"Knock knock," Steve knocked on Clint's door.
"Go away!" Clint screamed through the door.
"Clint, it's me, remember Mr. Captain America," Steve said.
"Leave!"
"Maybe he needs a mother figure to talk to him," Natasha offered.
Natasha opened the door, leaving Steve in the dust.
"Leave me alone!" Clint was crying hysterically.
Natasha held the child closely and started whispering something to him.
"Are Mommy and Daddy really dead?" Clint asked.
"They're in Heaven, dancing with the angels," Natasha held Clint tightly.
"What about Barney?"
"He's still alive."
"I want Barney."
"I know. How about we have Wanda and Vision watch you, and we find Barney."
"Promise?" Clint held up his small pinky.
"Promise." Natasha did the same.
They hooked pinkies, and Clint soon fell asleep in her arms.
Steve walked in and saw Natasha rocking the poor boy to sleep.
"Well?" Steve asked.
"We have to find Barney Barton," Natasha replied.
