Chapter 21 - My Not So Happy Birthday!
Alyssa's POV
Haist lapit na birthday ko pero bakit hindi ako na-eexcite? Bakit ganito yung nararamdaman ko feeling ko may mangyayaring hindi ko magugustuhan eh. Haist talaga yaan na nga. Enjoy muna yung isang araw bago ang birthday ko haha.
Yup 29 na ngayon yehey! :DD 30 bukas birthday ko na! Pero talaga promise hindi ako masaya kinakabahan ako or whatever. Siguro kasi magbibirthday ako at si James hindi pa ako kinakausap haggang ngayon. :(
Ewan ko dun nagtampo ata sa akin. Pero hindi ko din naman namamalayan na hindi ko na siya nakakausap eh kasi si Kuya Liit lagi kong kausap hindi naman lagi pero gabi gabi nalang magkausap kami buti nga hindi pa kami nawawalan ng pag-uusapan eh.
So grateful sa kanya kasi alam niyo na he helped me with my homework sa math alam niyo naman na I super duper hate Math.
Ma-chat nga si Kuya Liit pati na din si James invited pa naman si James at Harry bukas kaso hindi ko sila macontact tsk. Iniiwasan ata ako eh galit nga pati si Harry dinamay. Anyway iba na plano for tomorrow's birthday celebration ko. Kain lang sa Mcdo tas ayun uwian na haha. Hindi 3 pa uwi namin nun kaya have a normal day lang ang drama bukas.
Ngayon my highschool friends are all here celebrating my birthday mga excited pero go lang nagulat nga kami ni Yaya Joy yung mga nagsidatingan ang mga to. Kaya ayun nagpahanda na ako ng foods.
Kaso medyo nabobored ako siguro nga nagbago na ako since nag-collge ako kasi naman eh hindi na ako nag-eenjoy sa mga party. So I went to the study sa first floor at nag-open ng Facebook. Hay si James at Harry hindi online tas si Gabriel wala din.
Nakalimutan na ba nila na birthday ko? Haist. Si Kuya Liit online siya na nga lang muna. Alam niyo ba hindi pa ako nakaka-alis sa Step 1 ko hindi ko kasi alam pano yung Step 2! Ano yun? Secret! :D

Urgh sakit ng ulo ko. Maaga naman akong natulog ah? Aist talaga masakit siya. Oh right birthday ko na pala ngayon. Tinignan ko yung cellphone ko. Dami ng nagbati sa akin. Sikat?

Kay Kuya Liit siya unang bumati sa akin eh. 12:04 niya ako binati hehe. Gising pa pala siya nun. Sympre reply agad ako.

Sa lahat ng nagtext siya lang yung nireplyan ko haha mamaya na yung iba haha. Naligo na ako at then nag-ayos na ako ng gamit may pasok kaya ngayon.
"Happy Birthday." bati ni Yaya Joy nung nansa may stairs na ako haha. May dala siyang isang cupcake. "Blow your candles na anak." she said.
I blew the candles and hugged her. "Thank you Yaya."

Nah it will remain a secret after all masama daw sabihin yung wish baka hindi magkatotoo.

Kumain na ako then went to school everyone greeted me well not everyone really. So after our Math subject we went to Mcdo to celebrate my low profile birthday. It was just casual we ate and laughed at the same time.
Uwian na. Nothing really happened sa birthday ko.

"Hello daddy!" I said.
("Hello my beautiful Aly bear. Happy birthday how was your day?") ~daddy on the line.
"It's fine but because you called me it's more than fine." I miss my daddy so much haven't seen him for so long mom wouldn't let me go to him even just for a visit and daddy can't visit me too. My mom has a full custody so that's why.
("I'm glad to hear that. Anyway did you visit him already?")
"Not yet but I'll be going there now."
("Oh take care my Aly bear. Remember that no matter how far I am from you, I will always love you and I just hope that you can be happy.")
"I am happy daddy. I love you daddy. I miss you so much."
("I miss you too my sweet Aly bear. What do you want for your birthday gift?")
"You daddy, I just want to see you again in person."
("I will try talk with you mom ok? But Alyssa.")
Daddy never calls me Alyssa when it's not serious so maybe something's gonna happen I'm quite nervous.
"Why daddy?"
("Do you want to live with me here in New York?")
Daddy's voice came echoing inside my head. Do I want to? But what about my life here?
("You don't have to answer yet bear just think about it. I know your mom doesn't go home so you don't actually have anyone with you except Joy so I would want you to come and live with me. I miss you and I didn't see you grow up so I just want to be with you. I have wasted 5 years already.")
I can hear in daddy's voice that he's already crying. He's right you know and gusto ko man sumama sa kanya I can't paano si mom? Kahit hindi niya sabihin alam ko malungkot din siya pero ano pa ba ang tamang gawin ko? Umalis na ba?
"Daddy let me think about it. Pero daddy if I say no please understand that I cannot leave mom alone because I have a debt to pay."
("It's not your fault Alyssa, it never was your fault. It was an accident.")

Yung nansa may cemetery na kami nakita ko na si Yaya Joy andun na siya sa may puntod.
"Daddy I'm here at kuya's tomb."
("Say hi for me ok?" )

("I love you too bear Happy birthday")
Pumunta na ako sa puntod ni Kuya ko. I sat down and faced him. "Hi kuya it's my birthday today. Won't you greet me?" I smiled. "Daddy said hi. Oh yeah Yaya Joy brought you your favorite paella." then I putted the plate of paella beside kuya's tomb. "I miss you Kuya and I love you. I'm sorry kasi hindi na ako masyadong nakakadalaw sayo. Kuya tanda mo pa pag birthday ko lagi ka yung unang bumabati sa akin tas may cake pa na binake mo I miss that kuya. Sana andito ka pa siguro kung nandito ka pa ako na yung luckiest girl in the world kasi I have the greatest kuya ever! You would always be my knight in shining armor kuya."
"You're here." a familiar voice said to me
When I looked up I saw my mom with flowers and candles. "Mom. I was just visiting Kuya Anton. Why are you here mom?"
"Visiting my son. Go home it's late."
"Yes mom."
"Manang paki tanggal tong paella." sabi ni mom kay Yaya Joy. Ouch.
"Bye mom."
After that umalis na kami naiiyak ako kasi hindi ba niya tanda yung birthday ko? Lagi naman ganito bat hindi pa ako masanay diba? Hindi naman niya talaga ako babatiin ng happy birthday eh she never did for 5 years she never greeted me happy birthday merry chirstmas never, So what's new.
For her I am just here to pay my debt to her because it was my fault I was to be blamed for everything that happened in this family I ruined my own family. It was all my fault, my fault.
Nung nakarating na kami sa bahay I run towards my room I opened my laptop and isa lang ang nansa isip ko I need someone to talk to and isang tao lang ang nansa isip ko din.........

Kuya Liit.
Siya lang ang alam kong gagaan ang pakiramdam ko ngayon hindi ko man sasabihin sa kanya yung nararamdaman ko ngayon na sobrang lungkot ko magkukunwari nalang akong masaya basta't makausap ko siya.. I don't want to be alone in my not so happy birthday.
He's the only one who could lighten up my sadness.
Kuya Liit can be my savior for today.
