A smooth male voice started to croon on the background. I smiled at the lyrics and leaned my head on his upper chest. Zion pulled me closer, his arms tightened around my lower back. We didn't stop from swaying slowly.

The heart-warming song makes me wanna cry and I'm not even surprised. For the past weeks kasi ay madalas akong emotional. Simula nang maging ayos na kami ni Zion ay bumabaw na ang luha ko. Ang dali-dali kong ma-overwhelm. Maybe because being in love makes me sappy?
"Okay?" Zion whispered near my ear.
"Very." tumango ako at ngumiti kahit hindi niya nakikita. Nanatiling nakasiksik ang mukha ko sa dibdib niya.
I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply. I'm obsessed with his smell. Sobrang bango niya talaga. I don't think I can last a day without breathing in his scent. It's not just his cologne or shower gel. He's got this distinct masculine scent. One whiff and I immediately know it's him.
He heavily sighed. "Your parents think I'm your cousin's ex now."
"Well, that's on you. I told you to wait para makahanap ng magandang timing pero lumapit ka pa rin." I calmly replied.
"I've been waiting for one month and a week." he grumbled.
The situation isn't laughable since I will have to prepare myself for a long explanation later on, but I couldn't stop myself from grinning. Zion's cute when he's being like this.
Nung una pa lang ay napag-usapan namin na ngayong araw i-announce publicly ang tungkol sa aming dalawa at ngayong araw ko rin siya ipapakilala sa parents ko.
Iyon nga lang ay hindi ako makahanap ng magandang tyempo. I'm busy with the event, he's busy entertaining guests, while my parents are busy socializing with a few known personalities and business people.
I leaned my face away from his chest and stood properly to look at him. His eyebrows were furrowed and his lips were pursed into a thin line. He's annoyed.
"After the event. Before my parents leave. I promise." sabi ko at sinamahan pa iyon ng matamis na ngiti na alam kong hindi niya matitiis.
His hardened expression slightly softened. The straight line on his lips turned into a pout. My eyes dropped to his mouth. It was a temptation that I wouldn't dare resist.
I slipped my hands down to his shoulder and gripped on it for support. I tiptoed and pulled myself up to reach for his lips. I gave him a gentle kiss, savoring the soft plumps slowly. He didn't move and let me taste him.
My heart was fluttering as I continued what I'm doing. I nibbled on his upper lip. He tastes sweet. It makes me wanna kiss him all day. I slipped out my tongue and parted his lips with it.
Zion groaned. His hands slid to my waist and squeezed it. He leaned down to meet with my height. I stopped tiptoeing and stood flat in my heels. He seared my mouth with a hard and passionate kiss. His tongue brushed mine.
I pulled away when I ran out of breath. I placed my forehead on his upper right chest as I grasp for air. My knees are now trembling. I wanted more than just a kiss, now. I bit my lower lip.
The music faded and the lights were next turned on. Nawala na ang kaninang romantic ambiance ng dance floor. The hired host said something from the stage. Everyone began to clap.
Umayos na ako ng tayo at napansin na nagsisibalikan na ang mga tao sa kani-kanilang table. Patapos na ang event at sunod na ang huling part. It's time for the thank you speech!
"I'll be called to go up on stage in a minute. Let me take you to your table." sabi ni Zion.
Napatingin ako sa kanya. Nakalimutan ko na siya nga pala ang assigned doon. I checked his lips. Nang walang makitang smudge ng lipstick ko doon ay tumango na ako.
Pagkahatid sa akin ni Zion sa table ay saktong tinawag siya sa stage. Nagpaalam siya sa akin at sa mga magulang ko bago umalis ng table at naglakad patungo sa harap.
"Ma, nasaan sila Tito at Tita?" I asked my mother who's seated next to me. Iyon ang una kong napansin nang makarating kami sa table.
Bago ako ayain sumayaw ni Zion ay umalis na si Avis para makipagkita kay LD kaya hindi na ako nagtataka kung bakit wala siya. Les and her boyfriend are nowhere to be seen, too. Si Mommy at Daddy na lang ang tanging nasa table.
Nakakunot ang noo ni Mommy nang lumingon sa akin. "Eros got a call. He said it was urgent. They left the place, I think?"
The familiar voice dominated the whole room. Mabilis na tumango na lang ako kay Mommy bago ibinaling ang buong atensyon sa stage.
Zion spoke brilliantly with confidence. His words were smooth and fluent. He never stuttered. I've never seen him speak in front of a huge crowd before. I'm in awe of him. It's like watching an entirely different person deliver a speech.
"And finally, I'd like to thank Glamur Ad for making this event an enjoyable experience for everyone. To the CEO of the Glamur Ad, Savion Fajardo, the only woman in my life." Zion turned to our table, his eyes immediately found mine. A sly smile occupied his lips. His eyes were twinkling with amusement. "Congratulations, baby."
Murmurs erupted from the people inside the ballroom. The sound of chairs being moved simultaneously followed. I flushed, feeling weighed down on my seat because I know everyone's looking at me right now.
The asshole!
I'm torn between covering my face in embarrassment and shaking my head at Zion's ploy. A hand squeezed my wrist. I turned my head to my mother who's giving me a look. She raised a brow. Sunod akong tumingin kay Daddy na nakasimangot na ngayon sa akin.
