Jay V, star quarterback of the football team, practically every girls' dream. But mine. We were friends, yes, but I'm more of the...tomboy type. Skirts? Hell no, nail polish?Never before in my life. Make up? What's eyeliner again? So you see, I know nothing about a life of girl.
I have an older brother Joey, and a sister Lucy . Joey is in college,and Lucy, school's bitch. Hey, we might be related but that doesn't mean I LIKE her or CARE for her.
"Clarissa, wake up!"said the bitch,"We're gonna be late!"she complained. I got up and threw a hoodie over my tank top, and pulled on a random, which I know is clean, jean. I brushed my teeth, and went to the garage. I got into the driver seat, and opened the garage.
I pulled on my converse ,that I leave in here, and waited for Lucy. Lucy climbed in looking in her purse. I reversed and closed the garage door, and drived to school, hearing Lucy's whinny, bitchy, pitchy, voice on the damn phone. I got out and waited for Lucy, she eventually got out and I locked my door and walked over to where Jay V and my guys were."Sup guys."I said plopping down in the middle, of our group.
"Sup Lis,"said Jaden, I smacked him in the arm, hard.
"You know I hate being called that! Son of a bitch."I whispered the last part. Yes, I have an anger issue, but he knew me well enough to not call me that.
"Now, now Clair say your sorry."said Jay V in a baby voice put his arm around me.
I laughed at his voice."Boy you sound like you're on crack!"I said laughing.
"Hey, Jay V!"said a high, pitchy familiar voice in the room. I didn't have to turn my head to know who it was. Lucy."Shit,"I said just before she came. Just because Jay V, went on a date, which I know was a pity date, Lucy thinks he's just playing hard-to-get.
Jay V rolled his eyes and said a quick hey before turning his attention onto the guys and me."So as I was saying, movie game night should be at my house this time and don't forget-"he started but Lucy cut him off. I already knew her question before she asked it.
"Can I come?"she asked batting her eyelashes coated with mascara. She always asks the same thing every time.
"No, because no girls allowed."he finished.
"Clarissa is going!"she retorted,
This argument always go on like this, every week. "I meant no girls-except Clair."he said and pecked me on the cheek. Lucy 'hmmped' and walked away.
"Nasty!"I said wipping my cheek where he had kissed.
"Aw, come on. I know you love it."he said smirking.
"Yeah, the day Hell freezes...twice!"I said.
He faked hurt on his face, but a second later a smile broke out on his face."So, who is it now?"he asked.
"Jake Ryan."I said yawning from the lack pf sleep.A round of whoo, erupted from the guys.
"Aw you break his lil heart?"said Bryan in his baby voice looking sad.
"..."I stayed silent.
"You said yes, did you?"smirked Bryan.
"Uhh...well...ya see." I started but didn't know where to go. I admit I did say yes, but that was after he blackmailed me. They all burst into a spasm of laughed and whooped. I rolled my eyes and smacked all their heads.
"Hey, violence is not the answer!"said Blake.
"Violence is almost always the answer."I said flipped my hair dramatically and then put it back where it was.
"Class, class. Settle down, settle down!"said Mr. Homer. I turned around a faced the front. A little speech, then bell rings. Not that much fun. The day went by as usual. Sit, boring teachers,sketch in notebook instead of taking notes, text people in class, lunch, class, go home.
When I got home I sat on the floor of the library, yes I have a library in my home, and lay out all my school books in front of me and the homework. I labeled the top and started my english assignment."Read pages 1-? and write down the original
paragraph, and then rewrite it in your own word."I read aloud. I picked up the book we were supposed to read. 'To Kill A Mocking Bird.' I read about half the book, and started my homework.
Then I moved over to Chem. It was easy, and I did it quick. The other assignments were okay, I manged.
When I finally was done, I went downstairs and heated some take out and went up to my room. Since it was Friday, I didn't have much to do.
Tomorrow I was going over to Jay V's house with the guys, and I don't know when Ryan is going to ask me on a date. Yeah, now your like 'What?Didn't he ask you out?!' think about it. He asked me OUT. Like do you every wanna go out on a date, not like you wanna go out tonight? So you see, they are different,m waaaay different.
It was 10 right now and I decided to go to sleep. Movie/game night started at 7:30 am, I know waaaaaaaay early. But hey, it's tradition. I closed my eyes and a few minutes later, an annoying tap was on my window. Tap.Tap.Tap.
I got up and opened my window.Smack! My face got hit my a rock! I picked it up and looked down. It was too dark to see so I chucked it at whoever it was and heard an 'ow' from below."Ryan?"I asked hearing his voice.
"Geeze! I was trying to be like Romeo, but that was a fail!"he said and smiled. I reached out for the tree next to my window, and climbed down
."What are we doing?"I asked jumping down.
"Well, why don't we walk around?"he said and smiled at me.
"Umm...sure."I said uncomfortably. Ryan seems...different.
I don't know why. When guys ask me out they use me to get to my bitch of a sister. But Ryan...I don't know, I feel like he's using me, but they way he's acting seems...real? I don't know. We walked, and talked...a little.
"Favorite color?"he asked.
"Black."I answer.
"Green."he said,"Favorite band?"he asked.
"Superchick, Paramore, other singers."I said awkwardly. I mean, he DID blackmail me to get me to go out with him.
"Hey, why do you call me by my last name?"he asks me.
"Because, I don't know you."I said simply.I stopped walking,"Look, why did you ask me out? Trying to get to sister? Cuz she will go out with anything that has a dick."I said.
He looked shocked that I said all that."Well, I was trying to, yeah."he admitted.
"I knew it,"I said and climbed up my tree."See ya later, jackass"I said before slipping into my room.
It was already 1am. Holy Shit! That felt like 20 minutes! I slipped under the covers and soon fell into a dreamless sleep. I later woke up to pounding against my door.
"WHAT THE FUCK!"I yelled and buried my self deeper into the comfort of my bed.
"Lis, you better open this damn door, because I'm gonna wake up the whole damn neighbors!"screamed Byran loudly.
"You ARE my neighbor smart ass."I yelled back and got up. I got on some blank skinnies, and wore my hoodie, that has my last name written on the back. I opened the door and Byran's fist hit my stomach. I acted upon it. I punched him in his gut."What the fuck!"I said as the pain subsided. I may hang out with guys but that does not make me unbreakable.
"Sor-ry, but you opened the door just when I was about to knock!"he said. I locked the door and we both climbed into my car.
