Zayn walked into the coffee shop that he's been calling his second home for the past five years of his life. The bell that he's oh so familiar with chimed as he entered, causing the cashier to look up. When she made eye contact with Zayn, she smiled at him, and waved. Zayn waved back shyly, and walked up to the woman behind the counter.

"Hiya Zayn!" She greeted, looking at the shy guy she's gotten to know over the years. Zayn and his friends were a frequent customer at the shop, so over time she've gotten to know them.

"Hey, Sheila," he responded to the middle aged woman, giving her a shy smile. Even though they've known each other for a while, he still acted like they've not known each other for so long. It was just the way he is.

"Regular?" She asked. Zayn face brightened and he nodded vigorously, causing Sheila to smile at his adorable action.  "Coming right up! Louis and Kendall are at y'all usual spot," Sheila said in her thick country accent, going to prepare Zayn's cup. Zayn nodded his head and pulled out his wallet, ready to pay the usual price for the cup of coffee once Sheila finished preparing it. When she did finish, she went back to the register and handed Zayn the coffee.

Zayn smiled before saying, "Thank you," pushing the money her way. Sheila eyebrows furrowed, and she shook her head, pushing the money towards him again. Zayn smile faltered, and he adorably tilt his head to the side, confused. "Why not?" He asked.

Sheila couldn't help the smile that reached her face. "It's on the house," she winked.

Zayn shook his head and pushed the money towards her way again. "I-I can't Sheila-"

She cut him off by raising a hand and shaking her head. "Take it as a going away gift," she says. Zayn bit his lip. He wanted to pay her because  she deserves it. Even though she works in a coffee shop for a living, she was still pretty excellent at it.

Zayn was about to retaliate until Sheila cut him off. "Zayn," she said in a warning manner. "Take the coffee. It's fine, I swear." Zayn felt bad. He didn't want to make her mad. He finally gave in and put his money back in his wallet, and took the coffee. Once he did, Sheila smiled at him. "Good boy," she cooed, reaching her hand out and  ruffling the younger guy hair. Zayn groaned and slapped her hand away, causing her to laugh. "I'm gonna miss seeing you daily, kid," she said softly.

Zayn looked at her and bit his lip again. He was going to miss her too. Sheila was one of the most sweetest ladies you'll ever meet, and he was going to miss seeing that sweet lady that he seen almost every time he'd enter the coffee shop.

"I'll miss you too," Zayn replied softly. Sheila couldn't help the all of a sudden feeling to hug Zayn, so she did exactly that. She went around the counter and embraced the smaller lad in her arms. Luckily nobody was behind them to complain, which was odd seeing that it was a Friday morning. Zayn wrapped his arms around her and sighed. When she pulled back, he was surprised to see the lady almost in tears.

She forced out a laugh and wiped at her eyes. "I'm being an over emotional lady right now. I wasn't even this sad when my family horse died," she said sniffling. Zayn couldn't help the laugh that escaped his mouth. She smiled at him, glad to get the reaction out of him. "Go, go to your friends. I'm pretty sure they're over there waiting for you. They'll probably be ten times as worse as I am." Zayn nodded his head, knowing what she said was going to be true, which put a damper on his mood. Even though he wasn't going to be moving far, he was going from seeing them almost every day to seeing them every once and a while. The three were in store for an emotional breakdown.

Zayn went towards the table that his two best friends and him sits every time they come to the coffee shop. They sat there so much that their names literally were carved into the table, curtesy of Kendall. While he was approaching the table, he noticed his best friends were both on their phones, their cups and a plate beside them. Zayn couldn't help but to roll his eyes at the two.

Once Louis heard footsteps approaching, he looked up to see that it was Zayn. He smiled and put his phone on the table. "Zanny!" He yelled in his thick english accent, causing Kendall to snap her head up. It also caused a few annoyed customers to turn their heads towards them and glare. Zayn, embarrassed, looked down, his cheeks bright red.

