On the way back to the institute Afina noticed how much she wanted blood and then she quickly looked away from the Mundanes and made her way back to the institute silently freaking out
When she got there she saw her sister was all dressed professionally "I see you wanted a new look?" Afina said more as a question
"Ya, do you like it?" Izzy asked looking at her sister who smiled in return
"I'll like anything you wear Izzy you are perfect trust me" Afina reassured her sister making Izzy smile "but really Izzy why the sudden change of wardrobe?"
"I just wanted a change" Izzy shrugged and Afina didn't believe her but she let it go not wanting to upset Izzy
Afina and Izzy were looking at one of the computers as Izzy was finishing up a task she was given and Afina just standing nearby when they both saw Alec walk in
"Slept at Magnus's place?" Izzy asked as Alec walked past her
"We didn't do much sleeping" Alec said
"Ohhhhh Alec!" Afina cooed and Alec rolled his eyes
"I was helping treat Luke's wounds that's all" Alec said but that didn't stop the smirk on Izzys face
"Really?" Izzy asked not believing him
"What?" Alec asked raising his arms
"Oh poor sweet Alec, I mean poor mean Alec, you poor poor thing" Afina said making Izzy chuckle
"What??" Alec asked again this time a little more annoyed
"Nothing. We believe you" Izzy said as her and Afina walked up to Alec and he looked at them
"Ok Magnus made cocktails, I'm telling you nothing else happened" Alec said quietly
"When your ready to talk about whatever you want to talk about, I'm here" Izzy said
"I'm here too! Just thought you should now" Afina said nodding her head before walking back over to Izzy
"I talk to both of you" Alec defended
"You do not" Afina laughed
"You talk to me about everything but your personal life, and you know it's kind of not fair because we talk to you about ours all the time. For example I broke up with Meliorn" Izzy said
"Wait really?" Afina asked and Izzy nodded her head
"Really, turning over a new leaf?" Alec asked sarcastically and Afina smacked his arm and Izzy scoffed
"He was a bit much apparently I need someone more shadowhunterish" Izzy explained
"Ya I realize your trying to take some of the family heat and I appreciate it but you can't change who you are" Alec said as the trio started walking up the stairs
"Really and you can?" Izzy asked
"I know who I am" Alec said and Afina held in her laughter "I'm the son about to be disowned when his father finds out Jace and Clary are still out doing god knows what"
"I think dads used to that by now it's Jace your talking about" Izzy said
"Besides I think our mother is the one you should be worried about" Afina said and Izzy nodded in agreement
"He said he'd be an hour, it's been three" Alec said going back to talking about Jace
"You don't think he and Clary are.." Izzy trailed off and Afina shook her head
"At a time like this? Not possible" Alec said before walking away
Izzy smirked before turning to Afina "he totally likes Magnus" Afina said and Izzy laughed nodding her head in agreement
"So why did it take you so long to get back last night?" Izzy asked and Afina shrugged innocently "looks like Alec isn't the only one who totally likes someone" Izzy mocked and Afina stuck her tongue out at her making Izzy laugh
"I got to go" Afina said
"Where?" Izzy asked
"I don't know, I just can't stay here when there's nothing for me to do" Afina said and Izzy nodded in understanding before she went walking out which was a terrible idea
As soon as she walked outside the smell of blood hit her and it made her sick but it wasn't the smell it was that she wanted to taste the blood.
Afina started to panic not knowing the vampire blood would have this much of an effect her.
To a normal person they would think Afina was in a rush at the fast pace she was walking but to Afina she was trying to escape something that wasn't possible to escape
She was about to continue walking when she saw Simon sitting down and she could notice how jumpy he was from where she stood
She watched a waitress walk up to his table but Then left looking weirded out and Afina walked up to the table and sat down making Simon jump
"I'm sorry I'm sorry" Afina said rubbing her hands on her jeans looking around nervously
"Are you ok?" Simon asked
"I should be asking you that" she said as he took a bit of his bagel and wrote something down on a napkin then he took a drink of his coffee and Afina noticed the frightened look on his face "Simon what's wrong?"
"Not again" Simon said freaking out and Afina looked at his bagel suddenly interested why Simon liked it so much
She took a bit and understood why it was so good, she kept taking bits until it was gone and it was then she realized it was garlic and Simon looked at her "what's happening to us?" Afina asked on the verge of tears
"I- I don't know" Simon said as they both tried not freak out but Afina couldn't help but look around at all the mundanes as she could hear there blood pumping from where she sat
"Simon, I was, Camille she forced me to drink her blood" Afina struggled to say and Simon looked at her wide eyed
"Should that even affect you? Your a shadowhunter!" Simon said
"I'm mostly mundane, I'm your sister remember, I don't know how I'm a mundane and a shadowhunter. Jace said it's rare but it happens" Afina explained
"So we are going through the same thing?" Simon asked and Afina nodded before the sound of blood came to be to much
"I can't do this" Afina stood up abruptly Simon following her moves and followed her as she started walking away
"Afina!" Simon called making Afina turn around "look I don't know what's happening but we are in it together, let me call Clary maybe she can help"
Afina didn't argue even though she knew Clary couldn't help she had no idea what was happening
Afina stood by her brother while he was on the phone and she tried not to freak out by the sound of the blood
"Ya but this time it's different! There's something-" Simon cut himself off when the line went dead "oh my god. Come on" Simon grabbed Afina's wrist dragging her to his destination

