"She what?!" I put my hand on my chest with the biggest grin on my face.

"Yes girl it shocked us too. Lelanie was in full blown tears over you. We couldn't even get on the bus good enough before she just started crying her eyes out."

"Aww that's cute. I couldn't imagine her mean ass crying about me. Someone should have got that on camera for me!"

"Bitch I hope you know I can hear you! And anyway I wasn't crying that hard. This heifer is exaggerating."

I laughed at her. "Damn Key thank you for telling me I'm on speaker!"

"Oops. My bad. You know her short self sneaks up on people anyway."

I looked around, trying to find a good parking spot. Wal Mart is always packed. It doesn't matter what time of day or night it is either.

"I tried to call you last night though. Why didn't you answer or return my calls?" Lelanie asked.

Ugh, She would bring up last night, wouldn't she? I would have loved to answer her and talk all night, but that would have been hard to do while crying in a pillow while being man handled.

"Maybe I was asleep when you called, Clariece."

"Don't call me that, Giselle. And anyway we all know that a pen dropping on a carpet would wake you up."

"I have no problem being called by my middle name. It's a cute one, almost as cute as yours Clarie. I was tired last night. You know how I sleep when I'm tired."

I waited for a car to back out of a spot then I parked my car and turned it off. I pulled my makeup bag out my big ass purse so I could apply my foundation and concealer. I was so ready to leave ho... Malcolm's house, so I didn't have time to put any makeup on.

"So why don't I hear Tiffany in the background? Where is she?"

"In the bathroom. She always has been the one that takes the longest to get ready." I heard Quianna say.

"Oh, so do y'all like the apartment?"

I wish I was there with them. Our plan was to get a place not to far from college just so we could stay together. That's why we were all working to save up for it.

Even though I couldn't go with them, I still gave them the money I saved up towards it. They didn't want to take my money but I had to give it to them.

The more I think about them and where they are, the sadder I get. I'm not doing a damn thing with my education. Now I'm gonna live up to what most people do. Most people waste all their time in high school just to be stuck either without a job, with a low paying job, or a job they hate for the rest of their life.

"It's nice. Two bedrooms. A bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Furniture. Three girls, it needs four though. You never told us why you changed your mind about college. You were the one the most hype about it and you worked really hard for it then you just up and said you weren't going. Is it because of your rich husband? Wow, that sounds weird to say. Adrianna and husband. Those two don't even sound right in the same sentence. Everyone always thought you would end up with Raheem Ridgeway though. Wh-"

"Key!" Lelanie cut her off.

I shook my head then picked out a red Chanel lipstick to put on my lips.

"I changed my mind because, I just did. College isn't for everyone and I don't think it's for me. But anyway, what do y'all have planned for the weekend?"

"Don't get too mad, but we are going to a concert tonight."

I applied my lipstick as I looked in my mirror.

"Why would I get mad? I've only asked y'all to go to concerts with me like three times. Not just any concerts, DRAKE concerts. Y'all know I love his music too. But noooo, we'd always end up going to the mall or some shit."

"We were just looking out for your health Dri Babe." Tiffany said. "If you got to see Drake in person you'd probably have a heart attack and die. We can't have that."

They started laughing hard as hell like something was funny. I'm a big fan of his and all but I don't think I'd be that star struck. I just really enjoy his music. He's one of the few artists that keeps coming out with music I like. He was good when he first came out, and he's still good now. Some of them, much like Beyonce, were better years ago. I don't think I've heard a song of Drake's that I don't like. I can't say that for most artists.

"Major fuckage. But anyways, who are y'all going to see? If it's Drake I'm gonna be highly upset."

"Dos Cadenas!" They said in unison.

"Ah hell y'all can have that."

2 Chainz is cool and all, but I think I can survive perfectly fine without seeing him perform.

I put my makeup bag back then I grabbed my hair bag. I brushed my hair back then put it in a ponytail. I braided the ponytail up then wrapped it into a low side bun.

"What are you doing Dri?"

"I'm at Wal Mart. I have to get a few things, so I will call you back later."

"Alright Dri, we love you."

I smiled. "I love you girls too. Take care."

I pressed the end button on my phone then tossed it in my purse. I grabbed my purse then got out the Rover locking it up. Malcolm really loves to waste money. Why do I need a pink Bugatti and a white Range Rover? To show off and to prove that Malcolm Hayes buys his wife expensive shit I guess.

I smoothed down my casual gray knee length dress then started walking towards the store. I was about to put on some cute high top sneakers with this dress but Malcolm insisted I wear red bottoms. By insisted, I mean he told me to.

So I wouldn't forget, I went to the pharmacy when I first walked in so I could get my grandmother's medicine. After that I grabbed I shopping cart to get a few things for her. I buy my grandmother things like groceries, medicine, whatever I think she'd need at least once every month.

Time flies by quick whenever I get in a store. As I park in front of my grandmother's house, I looked at the clock to see that it's after two.

I looked towards the house to see four males sitting on her porch. Mama Grace is loved by most of the in this neighborhood, so it's no surprise that she has these guys sitting on her porch.

I got out and opened the back door to grab a few bags.

"Need some help?", a voice said from behind me.

I turned around to see Raheem. He's really handsome. He has a flawless, smooth, chocolate complexion

with a cute smile. He used to be skinny as hell but it looks like he hits up the gym now. He doesn't look too buff though, which is good. Some guys really go overboard with the whole exercising thing.

I raised an eyebrow, almost forgetting what I was suppose to be doing.

"Dang, you ain't seen a dude in a minute and you forget him?"

"No!" I laughed. "We've known each other since Pre-K, how can I ever forget you Raheem?"

He shrugged, taking the bags from me. "Gee I don't know DriDri."

Him calling me that made me smile a little too hard.

I grabbed the rest of the bags and followed him into the house.

"Congratulations Adrianna." He looked at me a certain way.

I scratched my head and awkwardly smiled. "Uh, thanks."

My grandmother came down the stairs, interrupting the awkward silence between Raheem and I.

"Hey baby! I'm so happy to see you."

She gave me a big hug. I could see Raheem walk out the room and back outside. It's like he started acting all weird and stuff when he saw my ring. I'm sure he's still with... umm, what was her name? Oh, Bianca. Yeah I'm sure he's still with her. They got together in the eighth grade and from.what I've heard I think they're still together.

"How have you been child? I haven't seen you in two weeks and you act like you can't call me anymore."

"Oh Grammy you know it's not like that. I've just been a little busy. It's a two way street though. You can call me sometime too."

"Busy? Busy with what? A marriage you don't want?"

I let her go then took a step back. Damn it, I thought my acting skills were getting good.

"Aww Grammy, you always have been the comedian in the family. I am happily married to a good guy who treats me good and takes care of me. Who wouldn't want that?"

"No you aren't. Y-"

"Oh well look at the time. I should really get going. I have an abundance of things to do today, I just had to stop by to.see you though."

I put my hands on her shoulders then kissed her cheeks. "Love you Gramzie! I'll call you later. Take care!"

I hurried out the house and into the Rover so I could escape the awkward situation I was just in.

My phone was lit up in my purse, so I picked it up to look at it.

Ma: Can you come by the shop? I have something for you.
