EARLY THE NEXT MORNING..
JADE
I'm sitting inside my car for about 30 minutes now. Last night I am so ready to do everything I can to win Perrie back but now, oh man! I feel nervous all of a sudden, it feels like I'm a teenager girl courting my classmate and this morning is where I'm going to meet her parents
You can do this Jade! For Perrie and the twins – I told myself trying to boost my courage but who am I kidding?! I groan and fish out my phone; I sent a text message to Jesy and Leigh-anne. I look at the front door again and this time I saw it opens, Louis is getting the fresh milk from their porch. He looks at my way but I immediately hide because my window is halfway down
'I look stupid hiding like a burglar who is planning to rob their house' I whispered. I gave a minute or two and look at the door again but I almost scream when I saw Louis standing near my car
"Good Morning Ms. Jaytee! What are you doing here this early morning?"He asked with a sweet smile on his face, I smiled back at him "Ah, I ah just want to check on your mom. How is she?"
"She's still sleeping. Amelia checks her temperature a while ago and she has a slight fever"I frown knowing my Perrie is sick, yeah my Perrie so don't try to protest!
"Do you think she'll mind if you know I visit her and maybe help you guys take care of her?" I asked him and I don't know but there's something about his smile "Sure you can Miss, she won't mind, trust me" I nod my head at him and grab my things. I went outside of my car and lock it; I forgot that I'm holding flowers for her
"So are you really planning on visiting my mom?" He asked me while we're on our way to the front door "Oh ah, n-not really. I was planning to visit a friend of mine living in your block"I lied, I'm sorry Louis. He didn't answer me instead he just smiled and open the door for us.
"Louis! Where have you been?"I heard Amelia's voice and I could tell that she got Perrie's traits "Look who I found!" Louis excitedly said, Amelia is surprise to see me but she smiled and like what I've said earlier, there's something about their smile that makes me worried
"Good Morning! You here to visit our mom?" same question as Louis but I shook my head but Louis is the one to answer her question "She's visiting a friend here in our block" and went straight to the kitchen
"Oh okay, would you mind helping us prepare a breakfast for her?" she asked me again "No I won't mind. I have an idea though"
"What is it?"
"Let me do the cooking while you and your brother tell me stories"
"What kind of stories?"
"Anything you want to tell" she thinks for a while then nods her head at me "You've got a deal Miss. Now let's go, mom needs to take some medicine and she needs to eat." Amelia pulls me towards the kitchen, Louis is drinking his fresh milk and give one to his sister
"Do you want some, Jad- Ms. Jaytee?"he asked me, I don't know if I heard it right for the first time, Did Louis almost say my name?
"No thanks, I'm good. So what are you planning to cook for your mom?" I asked them while I look inside their fridge "It's up to you; you're the one who will cook. I know you know that our mother will eat anything as long as it is food" I laugh at Amelia and they are both sitting on a chair
"Okay, let me make some mushroom soup for her and bread with hot tea, how's that?"
"Mom will love it" Louis answered "Better start telling me stories, kiddos" they both giggle as they start their story. I've been cooking for 20 minutes now and preparing the tea for Perrie, Amelia and Louis told me different stories about their school friends, their Uncle and Auntie and their mom. They called Jesy to let the school know that they won't go to school today
"You guys really love your mom huh?" I asked them while mixing the mushroom soup "Yeah, a lot! Though we're kinda sad for her" Amelia answered, I look at them and furrow my eyebrows
"Why? Is everything okay?"
