His POV
"Hey Ni," Y/N's voice was quite on the other end of the call. "Can I come over?" She sounds sad almost scared. "Yah yah of course." I stuttered sitting up, now fully awake. Y/N can come anytime time she wants. It doesn't matter that its almost 3 AM. About 5 minutes later, there was a quiet knock on the door. I grabbed my sweatshirt from the couch and pulled it over my head while walking to there door. When I opened it, there she was. Except something is wrong. Her knee length dress is ripped, and dirty. Her hair looks like a mess. She was holding a pair of black heels, one that looked broken.
"Jesus, Y/N. What happened to ya?" I blurted out pulling her into the house. She wouldn't look up at me, that's when I could feel my heart sinking. Sometimes when we hang out I notice little things. She doesn't talk as much as she used to. Every now and then blue and purple bruises show on her arms, legs, of neck. Of course when ever I asked her she would say, its nothing, I tripped, I hit a bench. But deep down I knew it was that asshole of a boyfriend she has, and I swore I would let it happen again.
"Y/N look at me." I instructed. She slowly looked up at me, and anger boiled inside me. Her right eye is slightly swollen and discolored. Her neck covered by black and blue, I can practically see the hand print on her neck. "Niall, we just got in a little argument on our way home from a party. Its noth--" She started to defend him.
"Don't ya dare tell me it's nothin." I yelled, I didn't mean to yell at her. I'm just so angry. Tears slipped over her red cheeks, and she took a step back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just- how can you just let that asshole do that to you. What kind of man hits a women he supposedly loves. What kind of man hits any woman." The more I thought about it the angrier I got. I bawled my fists tight against my side. He treats her like shit, "He needs to get his ass kicked then he'll know how it feels." I growled through my teeth. Suddenly she was comforting me, her small cold hands on my face.
"Niall, please stop. Can you just hold me?" She sniffed tears still running down her face. Her body swaying slightly, she looks exhausted. I scanned her face, the bruises getting darker with every passing moment. "Lets get you some different clothes. You can sleep in my bed." I gave her my the best smile I could considering all the anger coursing though my veins. She followed me to my room and I gave her a jumper and some sweat pants. I didn't expect her to strip and change there. Her whole back and legs, were peppered with bruises.
I clenched my jaw and bawled my fist trying to contain my anger as she climbed onto my bed and under the blankets. I climbed in beside her, and wrapped my arms around her like I've done so many times before. "Goodnight princess." I whispered. But she was already sleeping, when I flipped off the lights. There's no way in hell I'm going to let him get away with laying a finger her.
Your POV
When I woke up it took me a second to remember where I was. Niall's room, and he isn't here any more. When i fell asleep he was laying next to me. Niall is my savior. If it wasn't for him I would be at my flat with that asshole right now. Just to have the whole incident happen again in a few weeks. The whole night came back to me and I tried to shake the memory away.
My neck was sore when I craned my neck to see if he had maybe gone into the other room. I slowly climbed out of bed and padded into the living room, but he wasn't on the couch. I searched the whole house calling his name. He isn't here. I got my phone and called the first number on my recent calls list.
"Hey what are you doing up?" He asked shortly. "Where are you?" I could here cars passing in the background. "I needed to do something. I'm coming back now." He sounded pissed. "Are you- Did you go to my house?!" Fear washed over me at the thought of what could have happened to Niall. If anything happened to him, I would never forgive myself.
"Someone had to teach that asshole a lesson." He said flatly. "Niall you could have gotten hurt, why would you do that. You didn't have to do that." I rambled. He took a deep breath, "I'm fine, I'll see you soon." He said before hanging up. As stupid as it was that he went there and confronted him, I was happy that he did. Happy that my best friend stood up for me. Happy that someone did, because I never would have. And I was so sick of feeling trapped. I didn't realize until that I love Niall, and I always had.
