I silently read a book in the book store I currently work at. I heard the bell ring meaning someone came in. I look up two men. One stands out to me though. He has a brown beard along with some brown hair. "Hey Miss" he says smiling. "Hi Sir! Do you need any help" I ask him smiling widely.
"Um actually.." he says scratching the back of his neck. I motioned him to carry on. "Can I have your number?" He asked. I looked at him utterly confused. "Sir I don't know you at all" I say. Then I hear a snicker from his friend. Then his friend whispers in his ear. "I j-just really need it" he say madly blushing. "Are you playing with me, is this some game. If it is it's not funny at all" I say getting mad. "You know what just get out" I say
He sighs in frustration then walks out along with his s friend.
*4 days later*
I stand here putting some books where they belong and thinking about what happened 4 days ago. Why? He was pretty decent looking, but he had to be a douche(idk). I'm suddenly out of my thoughts by someone tapping on my shoulder. "Hey sir do you need any he-" I stopped and realized who it was. "What do you want?" I asked already getting impatient with him. "Listen I wanted to make up for that incident can I take you out to eat when you get off today. By the way I'm Luke" I says then takes a breath.
I think about it for a minute. Hey, it's free food. "I might just have to take you up on that Luke. I get of in 30 minutes." I say. "I can wait" he says taking a seat in the chair.