"Yeah everything's fine but you know we want our mother to find someone who can love her and take her of her more than we can give" Louis answered "But she's been into a lot of dating in the past and she never found that someone"
I feel a pang of jealousy when I heard that Perrie's been dating but I immediately shook it off because I was not there for her and I'm one of the reason why she's sad "Give her some time, maybe she's trying to find the right one for her" I answered with a smile on my face, I took the salt shaker and put some salt in it when Amelia speaks
"Maybe she's waiting for you to come back, Ms. Jade Thirlwall" she said, my whole attention is in the soup I'm making and literally answered her "I don't think she wants me back in her life, you know that I—" and then it hit me, I drop the shaker into the soup and look at the twins
"That's why we're trying to find you and talk to you. We can help you be with our mom again if you want" Louis said, I'm still processing those words I hear when I heard a gasp. The three of us looks at Perrie who is standing in the centre of the kitchen door
"Mom! I told you to wait for us upstairs. Ms. Jaytee is helping us to prepare you breakfast" Amelia said but with a smile on her face, Perrie didn't say a word, she's just looking at me and I'm staring back at her. She's wearing a Silk Satin Nightgown and a bathrobe though my eyes are looking at those legs
"Ehem" I heard Perrie said, I smiled at her and feel the heat rising up to my face "S-sorry. I just want to check on you if you're okay" I said and she nods her head twice
"Look mom! Ms. Jaytee prepared mushroom soup for you. Come and taste it" Louis said and pulls her mother towards the stove. Perrie took the wooden spoon and stir the soup but she stop when she felt something inside. Amelia pulled me closer to her and motion for me to lean down
'You dropped the salt shaker inside, Jade' she whispered to me, I immediately took the wooden spoon on Perrie's hand and smiled at her "Ah let me finish this first. Louis, why don't you bring your mom upstairs" I told him
"Okay Miss, whatever you say. Now come along now Mom, you heard what she said" Amelia giggle again and we both wait for them to leave the kitchen and when the coast is clear, I turn off the heat and took the shaker out
"Do you need to cook again or this will be fine?" Amelia asked me, I took a spoon and took a spoonful and taste the soup "I think this will be fine." I answered
"Are you sure? Mom won't be poisoned or something?" I raised an eyebrow at her "It's just a shaker Amelia, It won't kill your mom." I answered; she laughs at me and watches me put some into the bowl
"So about what we said earlier, we're here Jade if you need our help" she told me, okay this time I need to correct her about this "My name is Jaytee sweetheart, I'm not the Jade you're looking for" I told her, she shrugs her shoulder and left my side so I continue with my work. I place the tea inside a pot and place it on the tray with the soup, cup and bread
"Honey, I'm done here. Time to bring these to your mom" I felt Amelia's presence behind me, so I grab the tray and turn around and almost drop what I'm holding when I saw Amelia waves my wallet in front of me
"Care to know how I got it?"she asked me. When I reached my apartment last night, I'm looking for my wallet inside my bag but haven't found it, so I think that I dropped it inside Jake's car and I was wrong
"How you got it?" I asked her though nervousness is present in my voice "We took it. Sorry I know it's wrong to take someone's personal belongings without permission but we have reasons" I didn't say a word and that's a hint for her to continue explaining
"To be honest, I and my twin brother are not dumb. We saw how our mother reacted when she saw you, why she's mad to Auntie Jesy and Uncle Jayson. When you guys are playing charades, there's somewhat tension and awkwardness present in the atmosphere"
Damn it! She's just 8 right? How on earth did she know about those feelings? – I asked myself. Well the thing is, I can't deny the fact that I'm not Jade Thirlwall. I do have some Identification cards inside and of course our picture though we look different on that one those ID's inside my wallet will put end on the looking-chasing-guessing game
But I'll still try if I can deny it while I can "That's not me, baby"I answered her with a smile on her face but she just shrugs her shoulder at me "Deny it all you can, Ms. Jade but now we know who you really are" she said and walk-away, I sigh and followed her from behind
As we're walking to their mother's room, she stops for a while and go inside her room and I saw her hide my wallet under her pillow
"You're not giving it back to me?" I asked her "I will give it back to you later, for now, we need your help to take care of mom" and we proceed heading to Perrie's room
"You can count me in but I'm worried that she won't like it"
"Don't worry, she won't argue or protest when she's sick. That's why most of the time, me and Louis can do what we want if she's taking rest"and smiled at me "Don't you have work today?"
