Chapter 2: What’s Next?
Gerald’s POV
Nakakapagod. It’s already 2AM ngayon lang napack-up ang taping. On my way home when Mom texted me.
From Mom:
Ge, san na kau?!
I texted back.
To Mom:
Malapit na po kami. Dito na kami sa Pasig.
She replied back.
From Mom :
Good. You take care. Oh, by the way Sarah called kanina.
Nung nabasa ko yun, kinabahan ako. May halong kaba at saya. Tumawag si Baby girl at sa bahay pa?! Bakit kaya? So I texted my mom.
To Mom:
Bakit daw po?
My mom replied.
From Mom:
Hahaha.. pinagpapaalam ka. Anniversary ata ng mommy and daddy nya. Such a sweet girl.
Natawa ako ng mabasa ko. Nagpaalam talaga si Baby Girl sa Mom ko. Hahaha. Pwede namang sa kin sabihin pero talagang nagpaalam sya kay Mom. Ang cute nya talaga.
I texted my Mom na malapit na kami para hindi na sya mag-alala. Then I pinned Baby Girl.
To Baby Girl:
Hahaha… Ikaw talaga! Ang kyut kyut!
I waited for her reply pero mukhang tulog na sya. So I decided to sleep na lang. When I woke up at around 10AM may reply na sya. So I excitedly checked my phone.
From Baby Girl:
Ano yun?
So I replied.
To Baby Girl:
Wala lang. You called daw yesterday diba?
She pinned back.
From Baby Girl:
Ah.. hahaha.. oo nga pla.. Punta ka ah, next week yun on Saturday. Pinapa-invite ka nina mommmy. Anniv nila ni Daddy! Sa bahay lang naman. Gusto mo bring someone else rin.
Talaga? Ininvite ako nina Tita Divine. Ang sweet naman nila. Ahem.. ahem,, ako na ang ininvite ni Tita! I replied to Baby Girl.
To Baby Girl:
Talaga?! Pakisabi thank you ah! Papa-block ko sched ko this Sat. Baka ikaw nag-invite sa kin? Hehehe..
Nag-reply sya.
From Baby Girl:
Well. Hahaha.. hindi no?! wag assuming Gege.. Basta punta ka! :)
It made my day. Simula pa lang ng day si Baby Girl talaga ang kausap ko.. Haaayy.. Cant wait for next week. Sana it’s the start na. Sana talaga mag-work ang efforts ko.
Sarah’s POV
It’s another busy day. 1PM dapat nasa ABS na ako for the story conference of my movie with John Lloyd. Quite excited kasi si JL and si Direk Cathy ulit and I heard kasama si Iza Calzado so sana maging ok lahat. Naku ano kaya ang story? Sana talaga maganda and parang type ko mag drama para maiba naman. Well bahala na si Lord. Earlier this morning, nag-BBM kami ni Ge. Buti naman pumayag sya. Siguro its pambawi na rin yun kasi ang dami nan yang nabigay sa’kin na kung anong anik-anik, siguro it’s a way to thank him din. Nakasalubong ko on my way to ABS ang mga reporters ng The Buzz. They greeted me and asked me questions.
“Ms. Sarah we are doing a feature about dun sa mga predictions sa mga artista this Chinese New Year can we get an interview?” they asked me.
Sabi ko, “Sure. No problem po. Ano daw po ba yung predictions daw sa akin?”.
“Ah, wait lang po, eto, sabi daw po sa inyo. It’s a very tiring year daw for you and a good year to start a relationship. Mag-ingat daw po sa health and baka daw po mabuntis kayo this year”, sabi nya.
Natawa naman ako. Medyo nagulat. So I answered them “Hahaha.. hala ka.. basta siguro I’ll take yung regarding sa health as a warning.. Para naman dun sa relationship bahala na si God dun. Kung ano pong will ni Lord, mangyayari talaga. Dun naman sa mabubuntis.. Hahaha.. Nakakaloka sino bang naghula nyan?! Hindi naman siguro wala naman akong boyfriend eh. Hahaha..”.
“Ah Ms. Sarah, follow up question po.. About po dun sa movie nyu ni JL. What is your reaction?” tanong nya.
“Syempre super excited na rin.. kasama ko ulit si Direk Cathy tapos si JL pa tapos si Ms. Iza ata so very excited. Its another learning experience for me. Sana suportahan pa rin ng mga tao” sabi ko.
“Eh about naman po dun sa sinabi ni Kean na crush nya po kayo and she wanted to know you more. Whats your reaction?” tanong nya.
Nagulat naman ako. “Wala naman po. Sinabi nya ba talaga yun, last time kaming nag work was with my album after nun wala na. Siguro looking forward to know him din at saka goodluck na lang sa career nya here sa ABS.”
“Last question na po. Reaction nyo po sa sinabi ni Gerald Anderson na very special ka daw sa kanya.” Sabi nya.
“Ah ganoon.. basta kami ni Ge, magkaibigan kami.Yun lang po. hihihi.” sagot ko. Siguro maigi na yug ganoong sagot para wala ng intriga.
Then after that they thanked me and they left na. Kakaloka naman. May ganoon talaga? Hindi na kasi ako masyado nagbabasa ng mge news. Bigla namang nag BBM si Ge.

