Spencer's POV
I make my way to my kitchen and make some coffee since i'll need all the energy I can get. I probably won't be sleeping tonight, the nightmares will just terrify me again so I grab a few books and start reading. A knock on my door interrupts and I'm hoping it's not Morgan, I can't deal with him right now.
"Hotch? What are you doing here?' I ask surprised as he walks into my house.
Shutting the door, I turn to the straight face man.
"I want you to take some time off, two weeks at least" he says
"I know Morgan already told me this, I don't need to hear it again." I mumble
"Reid were just looking out for you"
"Ya well stop. I don't need you to or anybody else" I call getting angry
"Reid calm down."
"Sorry, I just, what am I supposed to do now?" I ask
"Whatever you want to do. You should go visit your mom" he reminds me and I actually like his idea.
"She would love that" I say smiling.
I miss her
"I also want you to talk to someone" he suggests
"I don't need to. I'm fine" I mention
"You need to talk to someone Reid. Think about it okay?"
"Yeah, I will"
Oh but I wont. I feel fine why does he think I need counselling.
"Reid" he calls
"Yeah" I reply
"I'm really glad you're okay" He says getting ready to leave
"Hotch" I ask before he leaves
"Yeah"
"Thank you, for everything" I say
Hotch is like the father I never had and I'm so glad he's always got my back. He walks over and pulls me into a fatherly hug showing me his rare smile. I don't know why he doesn't smile more often.