Once Louis saw that Zayn was looking down, he looked around and he saw the glare of some, causing him to get a tad irritated, which was very easy. "Oi! Buzz off you nosy cunts. A guy can't be happy to see his best mate, can he?" He snapped, asking the question rhetorically. If possible, Zayn cheeks got more red, more from the attention than humiliation. Most people were surprised by his outburst and turned around immediately, and some were glaring at him, then turned around. Louis huffed, took a deep breath, and then looked at Zayn with a smile. "Hello, Zanny!" He said again, quieter than the last time.

Zayn wanted to groan at Louis for calling him that ridiculous nickname, but because of his shyness and fear of Louis getting upset with him, he didn't.

Luckily, Kendall spoke up for him. "C'mon Louis! You see the guy obviously doesn't like you calling the nickname," she said. Zayn thanked her in his mind. After four years of friendship, she still stood up for him when he didn't have the balls to say something himself.

Louis pouted, patted the spot next to him, indicating Zayn should sit. Zayn hesitantly sat next to Louis, curious on what he was about that say next. "You can just tell me y'know? I won't bite your ass if you want me to stop calling you that," he said sincerely, making Zayn feel a bit guilty. He knew that he could just ask, but he was always scared. Louis then shrugged his shoulders. "Well, don't mean I'll stop calling you it. I'm that type of friend," Louis emphasized, smirking at the end.

Kendall rolled her eyes and reached over to punch Louis in the shoulder. Once she did he hissed, and rubbed the spot she hit him at. Zayn felt bad for laughing at Louis pain. "Stop calling him that you douche bag!" She said, trying not to laugh at Louis facial expression.

"Alright alright chill!" He responded, still rubbing the spot. Zayn shook his head at the two, and took a sip of his coffee. This was how it was all the time they hung out. The three, well, actually two since Zayn never really participated in the clowning around, just watching the two with admiration, wishing that he could clown with them. Louis and Kendall of course, tried to get him to clown with them, but Zayn was too scared to do that in public, fearing that people would get upset with them him specifically, so he didn't. Behind closed doors though he was nothing but a kid at heart. He of course worried that they would get irritated of him, but he was using the little hope that he had that they wouldn't.

"Zayn?" Kendall asked, snapping him out of his thoughts. He felt his cheeks burn, and he mumbled a soft sorry. Kendall rolled her eyes. "Stop apologizing god dammit, you were just spacing out," she said. Zayn bit his lip, trying his best not to say sorry again.

They all knew about why Zayn was the way he was, and they tried to break his tough shell that he had built over time. They wanted to let Zayn know that they wouldn't ever treat him like he used to be treated, but Zayn had a hard time believing that. Zayn wanted to believe that, but the last something he believed he had something real he gotten himself embarrassed in front of a crowd of people.

"Zayn? Helloo? Dude, he's literally in space," Louis says, waving his hand in front of Zayn's face. Zayn flinched and jumped back, hitting the back of the seat and wincing. "Holy shit dude, are you okay? I didn't mean to but you were kinda out," Louis said concerned.

Zayn reached out and rubbed the back of his head, sighing softly. "It's okay. It's my fault for zoning out. Sorry," Zayn mumbled. He knew that he had a tendency of zoning out, but he couldn't help it. He rarely participated in conversations, so he usually drowned himself in his thoughts which could be very, very, depressing.

"I now ban you from saying sorry!" Louis declared, slamming his hand on the table, causing Zayn to jump a little. Some people turned around to glare at Louis, and he was about to bite back at those rude people until Kendall sent him a stern look and Zayn put his hand on top of Louis. Louis huffed his cheeks and slumped down, picking up his coffee and sipping it.

The three of them sat around for a while, talking about random things. Zayn listened most of the time, but occasionally threw in his two cents. They were all dreading the main topic, which was Zayn moving. But once they fell into an awkward silence, there was no choice but to bring it up.

