•Derek's POV •
I stopped the vehicle as he said, looking straight at him. I moment a silence began as soon as I looked away. Liam kept his view on the car window, avoiding eye with me until he covered his face with his long sleeve. A small whine came from his mouth. I knew I did something wrong, and I know I've must have said something to upset him, but I didn't mean to make him cry, just hearing his cries make me want to burst out in tears.
"C-can....can you drive me to my house.
"I'm s-"
"Please."
The rest of the ride home was silent once I started the car. We didn't speak to each other nor make any eye contact. I kept my eyes on the road and his on the car window. I couldn't help but to stare directly at him, just for a second. His head sat on his left hand; leaning against the door with his right hand laying on his seat.
I attempted to hold his left hand that was lazily place near his seat, slowly moving my hand towards his, leaving my right hand driving the steering wheel.
But of course I stopped once I reached our destination; Liam's house.
Liam grabbed his backpack from his feet and left out my car, leaving me alone without saying goodbye or even looking at me.
Liam stood in front of my car and with the car window open, he put his head in side and said with a shy smile,
"So, um. Do you-
Aren't you coming?"
Wiping a tear from his face as he took his head out the window, waiting for me to respond. He hid a goofy smile in his sleeve, even giggling a little bit after making his self cringe. I even heard his talk to him self, nodding in disappointment while placing his head in his hand and whispering the word idiot to himself.
"Sure."
Giving a small grin as we finally made eye contact.
I turned off my car, making sure everything was set until a heard a familiar high pitched voice behind the passenger seat.
"Yeah me too!"
"oH MY. WHAT THE FUCK. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THERE.
"The whole day. You forget the unlock the car so I couldn't get out, thus leaving me in here, ya shit! On the bright side I skipped school."
"Get out of my fucking car."
"Fine. Oh! Hey Liam!"
"Hey"
