Green grass...

The grass looks so green on the other side,
Especially from where you stand.

But you can't see what the grass is trying to hide,
You just focus on the rich emerald land.

Where you stand the grass is dead,
Nothing but miles of empty grey.

But is the other side better instead?
I mean the grass isn't always greener, that's what they say.

But still you take the leap, not looking back.
Enjoying the lush luxuries the other side has to give.

But you didn't realise that this grass is a charcoal black,
Not a place where anyone can live.

See this grass is painted green to mislead,
From where you once stood,
It looked so good,
But now you realise the truth, you just want to leave.