"I can't believe you're moving man," Louis said softly, looking down at the table. Louis was probably the most saddest about Zayn's departure. Even though he wasn't going far, Louis wanted him in arms reach. Zayn, even though he didn't talk much due to his insecurities, was his best friend. He was always there to listen, more so than Kendall, and offered him advice too. It's going to be different communicating through phones and computer screens.

Zayn bit his lip, trying to ignore the stinging in his eyes. This was the day Zayn dreaded. He was finally going to be on his own. Zayn didn't want to move, but he had to. It was the only way he could pursue his dreams. If it was something that he've lived by since he was young, never hold back. If you want to go for something, then go for it. You might feel a little bit sad at the beginning, but at the end it's worth it.

"I know," Kendall started softly. "It's going to be weird not seeing you every day."

Zayn tried to lighten the mood a little. "I-I'm not moving far. I'm only going to be forty five minutes away. I-I'll try my best to visit every weekend," he said. Kendall rolled her eyes, but couldn't help the swell in her heart one she heard what he said

"But it's going to be different," Louis whined, wrapping his arms tightly around Zayn. Zayn let out a forced groan. "Don't leave me Zaynnn. What am I going to do without you here? I can only stand Kendall for a limited amount of time!" Zayn bit back a laugh, while Kendall rolled her eyes.

"Let the guy go Louis," Kendall said, but she would be lying if she said she didn't want to do the same. She knew Zayn didn't know how much he actually meant to them, and she wanted him to stay just for she can show him.

Louis hesitantly let Zayn go, and he pouted. Zayn couldn't help the urge to flick Louis lip, so he did it. Louis would be lying if he said that it didn't catch him off guard, because this was probably the most that Zayn has ever touched him in public after knowing the guy for four years, but he wasn't complaining. At least he's interacting with him.

Louis feigned hurt. "You're an asshole," he mumbled, crossing his arms childishly. Zayn rolled his eyes and giggled at his best friend. He was going to miss the heck out of him, so he knew he was going to try his best to visit during the weekends.

"Have you finished packing your things?" Kendall asking, taking a sip of her coffee that was now warm.

Zayn shook his head. "I-I uh, still having a few things to pack," Zayn mumbled embarrassed, feeling his cheeks burn. He told his friends that he was going to finish packing yesterday, but sleep took him before he even had a chance to. He would've finished packing this morning, but he woke up late, and by the time he was finished getting dressed it was time for him to meet up with his friends.

Louis stood up abruptly, taking the other two by surprise. "What are you waiting for?" He asked, grabbing his coffee cup. "Let's go! You're leaving soon, so let's go finish."

Zayn wanted to disagree, to say that he'd finish it on his own, but he didn't have the balls to. He also knew that the other two would insist, so it would've been no bother anyway. Zayn bit his lip and nodded his head, then stood up, grabbing his coffee that wasn't even half way finished.

After Kendall stood up, they all walked towards the entrance of the coffee shop. Zayn swore he heard somebody say finally on his way out, which caused him to look down in embarrassment and bit his lip. They exited the shop and walked towards Zayn apartment. Neither of them drove vehicles since they all lived within a few minutes of the coffee shop.

It didn't take them that long to arrive at Zayn's apartment. They entered the building and went up the stairs to the apartment he's been staying in since his sophomore year of college. Zayn got his keys out of his pocket and unlocked it. Once he did and opened the door, he couldn't help but to feel a bit embarrassed. He thought that the place was a mess. There were boxes every where, trash littering the floor, and things that he meant to throw away. He suddenly felt relieved that his friends were here. There was no way he would've finished packing and cleaned today if he was doing this by myself.

"I-it's a mess in here," he said more to himself, but they heard it anyways and chuckled.

"It sure is, but luckily for you you have your fairy god parents here to help!" Louis exclaimed, jumping up and down. Kendall rolled her eyes while Zayn laughed softly at him.

