*End of the day*
Annabeth POV
I was leaving Ms. Sebi's classroom after a great day.
"Walk home together?" Piper asked. Piper lives on my street so we walk home together.
I realized something as we were walking. "Oh, Piper is it okay if we stop by to pick up my brothers from school? Sorry I forgot to ask you before we started walking."
"Yeah that's fine. The one right down the street right?"
"Yeah." She nodds. We have small talk about little things that arent even important in life. We continue to walk for about 1 minute later, and we reach my brothers school. I walk closer to the front gates as I spot them running to me at me.
"Annabeth!" My brothers Bobby and Matthew bring me into a really tight hug.
"Hey guys! You guys remember Piper right? She is walking with us home today. You guys okay with that?"
"Oh, hi Piper. Sure she can walk with us Annabeth." Bobby says smiling at Piper.
"Hey guys." Piper says with a smile. Both the boys smile back too. "Let's go." Piper says looking at me. I nodd as we start walking home.
"How was school guys?" I ask.
"Uhhh, well there is a new girl that is really pretty. She is really smart too. And really nice." Matthew says.
"Hey! Back off Silena, she is mine!" Bobby realized what he had said and blushed.
"Woah. It's only the first day guys, get to know her. But no dating. Even if she is exactly how you have explained her, I won't approve." I said as we get near our neighborhood.
"But-"
"No 'Buts'!" I cut them off. They try and protest but give up.
"Okay." The boys said with a sad sigh. We continue to walk as we reach my house.
"Bye Piper." The boys say as the run into the house. Piper waves.
"Hey, what time do you want to meet up to walk to school tomorrow?" Piper asked.
"Whatever time, it doesn't matter. You can just knock on my door and I will probably be ready by then." I say as I smile and she nodds.
"I will just be here by 7:40 okay?"
"Yeah sure, that will give us enough time to talk with friends and get ready for 1st and 2nd period." I smile.
"Sounds good to me," Piper says "see you tomorrow then." We give each other a hug.
"Bye."
"Bye." With that I walk into my house and get greeted my Helen.
"Hi Annabeth. How was your day?" She says looking up from a magazine on the couch.
"It was okay. We were just talking about the expectations for the year meanwhile we did laps for my P.E. class. Nothing special." I say with a smile.
"Good to hear. Any homework? If so do it in your room, thank you." Helen said looking back at her magazine.
I walk upstairs and check to see if my dad is home. I walk into my parents room to see if he is in there and luckily he is, just sleeping. I was really hoping he was awake, instead I just went into my room and sat down to relax and think about what happened today.
So, people think I'm dating Percy now. But it was just a few glances and the teacher took it the wrong way! I mean it's nothing much, only some people know it's not true. Other then that, Luke seems to hate us now. I can see why. He thinks I'm cheating on him behind his back. But i would never do that. Even if it meant to break up with him, I wouldn't.
I get my phone out of my back pocket and go on to my contacts. At that exact moment my phone vibrates. It was a message, from Luke. I see what he said, I roll my eyes.
It read, "So you are cheating on me now?" I mentally roll my eyes.
"Okay listen. I don't want to talk about this on the phone. Can we meet up and talk about this please?" I quickly typed up.
"Oh, is it okay with Percy?" That son of a bitch.
"Just can we please meet up? At the park or something? Please." At this point I wasn't even asking I was more like telling him.
"Fine. Meet at the park, but by the skate park. That fine?" I didn't really care where, I just wanted to get it over with.
"Yeah, that's fine. Be there in 5. Bye."
"Bye." I hang up right away and hop off my bed. I check to see if my dad is awake I'm his room, and he is.
"Hey dad, how was work?" I say happy to see him.
"It was fine Annabeth. Get out." Harsh much?
"Dad are you okay?" I say.
"I am fine," he said gritting his teeth, "now get out. Now." I quickly walk out not wanting another warning from my dad. I walk back into my room thinking about what is wrong with him. I'm already having a slight stressful day, so I set that aside a little bit and get my black Adidas sweater and put that on. I walk downstairs to see Helen's face a bright red.
"Everything okay?" I ask a little scared, remembering what happened with my dad.
"No Annabeth." She says not making any eye contact.
"What's the matter? You can tell me." I say hoping for a calm response. Sadly it wasn't.
"None of your business, Annabeth! Leave, or go do something!" I didn't have to be told twice. I walked out the door and started walking towards the park.
It's about a 7 minute walk so I put on my earphones and listen to "Blasphemy" by-Bring Me The Horizon. (A/N Really nice song. My cousin literally made me listen to it. Go check it out.) Next song that comes on is "Roses" by- Shawn Mendez (bae 😍). The song is ending and I walk to the park and check to see if Luke is there yet. I sit down knowing he will be here in the next 5 minutes so I listen to more music.
I hear some chatting and laughter as I look over. I don't see anybody so I turn the other way and see Jason on the floor and, Percy laughing at him? I look a bit closer and see that Jason fell of of his skateboard and Percy is now laughing at him. I laugh a bit too.
I guess Percy heard me because he looked up to see me looking at them. I blushed knowing he saw me. He smiles and waved at me to walk over to them. I look around not seeing Luke, and get up and walk over to them as Jason gets up.
"Hey Annabeth." Percy says with a smirk. I smile at him.
"Hey Percy, Jason." I said. Jason just smiled awkwardly.
"So what are you doing around here?" Percy asked, still with the smirk he had on before.
I thought for a second if I should tell him or not. I just decided to tell him.
"I'm just waiting here, for Luke. To talk about some things." I felt so awkward saying that.
"Oh. Is everything okay?" Why lie?
"No, not really. It's about what happend today..." I trail off.
"Oh... so he thinks the other way too?"
"Yeah, and I just wanted to get it over with and tell him face-to-face." There is a slight pause of awkwardness. "And you guys? Just skating?" I try and bring up another topic the push the other one down.
"Yeah, just messing around a bit waiting for Thalia and Grover." Jason said.
"Oh, Thalia Grace right?" I ask.
"Yeah, the one with spiky black hair and blue eyes, that one." Jason says.
"Isn't she related to you or something?" I say.
"Cousins. We are cousins." He says.
"Oh. Okay well while I'm waiting for the dev-" I get caught off by Percy and Jason looking behind me a little scared. I turn to look around and I see Luke.
"Waiting for the what Annabeth?"
The devil. That's what I was going to say. The devil.
Yes, I know it is not Friday but I couldn't help updating today. This chapter leads to a kind of good one next time I update.
Speaking of the next time I update, I might update tomorrow too. But it's most likely going to be posted at like 1 am or something. Or maybe during the day.
