Emma showed me to my room. My dresser already had new clothes I could use. I shoul have brought a few outfits. Ugh. I chose a light blue night gown to wear for bed. It was soft, but I wasn't really used to wearing dresses back in 2016. The walls were a soft shade of green.
I missed my window seat back at my uncle's house...
I stared up at the ceiling. It was hard trying to fall asleep. My eyes closed for a bit but when I opened them again, I gave up on trying to fall asleep.
I changed into a navy blue dress, with a bow in the front. It looked nice.
I laced on my boots and silently walked down the hallway.

I don't know why, but I feel much more calm outside. When I am indoors, I feel trapped. Im not saying I'm claustrophobic, but I just feel trapped.
I walked on a path into the woods, the moonlight cutting it's way through the thick trees.
The gravel crunching under every step I take.
I stopped in front of a lake enclosed by trees. There were giant rocks along the shoreline. I sat on one of the boulders, looking at my reflection at the gleaming, lily pad filled lake.
In the water, I saw some of the most amazing schools of fish swim by, cutting the water with their fins, tails bending to propel themselves around the seaweed in sync.
I looked behind me to see Enoch standing there. His light eyes and dark curly hair reflected the moonlight. We stayed like that, eyes locked, until he broke the silence.
"Do you mind if I stay here too? I can't sleep either." His thick Scottish accent lingering in my head.
I patted the space next to me and he sat.
"I'm sorry about laughing at you earlier. I didn't mean to be rude." He said, turning slightly red.
"It's alright. I've been laughed at too many times, I think I should sign up for the circus one day."
He laughed. Not a sarcastic laugh, but a real sympathetic laugh.
"I want to get to know you better, Eleanor. Can we take a walk tomorrow? Maybe 30 minutes after breakfast? It wont be that long, I promise, just a quick one?" Enoch asked.
"Only if you get to show me what your peculiarity is." I said, making a deal.
"Sure. As long as you don't run away from me." Enoch replied.
"Then it's settled." I said, getting up to go back inside.
"Good night Enoch."
"Night Eleanor."