Simon opened his front door still holding Afina's hand and getting her past his mom without her noticing Afina then Simon went up to his room with Afina
Afina sat on his bed hands shaking slightly as Simon was looking for information on his computer
There was a knock on the door making Simon turn off his computer and Afina stood up quickly not knowing what to do so she quickly Glamoured herself from the incoming person
The door opened and simons mom stood at the entrance and Afina looked at her not being able to wrap around her head that she was seeing her real mother for the first time
"Simon, can we have a talk?" There mother asked
"We?" Simon asked confused
"You me and your sister" at this Afina looked to the door quickly as Simons other sister entered his room
"Do I have a choice?" Simon asked
"Well I already left the office early soo no" his mom said and Simon gave up running his fingers through his hair
"Ok well I stayed out last night with Maureen, I should've called it slipped my mind. So what're you going to do? Ground me?" Simon asked
"Maureen called us this morning and she was very upset" his mom said calmly and Afina moved to stand behind Simon
"Actually Maureen called me and she said that you were spazzing out like more then normal" his sister said
"She said, did what?" Simon asked struggling to find the right words
"Well I tried to say that's just how you are with girls but she was very upset so I told mom" his sister motioned to there mom and Simon looked at her like she was crazy
"You did what?" Simon was about to continue when his mother cut him off
"Simon, Maureen thinks that you might be on drugs" his mother said and both his mother and sister shared a glance
Simon couldn't seem to find the words that he wanted to say to them and before he could his mom started talking again "listen if I thought it was just marijuana I wouldn't be so worried but honey you look like your dying"
"Will dying get me out of this conversation?" Simon asked and Afina put a hand on his shoulder not scaring him as he knew she was behind him
"I Know I'm not usually sentimental but we're here for you" his sister said trying to sound more comforting
"It's alright you can tell us whatever it is" his mother said and Simon ran his hands through his hair
"Ok, ok um I think I have a disease" Simon said not looking at his mom or sister
"A disease?" His mom asked
"Like a bad one" Simon said this time looking at his mom
"Do you have an STD?" His mom asked and his sister stepped in
"Ok mom let's let him finish talking" she said and hand on her moms arm
"Look Simon it's not as bad as you think, these things happen, when I was in law school I experimented" his mom went on starting an argument between her and Simons sister with Simon trying to get there attention and Afina standing behind Simon still
Until it eventually became to much and Simon turned his chair slamming his fists into his desk breaking it in half scaring his mom and sister. Afina was even scared by the sudden action
Simon sat there shocked by his own actions and his mother and sister left him to cool down
Afina sat on his bed again looking at his desk and at Simon who started pacing his room for a while until he decided to call Clary
Simon started freaking out when Clary wasn't answering and his emotions were mixed with anger and sadness as he looked in the mirror
Before he looked at his bed quickly startling Afina and she asked what was wrong but it was like she wasn't even there in his eyes
"Shut up" he stammered confusing Afina "shut up!" He yelled throwing his phone barely missing Afina
Simon looked back at the mirror messing with his teeth before he started seeing things again, he eventually punched his mirror shattering it before he fell to his knees freaking out
Afina ran over to him kneeling in front of him "Simon listen to me you're going to be ok, ok?" She tried to reassure him but it wasn't working as he jumped out his window running faster then Afina thought he could
She jumped out the window as well going to the only place she knew he would go, the hotel.

Afina was almost to the hotel knowing what would happen if Simon went in she ran as fast as she could "Simon!" She yelled
She stopped outside the door which the lock was already broken and she ran in not caring if she was caught
She ran into the main room to see Raphael looking down at a body, Simons body "oh my god" she gasped looking at Raphael with teary eyes "what happened?"
"I think he came looking for answers, I pretty sure Camille got to him" Raphael answered "I'm gonna take him to your institute"
"I was to late" she cried and Raphael hugged her
"Come on we'll discuss this with the rest" with that Raphael picked up Simons body and they started back to the institute

So ranting right now, I don't even know if shadowhunters can become vampires that's why I said she's mostly human
And Afina still has the vampire blood in her system it hasn't worn off yet maybe something will happen?
