It's Friday night, and tomorrow is Independence Day. Josh and I are laying in bed talking about tomorrow.

"Its going to be so fun," I said, putting my head on his chest, "watching the fireworks at Jake's are some of the best memories I have," I looked up at him. He had his perfect smile on that I loved so much. I couldnt help but kiss him. We have never really made out before. Sometimes it's because we were around other people, other times one of us has to go somewhere or has something to do. Yesterday it was because we had to go pick up Cole.

Emily is spending the night tonight, but she's staying in Cole's room. For some reason that doesnt bother me. I just know that nothing will happen...

Nothing is stopping us now. I moved slightly so I was laying on him. My hands moved under his shirt, and he didnt stop me. This was heaven, and I knew that this was meant to be. I wanted him with me, to never leave me.

I loved him.

I applied more pressure to his lips, and he mimicked my actions. But for some reason he started to pull away. Ruining my perfect moment. As he started to sit up, I put my legs around his waist, wrapping my arms around his neck. Kissing him was my only intention right now.

"Honey..." he tried to say through my lips. I moved to his neck, going along his jaw, to his ear.

"Hmmm?" I murmered, unwilling to remove my lips from his skin. He put his hands on my waist, pushing me back off of him. "Hey!" I said puffing my lower lip out. He chuckled.

"Dont think I didnt want to stop-," but before he could finish; I interupted him.

"Then why did you?" I challenged. He sighed.

"Because..." he looked up at me through his lashes, my heart stopped, "I want to show you something first," he grinned and got up. I looked at him confused, but he just grinned and walked over to my window. He opened it, then he turned around put his shoes on.

"What are you doing?" I whispered, almost mad that he let me get all excited and then just get up and leave.

"Just put some shoes on," he smiled wider and threw me a pair of sneakers. I looked at him suspiciously before putting the sneakers on. What he did next surprised me. He jumped out my window and caught the tree branch, then he let go and landed perfectly on his feet. He chuckled at my now hung open mouth.

"How... did... you... do that?" I said astounded.

"Just do what I did," he called up. I got on my bed and stuck my head out the window, unsure.

"Come on," he said as if he were calling a dog. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"No!" I was scared. His eyebrows pulled together, and he crossed his arms. He was concentrating on something... thinking... Then a mischevious grin stretched across his face, and looked up at me.

"Baby, you know the faster you get down here, the faster we can make out again," he said, he knew that would make me go crazy. I stuck my tongue out at him, angry that his plan worked. I half considered just going out the front door, but then I remembered that Cole and Em were watching TV downstairs, and they would see me sneaking out.

"Ugh!" I leaned back against my wall. Then I took in a deep breath before jumping out the window. To my surprise I caught the branch, I looked down and I was hanging about ten feet.

"Now let go," he said from below me. I did what he said and landed on my feet, only to lose my balance and  fall on my face. I heard him laugh.

"Ow," I said into the grass.

"Haha! Now you gotta catch me!" he said, and I heard him backing up. I looked up at him, scowling. But he didnt quit smiling for one second, he was thrilled with his game.

"Oh do I now?"

"If you wanna make out, then yes," he grinned before he took off towards the street. I was instantly on my feet chasing after him. He was fast!

We ran almost a mile before I caught up to him. Just as I was about to grab his arm, he turned and ran into the grass, across a field and straight to the intersection that we cross to get to the park. I ran up the sidewalk to the corner where I saw him turn. There were no cars on the street, but it still worried me that he might have crossed the road. As I rounded the last corner that I saw him, it was empty. I looked around, scratching my head. Where did he go? Then I remembered the hole in the fence, it was about two feet to my right. He had gone throught there! I bent down and crawled through. Once I was on my feet again, I looked for him. He was across the feild, grinning at me. He was about thirty feet away. I didnt try to get up, I just sat on my knees for a moment. Concentrating on my breathing, I could barely breath, and I was sweating like crazy! Good thing I was wearing a loose, sleeveless shirt.

I felt bad, Josh was always the athletic one. I dont think I could've ever compared to him... He just stood there, at the end of the feild. He was bent over with his hands on his knees, panting. At least I wasnt the only one taking a break. I should've known he was fast too, he had MUSCLES. When we were laying in the hammock the other day, when he had his arms around me, I would admire his six pack. In the baking sun he would glisten...

