Chapter twenty-five: true friends

"Sorry's not good enough do you know how much you scared us!?" Lincon shouts
"I am sorry" i repeat
"Sorry? Angie i agree with lincon what you did was irresponsible and if it had taken you any longer to get home there would've been a search party and not just any search party but the one that can assassinate any suspect without being questioned" kaylem states annoyed
"Yeah i know and i said i was sorry"
"Not only did you come home late, without your bike and with an injury but you came home in some other guys arms" lincon says getting angrier by the second
"Someone sounds a little jealous" i mummble
"I am not jealous i am protective" he confirms
"Im fine though" i argue
"And you forgot your bag" kaylem adds in
"You know what? I did to... maybe i should leave you two alone while i grab something to eat" i say happily as i start to walk away
"Not so fast" Lincon says before grabbing my waist and pulling me back
Why does this feel like deja vu?
"You are not going anywhere untill you say what the hell is going on?"
"Okay" i reply "what the hell is going on" i say sas dripping of my words
"Dont you sas me missy" lincon says sternly "what the hell happned today?"
"I will tell you everything whilst eating some nutella, mine got stolen" i grumble remembering they still had my almost empty nutella jar "also would one of you be kind enough to bring Artemis home?" I ask kindly
"Whos Artemis?" Kaylem asks not even caring about my nutella that was held hostage
"Is it another one of your guy friends?" Lincon groans
"No, its my bike and hes at school" i state nonchalantly
"Oh, okay" they both say insinc before lincon walked out the door to go get Artemis
"Okay spill" kaylem says taking a seat on the couch
"Okay so-" i begin as i tell him everything from the whistles i got from the moment i took my helmet off to the moment my nutella got kidnapped. At the end kaylem looked shocked to say the least
"Well they dont say your first day at school is a big one for nothing" he comments
"Your tellin me" i reply with a small huff
"Oh and im killing harley" kaylem replies with a fake smile
"No your not" i say thinking about the fact i will be the one killing him if i see him again.
"Okay Attie or whatever you called it, is in the garage safe and sound" lincon says walking in through the garage door
"Ar-te-mis not attie" i reply feeling insulted that he would think i would name such beauty... attie.
"So you gunna tell us what happened today or what?" Lincon says taking a seat across from kaylem and i on the other couch.
"Us? Kaylem already knows its just you. Kaylem will explain it all to you because im tired" i say with a yawn as i get up off the couch "night guys" i wave before making my way up the stairs
"Night angie" they say in sync
A small smile creeps apon my face thinking about how lucky i am to have those two in my life
Once im upstairs i remember Aunt mindys secret room, i also remember seeing empty books in there maybe i should write down what happened today. Kinda like a diary
Imagine reading back on it in a years time that would be pretty cool i wonder what adventurers it would hold
I walk into my wardrobe and pullout the drawer handles before hearing the robotic voice once again. I look around for a pen or pencil and to my luck i find a whole stash of them. After i have found my pens i grab an empty lined book and take a seat on the comfortable bed and start my long term memory book

"Angie time for school" i hear my name bringing me out of a deep sleep. Slowly i stretch my sore tired limbs. But as i push up with my good arm i feel a sharp pain hit my neck
"Arggg" i moan
I must of slept on my neck wrong
As i look around i notice i am still in the secret room
I must of dozed off
"Angie time for school" i hear kaylem repeat
I swear that kid is more adult then i am i think to myself as i exit my secret room.
"Coming" i call back.
