She was sure Alexis was fine and reminded herself that she should visit her best friend later. Right now, she had other people to attend to. So she went around the party faking smiles and hearing criticisms for her new album.
What hurt Dinah was the fact that she knew.. if it was Lauren going out that door with tears in her eyes, Camila would leave in a heartbeat.
But Alexis wasn't Lauren.