Finally I got up and started running again. As soon as he saw me move, he turned and sprinted under the bridge at the park. Twenty-five seconds later I was there. But he was gone. I walked forward and went on top of the bridge. I layed down on the cool, flat rocks. It felt good. I layed there for a few minutes before I opened my eyes. The stars were brilliant, and, instead of black, the sky was the darkest shade of blue I've ever seen. But it was still dark enough to the point were I wouldnt be able to see anything, if not for the stars. I looked for shapes, but I couldnt really find anything. When I was little, my mother used to show me the big dipper, and the little dipper. I looked harder for them... nowhere. I guess they had disappeared when my dad died. I havent seen them since that summer...

I sat up and looked around. Still no Josh. I stood up again, and started jogging towards our hill. My heart stopped when I saw him laying there, staring at the stars like me.

"It's about time," he said getting up. I smiled and reached for him, but he backed up.

"Oh please dont make me run again!" I said pleadingly. Both of us were breathing heavily, and his hair was darker. Wet. His neck glistened. I got goosebumps again. He laughed and kissed me briefly.

"You'll live," he said turning around, sprinting off into the night. I wasnt about to lose him this time, and I wasnt further than seven feet behing him. But we were just jogging, no more chasing.

"Whatever happened to making out?" I called after him.

"Just wait," he said over his shoulder. Almost five minutes later we got to some woods I've never seen before. "We're here," he said excitedly, "are you sweating?" he asked lifting up his shirt. I raised an eyebrow. He chuckled and grabbed my hand.

"Your not going to kill me here are you?" I said sarcastically.

"I dont plan on it!" he laughed and we started walking.  I didnt really look where I was going... I was focused on him. He had his shirt off again. Why? Well I dont really care at the moment...

Suddenly we walked through a big bush, and we were in a clearing. A long, wide river was going through it. And it was completely surrounded by thick woods and trees. Moonlight shined on the water, glistening, and shimmering at a thousand different angles. It was lighter than it was at the park, brighter. It was beautiful. Suddenly he turned around and lifted off my shirt too. He was kissing me again. But not for long.

He turned and ran downhill towards the water. I was right behing him. This surprised me, but once we were down at the edge of the water, he started unbuckling his pants.

"What are you doing?" I asked, no expression in my voice. A million possible answers in my head.

"Going swimming," he said grinning, "you coming or what?" he asked as he took them off. He left his boxers on.

"Pantsless?" I asked. He turned to me.

"Would it make you more comfortable if I kept them on?" he asked, almost making me speechless. I gulped.

"No..." I managed to say.

"Good," he chuckled, then he jumped in the water, splashing me. Getting me completely soaked was funny to him, and he threw more water at me and laughed. I laughed too and -in my boxers- jumped in the water after him.

I understood now why he asked why I was sweating. He was trying to get me hot so I would want to get in the water with him. To my surprise the water was deeper than I'd imagined, and it was really cold. We swam for about an hour, laughing and splashing eachother.

He floated on his back, and the water rolled off his stomach. If I didnt look away now, I was going to get way too excited... I turned and swam back to shallower waters. As soon as I got to shore, I climbed up and layed down, making the grass wet. Not even ten seconds later, Josh was next to me. I was too tired to open my eyes. It was then that I remembered that he said I could kiss him again. It was amazing that I'd forgotten. But before I could move, he was already kissing me.

His lips had more force and he seemed more into it this time. I kissed back. He rolled over, pulling me on top of him. But I didnt stop kissing him for one second. I was in love with him, and I never wanted to let him go. Our lips moved together perfectly, like we were meant for eachother. We were still soaking wet, and I could feel his heart beating on my chest. He moved his lips to my neck, and the only thing I could hear was our heavy breathing. I let go, and completely went limp in his arms. I needed to tell him. I needed to tell him that I loved him, I needed to know if he loved me to. But as I opened my mouth, Josh did something that astounded me.

"I love you Dylan," he said, pulling me back and looking me in the eyes. I really couldnt think of anything to say other than to just tell him the truth.

"I love you too, Josh," I whispered. And it was the truth. I had been since the minute I met him, I was just now telling him that. And as I said it, it somehow became official.

"Really?" He whispered back.

"Yes... I was just about to tell you when,-" but he interupted me. Crushing his lips against mine, rolling over me, he plunged his tongue into my mouth. I kissed him back. Holding him to me as tight as I could. How did he know...? Was it a coinsidence...? So many questions popped up in my head, but I forgot them a second later. All I knew now was that I was in love with Josh, and he was in love with me.
