1. Please do not read this book unless you have read The Soul Painter first.
This book takes place five years after and deals with things that happened in the first book. There are little inside jokes and stuff that you wouldn't get without reading The Soul Painter, and everything just makes more sense if you read book one first.
It would be like reading Catching Fire before you read The Hunger Games, or The Sea of Monsters before you read The Lightning Thief.
It's just not a great idea, believe me. Please take my word on this.
2. This story is a work of fiction and any similarities that you find between real people and the characters in this book is completely coincidental.
Unless, ya know, you're one of the people I write about, in which case, sure, they might have something to do with you. But I doubt it.
3. Do not steal my story! If you plagiarize, I will declare myself to be Inigo Montoya, and you should prepare to die.
