The voice of the Wind carries my thoughts away,
to yesterdays and all their nostalgic glory.
Memories of hopes and dreams swell within,
making me wonder if they're the best of my story.

Old hopes tug at my soul like the ocean's tide,
while new hopes lure me away step by step.
Dusty dreams fade and decay with time,
and young dreams make me wish I'd never slept.

Tomorrow's offering is a mystery without comfort,
and yesterday's tribute but an out of reach loss.
Today is the waning existence in which I reside,
pleading within that it will pass without cost.

As dusk and dawn share the same horizon,
