Dedicated to NDRcookiiess for voting for almost all of my stories=) Thank you!

Once again I apologize for the content of this chapter, it is slightly boring.

I tried my hardest!

Ps: I have nothing against red heads! I think they are so cute :3

Chapter 5

I have had enough of his crap.

First he tells me he loves me, and then he rejects me and now he is telling me that he doesn’t want me to even look at any other guys. What a pig!

“Now you listen here buddy.” I ripped my hands out of his grasp. ”You can’t humiliate me in front of the entire school and then expect me to obey you when you tell me I can’t even look at another guy?”

He smirked and winked. “Feisty, I like it.”

I shoved him in the chest and he went flying back into the set of lockers on the other wall. He groaned in pain when he fell to the ground with a loud thud.

I walked over to him and bent down so I was eye level with him. “You hurt me, you low life bastard. There is no way that I would ever consider even touching you with a ten foot pole.” I spat in his face.

My wolf was begging for me just to forgive him and let us have our mate, but I was so blinded by fury the only thing I wanted to see was him crying for mercy.

“You already did.” He grinned wickedly.

I scoffed and got up. He wasn’t worth my time. I was about to walk away when he reached out and grabbed my wrist. Sparks shot through my skin where he touched it, I nearly gave in then and there, but I would not give him the satisfaction of seeing me weak so I kicked him where it hurts and left him in pain.

“If I can’t have you no one can.” I heard him call out behind me.

The rest of the day passed painfully slow, all I could think about was Carter. Why and the world would he say all of those things to me when we both knew he didn’t really care. I felt the need to just give into him, but that nagging voice in the back of my head kept telling me that he was nothing but trouble.

Kina hadn’t been at school today, so I had sat at my usual seat in the back of the lunchroom. The populars hadn’t messed with me; which was weird considering I was their favorite to pick on, but I was also glad since I really didn’t feel like dealing with their pathetic selves.

I walked outside to meet Charlene when a hand shot out and grabbed my arm. I turned around alarmed.   To my relief, it was only Charlene.

I sighed and put a hand over my heat. “You scared me.”

She grinned widely. “I heard what happened and I just wanted to say how proud of I am of you. He really did need his butt to be whooped.”

My eyes widened. “You know about that?”

She laughed and flicked my nose. “You silly little child, of course I know! The whole school knows! Have you not noticed all of the looks you have gotten today?”

I looked around to see she was right, everyone outside was looking at me with curious stares. My cheeks reddened. Wow, I guess I was just so caught up with my thoughts I didn’t even notice people staring at me.

Come to think of it I didn’t see Carter at all either. Then again, that was probably for the best.

I shook my head. “I guess I was just too distracted to even realize everyone staring at me.”

She gave me a sympathetic look. “Oh, honey. He has hurt you in more ways than you will ever know.” She grinned evilly. “That is why I am so excited to watch him squirm with this next part of the plan.”

I raised an eyebrow at her. “What do you mean by that?”

“Operation, get Kimmie a new boy toy.” She winked.

I nearly scoffed at her idea. I looked at her like she had lost her mind. “What guy in their right mind would even want to go out with me? I am a social outcast! Besides, I don’t want a new ‘boy toy’.”

She wiggled her eyebrows at me. “That red head earlier was falling all over you. Plus, he was pretty cute.”

“Would you date a red head?” I pointed out.

She frowned. “No.” She huffed. “God, you are so picky. Why can’t you be slutty?”

I put my hands up. “Excuse me if I don’t want to go out with every single guy who doesn’t walk my way because I’m wearing underwear on a street corner.” I said flatly.

She laughed. “Oh, you are a feisty little thing my dear cousin.”

I internally flinched. Carter had said the same thing to me. I sighed. I really need to stop thinking about that jack butt. Screw him.

You already did. My wolf said.

I scrunched up my face in disgust. I am now mentally blocking that horrid thought out.

Fingers snapped in front of my face. “Hello? Earth to Kim?”

I snapped out of my daze. “Huh?”

She slapped a hand over her forehead. “This is going to be more difficult than I imagined.”

Later that night I sat in my room staring at the ceiling. After my little chat with Charlene, she had told me to come over to her house tomorrow so she can and I quote, “Get this party started.”

I was afraid to find out what she had in store for me. Sometimes I wonder if she is really right in the head sometimes.

Just when I was about to look over at the left side of my corner, a deep howl rang throughout the woods. I jumped up not expecting it.

The howl rang once more, but this time it was much closer. Like in my back yard close. It was like it was calling me, demanding me to go run with it.

My legs moved mechanically towards my window. It was as if I had no control over my body. Once I got to my window I peered out into the dark woods.

I could see a dark wolf standing at the edge of them staring straight at me. it howled once more, beckoning me to come join him.

Mate. My wolf howled in excitement. Go run!

I wanted nothing more than to let my wolf take over and run, but the voice of reasoning took over before I made a huge mistake.

I strained my arms to move. I closed the curtains in one swift motion.

Traitor. My wolf grumbled.

I turned back towards my bed and climbed into my soft warm sheets.

My feet slammed hard against the cold pavement. It was just a few more blocks and I could make it. He wouldn’t hurt me, I would be okay.

The familiar howl bellowed throughout the streets.

The street lights flickered with anticipation. The pavement was cool against my bare feet.

I was wearing fuzzy pajama pants and my oversized shirt that flapped uncomfortably against my skin.

The sound of paws neared as I turned a corner.

Maybe I could try and trick him by turning into this alley. The darkness swallowed my figure as I darted into it.

There was no light, and all I could hear was my heaving breaths. Just as I thought he had given up, the sound of paws overwhelmed me.

I pushed my aching legs to run faster, but I slammed into a hard brick wall instead. I screamed out as I realized that there was no way out.

I sat there in the darkness, my head throbbed from running, but all my thoughts vanished as I felt a hot breath on my face.

I heard a swoop of air, and then darkness.

I sat up screaming at the top of my lungs. Tears fell down my face and I was sweating like crazy. I was breathing hard,

I had a dream again, and I was almost positive that it was that same wolf again.

My door burst open and my lights switched on. My dad ran into the room with a baseball bat in his hand. When he saw that there was no threat, he noticed me on the bed.

He sat down the baseball bat and came over to my bed. “What’s wrong sweetie?”

I sighed and started telling him about my weird dreams that I have had the last two nights. His face paled as I told him this. He sat down on the bed with an expression that scared the living daylights out of me.

I got out of my covers and sat next to him. “Dad, what’s wrong?”

He didn’t answer. I shook him. “Dad, tell me what’s wrong.”

He looked me in the eye and said two words that I never expected him to say.

“Your mom.”

Haha! I just had to end it like that. Oh, man. I am such a genius. I think that is by far the best part in this book so far.

If you are confused, it isn’t supposed to be funny, but I just had to add that part in it. Vote for humor at serious parts?

On a serious note thank you for all of the readers. Without You (By the way I hate that song…) guys I would probably just thrown this in my rejected pile (Lol, yes I have one.) But, I have you guys so all is well my chicas and chicos.

Adios!
