Chapter 3
Jace’s POV
We still had a couple of hours to kill before we had to go to my parents’ house.
So I suggested we go outside by the pool and talk.
Once we got out there and sat down I couldn’t stop staring at Kalanie. She is so beautiful.
"Are you going to stare at me all day Jace or do you wanna talk?"
"Well…"
"Okay, um no… We are going to play 20 questions?"
"Fine!" I huff.
"You can start," She says sweetly.
"Hmmmm…. What is your favorite candy?"
"Chocolate duh. Every girl loves chocolate!"
"I am so sorry to offend!" I laugh!
"Okay, so what is your favorite sport?"
"Well, I like wolf training. Does that count?"
"Nope."
"Well I like---"
Ding-Dong! I was interuppted.
"Come with me to get the door."
We walked to the door and I opened it. There in all her whorey-glory was this girl from the pack who was obsessed with me and thinks we are dating.
"Hey Jace baby!"
"Savannah! I DO NOT LIKE YOU! You are not welcome here! Now leave for the hundreth time!"
"But Jace, we are boyfriend and girlfriend!"
"Listen slut! Get the heck outta here!" Kalanie interjects.
"Who the eff are you?"
"Jacey? Would you like to answer that?"
"Savannah meet my mate- Kalanie."
"No she is frickin not! She’s too ugly and isn’t she like an orphan?"
"Well, I am way better than your painted on donkey butt face!"
"You did not just go there!"
I am cracking up by this point! Kalanie is so funny! How does she have these comebacks when she has spent her whole life inside?
"Oh I did. What are you gunna do about it? Have someone hold your earrings and try to fight me- Oh my bad you would never do that- Because I go right to breaking your nails first and we don’t want your nails broken do we?" Kalanie slightly evil but sweetly replies.
"Ugghhhhhhh!!!!! You are going down bitch!"
"At least I’m not a whore!"
"Slut!"
"Prostitute."
"Skank!"
"You know what? Why do you waste money on plastic surgery when it just makes you uglier?"
"I don’t have plastic surgery!"
"Ooops my bad, I ment liposuction, you can’t be naturally that skinny unless you do that or have anorexia or bulemia…."
"Your obviously the one with plastic surgery! I mean what do you have D cups?"
"Nope DD cups…. Made naturally by God!"
"Ughhh, I am leaving!"
"Good nobody wants you here- or anywhere else!"
"This is not over…."
"Whatevs!"
She got in her pink convertable and drove off..
I was laughing so hard tears were coming out of my eyes.
"Come on Jace! It wasn’t that funny!"
"Oh my god, yes it was! You totally burned her! She was so shocked because nobody talks to her like that."
"Well its time somebody did."

Kalanie’s POV
Ahaa!
I so burned her!
"Kalanie?"
"Yup?"
"You spent like an hour arguing with Savannah so we have to leave for my parents’ house in about two hours."
"Okay, I’m going to take a shower then."
"Alright, would you like me to show you to the bathroom then?"
"Nah. I’ll just take a shower in the garden with the hose. Will you help?" I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes.
His face looked priceless! He thought I was serious and he looked so excited!
"Hahahaha! I got you!"
He looked so confused.
"I was kidding Jace! Jeez I can’t believe you thought I was serious!"
"That’s it!" He yells!
He picked me up and ran out the sliding glass door to the pool and jumped in with me in his arms.
Splash!
When we surfaced I gave him a murderous look.
"That’s what you get for messing with me Lanie!"
"Jace!"
"Hey Lanie? Have you ever kissed someone under water?"
"Uhh no."
He was my first kiss so obviously not- but he doesn’t know that.
"Well neither have I; but, I’d love to try it."
With that he pulled me underwater and we started making out.
I have to say it was an interesting experience…..
"Okay Lanie, we should probably both take some showers now."
"Hmmm.. I’d say that’s a good idea Jace."
"We can take one together?" He suggested.
"Nah. I think I’ll pass you up this time…"
"Dangggg….:"
He looked so disapointed. But I couldn’t let him see the bruises on me from where my uncle beat me up one last time before he died... Jace would freak.
"I’ll have to take a rain check on that."
"Ugh fine! Here, I’ll show you where the shower is."
He showed me and I took a ten minute shower.
When I got out I realized that I didn’t bring my clothes up with me!
Ah shizz!
"Jace?" I call.
"Yup?"
"Umm… I left my clothes downstairs…. Can you bring me them?"
"Sure."
He was up within five minutes with my suitcase.
I had a towel around me, so I reached out to get it.
"Kalanie? What are those bruises on you!?!?!"
"Uhhh…"
"Don’t you dare lie to me…."
"He had beat me up one last time the day before he died."
He started shaking the hardest this time… I don’t know if I will be able to stop him…