I gave them a sheepish grin. "I can explain?"
"You better." my mother quipped before releasing my hand and looking back at Zion.
He quickly bid goodnight to everyone. The distracted crowd clapped before handing the microphone to a staff. A lively music started playing as he headed straight towards our direction.
Alam kong pupunta siya sa table namin. Kahit na may ilang lumalapit sa kanya ay hindi niya pa rin inaalis ang mga mata sa akin. Bago pa siya makalapit ay tumayo na ako para salubungin siya.
He extended his arm and slipped it on my lower back. I scowled at him. He answered it with a pleased smile. He leaned down and kissed the side of my head, squeezing my waist at the same time. I immediately melted.
Nawala ang pag simangot ko at napahinga na lang nang malalim. Hinila ako ni Zion palapit sa table. Huminto lang kami sa paglalakad nang nasa harap na kami nila Mommy at Daddy na parehong nakatingin sa amin ngayong dalawa.
Malamig na pinasadahan ng tingin ni Daddy ang kamay na nakalagay sa gilid ng bewang ko bago muling inangat ang mga mata kay Zion. Nakangiti naman ngayon si Mommy habang nakatingin sa aming dalawa.
"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Fajardo. It would be a pleasure to introduce myself again." inalis niya ang pagkakahawak sa bewang ko at hinarap ng maayos si Mommy at Daddy. "My name is Zion Alexander Serrano and I'm completely and madly in love with your daughter."
"You were her cousin's ex?" malamig na tanong ni Daddy, ni-hindi man lang pinansin ang sinabi ni Zion sa kanila.
"Xavier." my mother said in a low voice.
"That's actually my fault." I quipped. It's my fault. I should be the one explaining it to them.
"Nung college kami, kailangan ni Avis ng maipapakilala kay Tito at Tita. I was still with Zion that time. I asked him to pose as Avis' boyfriend but that's only for one dinner. We broke up months later because of a misunderstanding. Last month lang po ulit kami nagkaayos." I explained.
"College." my mother gasped. Napatingin kaming lahat sa kanya dahil doon. "You mean he's that someone you were falling for when you were still with..."
Nakita ko sa gilid ng aking mga mata ang biglang paglingon sa akin ni Zion. He doesn't know about that. He only found out about my feelings for him months after we ended our arrangement. That's why this is big news to him.
I looked at Zion who's now looking at me like he doesn't care about the world. Paniguradong nanatili ang isip niya sa nalaman kay Mommy.
Tumango ako habang nakatingin sa kanya bago ibinalik ang tingin kay Mommy at Daddy. My mother's lips parted like the puzzles in her mind have been solved. She was curiously staring at Zion while Daddy remained silent.
I briefly bit my lip. I stared directly at my father. "I love him. So much, Daddy."
My father stared at me. My eyes never left him. I waited for him to say something. Tears started to pool in my eyes when seconds passed and he still hasn't said a word. Pinigilan lang ang sarili ko na maiyak. Why am I suddenly turning into a cry baby?
Daddy let out a deep breath before standing up from his chair. He buttoned his suit and scanned the ball room before looking at my mother and offering her his hand. "Let's go, Angel."
"Dad..." nanginig ang basag na boses ko kaya hindi ko na itinuloy ang pagsasalita.
Bumaling sa akin si Daddy. He softly looked at me and flashed me warm smile. "Let's go meet your boyfriend's parents."
Atomatikong tumulis ang nguso ko. Tumakbo ako palapit kay Daddy at niyakap siya ng mahigpit. Humalakhak siya sa ginawa ko. I closed my eyes and hugged him tighter. "Thank you, Daddy."
Everything was close to perfect between us ever since that night. Magkakilala na naman ang parents namin, pero nung gabing iyon ay hindi na sila magkakilala dahil sa business. Zion and I became their link, too.
Unfortunately, it hasn't been perfect for Avis. Nung gabi ng party ay nalaman ni Tita Nova, Luke's mother, ang tungkol sa relationship nilang dalawa. That's why they all disappeared that night at the party. Avis got grounded for two days, on the third day, she thought of eloping with Luke. Iyon nga lang ay may hindi magandang nangyari kaya hindi natuloy.
Sinabi lang sa akin ni Les ang lahat ng nangyari dahil ayaw kong tanungin si Avis. Les tried to ask for Avis' whereabouts to me, that's why I needed to pretend that I didn't know. Doon ako nakakuha ng pagkakataon na itanong ang tungkol sa nangyari sa kanya.
Avis called me the same night she almost eloped with Luke. She told me she needed a safe place to hide. Kapag kasi nag hotel siya ay paniguradong madali siyang mahahanap ni Tito Eros. I offered Zion's place without putting much thought about it and it was a horrible mistake.
Mahigit isang linggo na siyang nandoon sa condo unit kaya mahigit isang linggo na rin kaming privacy ni Zion. Mabuti na lang at pinapayagan siyang dumalaw dito sa bahay. Dito pa siya kumakain ng dinner bago umuwi.
Zion's not allowed to sleep over. It's like an unspoken rule. Hindi man sinasabi ni Daddy ay alam kong hindi siya payag. We can't even have an intimate moment!
Madalas kasi ay kumakatok si Mommy para tanungin kung may gusto kaming kainin. Si Daddy naman ay bigla na lang pumapasok para magtanong ng kung ano. He's checking on us.