I decide todays a good day to wear some blue skinny jeans, a white singlet and a bagy jumper to cover my bruised shoulder
"Hey angie do you need help?" I hear kaylem ask right outside my door
"Umm kinda my jumper is stuck" i say honestly. Kaylem opens the door to see what i can only guess to be a half human half jumper monster because thats what i felt like right now
"You look like your in need of alot of help" he chuckles "hold on a minnie it looks like your sling is caught" he says rushing over to fix the situation i seem to have gotten into
"Okay i need you to stretch out your good arm so i can slip your other arm though without any pain" he says kindly
"Your pretty smart for a 15 year old" i say but it kinds comes out muffed because of my jumper
"Whats that supposed to mean?" He says finally getting my jumper on me properly
"Nothing much its just between you and lincon hes the one with video games and your the one cooking dinner its kinda in reverse"
"Ha yeah i guess your right" he says re-doing the sling on the outside of the jumper
"Thanks"
"Your welcome. I still cant believe you wanted me to wake you up for school even with your injury" he says surprised
"What can i say? Im a fast healer" i smile
"That may be true but you're still human and humans feel pain, also dont think i didn't notice you limping back at the Botòr house" he said with his eyes raised in a thats-right-im-that-good-and-figured-it-out-so-dont-even-bother-lying-about-it face
"Me? Limp? Craaaazy talk"
"Lincon told me" he stated in a bored tone
"Its fine i barely even remembered it hurt" i say half honest, it did hurt just not to the point i would have to limp or even mention it. "I wasn't the only one injured that day" i say crossing my ... well arm the other one was already bent
"I also know that"
"Anyway i should get going, dont want to be late for school. Its only my second day after all"i smile
"Dont forget your bag this time" and on que my tummie growls
Oh thats right i didnt eat all yesterday apart from the nutella.
"Oh and i almost forgot lincon is waiting in the car for you" kaylem said getting ready to leave my room
"What? Why?"
"How else are you getting to school?" He asks like its a stupid question
"Ah walk? Run? Drive myself?"
"Very funny but dont be idiotic. You've got five minutes to get in the car or your staying home" he threatens
"Fine" i grumble rushing down the stairs skillfully and before i know it im in my own car but sadly im in the passengers seat
"Forget something?"kaylem asks appearing out of no where holding my back pack
"Thanks" i say grabbing it
"I thought you had an amazing memory" lincon commented while starting the car up
"I do, mostly under pressure or important stuff otherwise I I'm honestly just normal. Is that a crime?" I huff before waving goodbye to kaylem
We arrive at school really quickly maybe less then a 5 minute drive. And just like yesterday there were stares luckily they couldn't see me yet because the Windows are tinted "See ya after school, ill be here to pick you up. No being late" lincon says growling the last part
I open the car door and step out and turning around "okay, okay jeeze calm your farm" i say "I'll be fine dont worry" i say giving him a small smile before closing the door
Silently i look around to see all eyes on me most filled with envy and jealousy but others held a creepy smile like they wanted something so bad that they would kill to get it. Hopefully that something isn't me
"Hey girly" i hear an unfamiliar voice call out as he slings his arm around me but at the same time he hits the nerve in my neck sending a quick shot of pain though out my veins
"Get your hand off me" i say teeth clenched not from the pain but from the sudden anger
"Oh playing hard to get i like it"
"The only hard thing you'll be feeling is your face in the dirt if you dont get your hands off me" i growl
"Okay, okay jeeze calm down" he says backing up
"Thanks now please leave me alone" i say trying to calm my anger while walking off towards my locker
"Hey angie what was that back there?"i hear Eli say from behind me
"I dont like when people i dont know touch me" i say recalling memories from the masquerade ball
"Yeah i can tell" Eli says
"Hey Angelina" i hear a feminine voice say behind me
"Hey shana" Eli says telling me who it was
"Hey Eli" she replys nicely "what are you two up to"
"Nothing much" i say in a slighly calm tone
"Uh Excuse me?" I hear a high pitced voice, well i would say she spoke but her voice isn't human so she screeched out her words at a high frequency causing actual pain
"What is the freak doing here i though we told you to go kill yourself" thats when i noticed helena wasn't actually talking to me or Eli it was someone else
I turn around to see both helena and shanaya bullying a girl with long blonde wavy hair and light blue almost grey eyes
"Just leave me alone" she says her voice weak and shaky
