I was always a smiling kid.
Things first changed when I was three and my uncle fisted me.
Things kept changing.
And I felt pressured by the world to smile. To pretend to be okay.
The truth is, you don't have to pretend.
There are days where you just can't smile. You don't have to.
I don't care about social standards.
You are your own person.
It's okay to not be okay.
I couldn't smile for a long time after my incidents with sexual assault.
I cut.
I am healing.
I'm not healed.
But I have a boyfriend and he tries to make me smile.
And my job will be to help you smile as well.
I would love to make you realize that there is hope in this life.
There's Disney movies.
There's ice cream.
There's falling leaves.
There's music jams that make you want to sing.
There's kittens (or puppies)
There's humor and games.
There's baking and movies.
There is SO much to live for.
There is so much to smile for.