"Savion, tell me what happened. Are you okay?" malambing na tanong sa akin ni Zion.
"No. I'm not." I answered and shook my head.
"Miss na..." napatigil ako dahil sa tumakas sa aking hikbi. Pinunasan ko ang pisngi kong basa na ng luha. "Miss na kasi kita."
"What, baby?" he chuckled─half confounded, half amused.
"Pumunta ka na dito." I softly whimpered, rubbing the tears off my eyes. "I wanna see you, Zion. Punta ka na dito, please?"
"Okay, baby. I'll be there in twenty." I heard the familiar sound of his Evoque whenever it's being unlocked.
"Thank you." I sniffed. "I love you."
Zion paused for a few seconds, he always does whenever I say those three words to him. He heavily sighed. "I love you."
Ibinaba ko na ang tawag. Tumayo ako mula sa kama. Kahit na alam kong twenty minutes pa siya bago makarating dito ay gusto kong lumabas para doon siya hintayin. I can't wait inside my room. I'll just keep on pacing.
I grabbed my long black cardigan from my closet and wore it to cover my purple lacy slip dress. Naghilamos muna ako at nagtooth brush bago lumabas ng kwarto.
I waited in front of our slightly opened gate, checking my phone every second. It was fifteen minutes later when I spotted the incoming Evoque from a far. Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo sa gilid at hinintay na makalapit ang sasakyan niya sa drive way namin.
Wala pa siya sa mismong tapat ng bahay ay ihininto niya na ang sasakyan. He didn't even other parking it properly. The car engine died, the car door opened in a flash. He stepped out of the car and it's like air was knocked out of me when I finally saw him.

"Why are you already out─" I didn't let him finish. I grabbed his nape and lifted myself up to capture his mouth.
I immediately deepened the kiss, sliding inside his mouth. I gave the kiss my all. It's like I've been deprived of him for a thousand years, like I've died and lived just to taste his lips.
My fingers delved through his messy hair. I gripped on it and pushed his head forward, kissing him hard and fervently.
Zion groaned. A second later, he began answering my kisses. His arms wrapped around my waist. He tightened his hold on me before lifting me up to kiss me better.

Clothes were strewn on the floor. My back was flat on the bed. Zion hovered on top of me. His other hand was all over my body, hotly caressing every part of my skin. My eyes were squeezed tight as his lips trailed kisses on my jaw, my neck, my shoulder, my sternum.

My entire body went from hot to cold. My eyes were filled with horror as I gasped out loud, "Dad!"