"We told you, your too ugly to breathe the same air as us. So do us a favor and go jump of a cliff"
"Not this again" i hear lashana mumble
"This has happened before?" I ask outraged
"Everyday" Eli confirms
"Well I'm stopping it" I say storming towards the girls
"Your just a low life peice of shit that needs to learn her place in the social chain. Oh and next time you try that I will personally slit your wrists for you since your too pathetic and weak to do so yourself" Helena bitchily explains
"Excuse me? " I say walking over beside her
"Oh it's you" she said with a fake smile. She still didn't even know my name
"Angelina" I confirm
"Right ange well will should probably intro you to the lowly rats of the school that you should stay away from"
"Not another one" I hear the girl who's being bullied say under her breath
"What did you just say!? " Helena says raising her hand getting ready to hit her but before she even knows what hit her I grab a hold of her wrist
"Who the hell do you think you are!" I shout as the whole corridor erupts in 'ohhhhh's and 'owwwww's
"Me? I'm the person you don't want to mess with" she replied still holding that b$%chy smile
"Really? because I do" I said harshly "nobody has the right to tell someone to go slit their wrists or that their not good enough. You don't even know this girl. she probably has a hard enough time studying for school making sure her grades are good enough to make her parents proud then deal with your load of bull every day. You nor anyone else here has the right to bully her or anyone at this school"
To say people we're shocked was an understatement
"Come on ange your risking your chance to be an it girl. Would you really trade the popular life to stick up for this nobody? "
"Be an 'it' girl huh? How about no? " at that exact moment the whole area went silent. Nobody spoke, moved or even breathed
"Excuse me" she said not believing someone would reject her group
"I would easily choose real friends over you and your group of fake smiles, fake boobs, fake faces and fake personalities" alot of people 'ohhhhh'ed when I said she had fake boobs to he honest I don't actually know if they we're real or not and I didn't want to know
"Nobody would want to be friends with you after commiting social suiced" shanaya snarled
"Yeah you right I don't want to be friends with her, I want to be best friends with her" Eli said standing next to me
"Yay a nerd to go with the outcast" she excitedly claps
"I'll be her friend as well, if she'll have me" I heard lashanas voice say kindly
"Of course" I smile
"Shana get back here you can't leave you owe it to your si-"
Her words were cut off with a loud slap across the face
"Don't you dare use melody against me" she snaps before walking away.
"Looks like someone was to busy being popular that they didn't notice they we're hurting others or maybe you did notice and didn't care because you though everyone love you and would never leave you. Sorry Helena but welcome back to reality " I say turning to the girl behind me.
"I'm sorry for how they have treated you" I say honestly "what is your name? "
"Rachel Foster" she says eyes wide
"Rachel that's a nice name I'm Angelina" I say with a smile
" please call me Rae "
"Well Rae" I say testing it out "I'm sorry if I have made things worse for you but if they ever do anything like this again please tell me. I would really like to help even if you don't want to be friends with me" I say honestly
"Are you serious? " she asks hestaintly
"Yea? "
"You think I would reject you as a friend?" Rae asks a little louder then her quiet scared tone
"Well it is your choice to choose I can't force you to be friends with me"
"Yes I would love to be friends" she says giving me a small smile that I'm guessing she isn't used to showing
"I have to go find lashana now did you want to come or? "
"No thank you I have someone waiting plus I wouldn't want to be a burden" she says quickly walking away before i could argue
"So Helena if I hear that you have been causing trouble for her or anyone I would be running if I we're you as fast and as far as you can. same goes for you shanaya"I say looking over in her direction causing her to shuffle back a little
"Well see ya" I wave off before speed walking after lashana hoping that she wasn't crying and luckily Eli followed hot on my tail
"Sorry Eli I didn't mean for you to get dragged into that" I say, still keeping my pace
"Are you kidding!? That was amazing you totally roasted her" he said catching up
"Seroius? Your not bummed out that I dropped you social status into the ground? "
"Woman you boosted it, not that I actually care but your more popular then Helena that's why she wanted to add you to her group "
"Really? " I ask slowling down
"Hell yeah" he confirms suddenly I feel a small smile make it's way on my face.
"Hey Eli do you know where lashana would have went? " I ask looking around "since I have no clue" I admit
"Yeah I do" he smiles "and good news your going in the right direction"
