scintillating dialogue
outside thick glass window panes
blocked by vents
broken blinds sway and vibrate
sound waves flutter through the slits
powerful voices again
dominating talk with drunken revelry
binging off the duality of nature
a feathered serpent
coming from the skies to creep among us
listening to the chatter I've heard since youth
echoing from the backyard
sometimes sounds of laughter
sometimes screams of disaster
but I seem to be the only audience
as the voices ring in my ear
all else seem to live in the quiet
deaf to the hauntings throughout all of the years