Baby girl.. goodluck to ur story con today! Hopin for the best! Keep it up.
Sweet talaga ni Gege, pero something sinked in. Guilt. Am I being unfair to him? He seemed to be very sweet sa akin pero hindi ko naman napapramdam yung feelings ko for him. Baka pinapaasa ko lang sya..Hindi.. Siguro I am being unfair talaga. Sino nga ba naman ako, hindi naman kami diba?! Ako na nga ang nagsabi na hindi pa ako ready. Ano ba? Kinikilig naman ako kapag nagbibigay sya sa kin or kapg nag BBM kami pero feeling ko hindi pa ako ready. Ano ba? Am I ready na ba or hindi pa? Ang gulo. Haaayy..
I decided not to reply back.
Gerald’s POV
Hindi sya nag-reply. Baka busy lang. At least I get to talk to her this morning. While on my way to taping I had a chance to listen to the radio.
DJ: “Mga ka-chorva eto na ang mga nakaklokang showbiz chika for this day! Headlines! Vice Ganda nag hydrocephalus na! Bulung-bulungan na ang unkabogable host ay lumaki na ang ulo at nag-iinarte na daw? Gaano kaya katotoo ito? Well ganyan talaga kapag sumisikat tumataas din ang ere. Devaah??”
Nakakatawa naman ‘tong Dj na ‘to maka- devaaah lang parang si Baby Girl ko. Hahaha.
DJ: “Eto pa, bossing Vic and Pauleen Luna nagbakasyon sa Hongkong together?! Together talaga? Reaction naman natin mg aka-chika! Well, Love is blind talaga! Hahaha…”
Naalala ko tuloy si Pauleen, kahit papaano she became a part of my life. Sandali lang ‘yon, it ended up not so good siguro dahil pareho pa kaming bata nun. We were so young then. Pero sabi ko sa sarili ko I will not repeat the same mistake if ever maging kami ni Baby Girl. Sarah is not just a good catch pero the best catch a guy could get.
DJ: “Eto pa.. Kean Cipriano, kapamilya na! Sarah Geronimo crush daw niya? Grabee naman ‘tong si Kean sa dami ng girls sa kapamilya si Sarah geronimo talaga? Well I cant blame him, hindi man ganun ka stunning si Sarah pero maganda talaga sya in person at talented pa. San ka pa? Hindi kaladkarin at mabait pa. Dibaa?, kaya Kean go na. Pero magtanong ka muna kay Mommy divine kung papasa ka! Hahaha..”
Tama nga naman yung DJ. Hahaha,, Kean daw? Well sorry ka na lang dude hanggang tingin ka na lang. Hindi ka uubra kay Mommy Divine, este kay Tita pala. I turned off the radio and started to read the script. Ang sarap magtrabaho kapag inspired.
Sarah’s POV
Kahit nasa Story Con ako iba naman ang iniisip ko. I started to pay attention nung nagsasalita si Direk Cathy. Based on the concept, drama nga. Natakot ako in a way kasi magaling si Ms. Iza at si JL. Naku dapat siguro paghandaan ko ‘to. Maganda ang story at mature na ang character ko. Nakakahiya naman kung hindi ako makapag-deliver ng maayos. Basta siguro I’ll get a workshop before the shooting starts. After ng story con, direstso na ko sa bahay. I have to prepare for tomorrow kasi may shoot ako ng commercial the whole day. Pero hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin maalis sa isip ko yung idea na I am being unfair to him. He pinned me again..

Hi beybi girl. Busy? You had ur meryenda na? Wag pagutom! :-0
Nalungkot na naman ako. Naguguluhan ako so I assessed myself. Masaya naman ako pag kasama ko sya, no doubt pero parang may feeling na medyo pigil. I don’t know, baka tama nga yung sabi sa akin ni Ate Shin na hesitant kasi ako pumasok sa another relationship kasi sobra akong nasaktan. I decided not to reply to his messages. I decided to surf the net muna bago mag dinner. Then may nabasa akong article about love and the part that really made an impact to me was:
“You have most likely gained wisdom from your last relationship, and you hopefully understand more of what you do not want in a relationship. It is not fair to punish the new interest because of the sins of the last one. On the same note, do not punish them because they cannot live up to the best qualities of a past love either. Another consideration, would you want them comparing you to their old loves?
Try to see the relationship with "new" eyes, as if you have never loved before, while still using the wisdom you have gained to sense if you are getting into a relationship that is not what you are looking for. And if it happens to be what you are looking for, do not forget to smile, relax, and have fun!”
May point nga ang article. It is not fair to punish the new interest because of the sins of the last one.Haaayyy.. naguguluhan talaga ako. So I decided to call Ate Shin sa kanya ko lang naman na-oopen yung mga saloobin ko eh. Pero before I made a call, pumasok na si Ate Shane at tinawag ako.
“Sarah, may bisita ka sa baba. Dali!”, sabi nya.
“Sino daw ‘te?” , tanong ko.
“Basta! Magsuklay ka nga Be! Bumaba ka na!”, tapos umalis.
Sino kaya daw yun?! Hala ka. Wala naman akong alam na pupunta sa bahay. Nag-ayos ako sandali at bumaba. Nagulat ako.