"You're not a fairy god parent if you're just going to make a bigger mess, dufus," Zayn said, shaking his head. He couldn't help but to laugh once he saw Louis gawking at him.

"You're so mean to me Zanny boy!" Louis fussed. Zayn didn't know rather to groan at him for calling him that name, or laugh at him, so he just shook his head.

"I just have to pack my bedroom and my art room," Zayn said, making his way towards the back which consisted of the two. "Kendall can you clean up while Louis and I pack? I don't trust him when he's cleaning, he'll make a bigger mess." Kendall laughed while Louis pouted. This was Zayn when he wasn't in public and he felt more relaxed around his friends. That hint of nervousness was still there, but he allowed himself to say some things that he knew his friends would take as a joke.

Kendall nodded her head. "Yeah I'll clean up. Once I finish I'll come and help, yeah?" She asked. Zayn nodded his head, then continued his journey towards the backroom, Louis following closely behind him. They started packing Zayn's room first, which took about two hours seeing that they had to dissemble some of the furniture. Towards them finishing, Kendall came in and help, speeding up the process. After they finished that, they went to his art room. Zayn packed all of his paintings in one big box, then he put his essentials in another. The two others were moving furniture out of the room and placing them in the living room for when the moving truck arrived they'd already have it ready.

It took about an hour and a half for them to completely finish and clean the art room. they started moving the boxes from the two rooms into the living room, which was crowded from all of the boxes and furniture. After finishing that, Louis ran to the store to get them things to snack on. He came back fifteen minutes later with bags of chips and drinks. They sat on the floor and ate, making casual conversation here and there.

When they finished eating it was nearly three, which was the time the moving truck was supposed to arrive. They started taking bags of trash to the garbage disposal, throwing away all of the stuff they weren't necessary. By the time they finished, the moving truck had arrived. Louis talked to the guys, seeing that Zayn was not going to do it, and the two left in the truck one of them brought behind the moving truck.

The three first started moving the furniture, which took them a while because most of it was heavy as hell. They managed though, knocking it out before five. After that they parked all of the boxes, which luckily didn't take them that long. They ended up running out of room in the truck, so Louis had to run down to his place to get his truck. He came back twenty minutes after leaving, so the three continued on packing.

Once they were finished, they closed the truck, exhausted from all of the moving they've done the day. They weren't finished though, because Zayn wanted to leave town tonight for he could start unpacking and settle in. Zayn was very grateful now for his friends, because if it weren't for them Zayn would be way behind schedule, and he would probably have to come back to town again, which he didn't want to do.

They took an hour break before deciding to leave. Before they left, Zayn had to stop by the front office to return his keys and all the papers that were for the place. Once he did that he went outside with his bag around his neck. He decided to let Louis drive the moving truck, because he really didn't feel comfortable doing it, so him and Kendall rode in Louis's truck, Zayn driving.

Once he got in the truck was already started, and Kendall was already buckled up with her earbuds in. Zayn strapped on his seat belt and sighed, putting the truck in gear. He then drove off, on his way to start his journey of what he want to become.

And thus is the start of Pursuing Mr. Bieber!

I know this chapter is sort of boring (okay completely boring,) but a story gotta start off somewhere.

Justin probably not gonna pop up until the third or fourth chapter, seeing that Zayn needs to start settling in his new home and stuff.

This chapter name lame asf. Damn.

Hopefully this story appeals to some of you guys, I wouldn't want to write a story that would be boring as freak, so let me know if it appeals and if there is something I should improve on.

I'm lowkey surprised this turned out the length it did. I thought it would have been a shorter chapter seeing as much didn't even happen.

This was supposed to be out yesterday, but I was busy with family things. Sorry for any mistakes, I tried my best to scan for them but sometimes I overlook things.

Make sure to vote, comments, and hit that follow if you guys want to see more of my work in the future! All of these helps keep me motivated.

Until next time. ❤️