I shook my head and say "I can call Leigh-anne and tell her I can't come to work, she'll be okay with that" I lied, Leigh-anne already knows that I'm spending my day with them
"Okay Jade, let's go" she opens the door and we saw Louis giving books to their mother. Perrie looks at Amelia first then to me, I walk towards the bed and place the tray on top "Time to eat mom, Ms. Jaytee prepares these for you." Amelia said and sits beside her mother
"How about you guys?" Perrie asked them and of course me too "We'll eat once you're finished eating. We'll be fine mom" Louis answered who is sitting on the edge of the bed, Perrie smiled at the two then look at me
"You can sit here" she said to me and taps the space beside her on the right. Okay Perrie just told me to sit beside her, as in B.E.S.I.D.E her, get it?
Move now Jade! Don't stand there looking like a fool smiling! – My supportive brain told me. I look down and start to move my feet, once I am sit, I took the tray and place it on my lap and grab the spoon
"What are you doing?" Perrie asked me when she saw that I'm taking a spoonful of soup "I am going to feed you and take care of you" I answered while looking at her "You don't need to, I can take care of myself" I look at Amelia and she just smiled at me
"I know that but for now let me do that for you. I already called Leigh-anne and tell her that I won't go to work today, so I have the whole day to be with you and the kids" I look at Perrie again and I know I'm going to hear another protest from here but I didn't
"Okay, if we're not bothering you. You can spend the day with the kids" she answered "Oh don't forget yourself, love. I will take good care of these two, I promise you that" Perrie give me a small smile but it's genuine and I feel happy about it
"Now it's time to feed my big baby" I said. Perrie let me feed her, at first we felt awkwardness because the twins are there but when they start to tell stories again, all those tensions, nervousness, shyness and this awkward atmosphere disappears.
After she ate, we let her rest for a while. Me, Amelia and Louis quietly went out of her room and head downstairs. We were in the kitchen when Louis gives me a hug
"Thanks for helping us, Jade. Mommy will feel better soon because you are here" He said while hugging me "Aww sweetheart you don't have to thank me. Though I still want to deny that I'm not Jade but you guys already caught me in the act of denying" the twins laughs and Amelia went to my side and hugs me too
"Like what we've said before, we are here to help you. Mom needs someone like you" I smiled and look down at them "You won't mind having two mommies instead of a Daddy?" and they both shook their heads
"Some of our classmates have two mommies and they are happy and okay with it, why won't we?" Louis asked "Ah even though I want to answer our question, you're still young to understand a few things but let's forget about that for now. Who wants some mushroom soup?"
"We do Mommy Jade!" they both answered and each took a bowl, I don't know why but I'm so happy to hear them calling me 'Mommy Jade'
I'm going to win you back Perrie. This is just my first step.
For the past 1 hour, Jade helped the twins to clean their house and do some laundry. She also told them to take a bath before they can play. Amelia and Louis ran downstairs where Jade is waiting for them while they are taking a bath.
"We smell good now Mommy Jade!" Louis said and sat on her lap, she pretends smelling the two kids which both giggle "You always smells good, sweeties. So what do you want to play?" she asked them, Amelia thinks for a while then smiled at her
"We do have some monopoly at the storage room but you need to ask Mom for the code to open the door." She said to Jade "There's a code on your storage door?"
"Yes Mom. That's where our mom kept her things and even if we know it, we can't reach the lock to punch in the code" Louis explained "Oh okay, you guys wait for me here." The two nods their heads and watch Jade went upstairs.
She knock on Perrie's door but find her sleeping, Jade is standing beside her bed and place the blanket on her chest. She stares at her face for a while and absentmindedly smiles and sits on the bed.
'I still love staring at your face even if you're sleeping' Jade whispered, she wants to caress her face but she hesitates, fearing Perrie will be mad at her. She looks down at her hands not knowing the Perrie opens her eyes and look at her
'I'm a fool of not believing in you.' Jade whispered again but Perrie hears it "Everything okay, Jade?" she asked, Jade immediately look up and met those blue eyes again looking at her
"Oh ah yeah everything's fine, Pez" she answered "What are you doing here?"
"I-I'm just checking on y-you if you're okay and oh the kids wants to play monopoly but they said that it's in your storage room"
"Oh okay, let me get it for you." Perrie answered and was about to get up when Jade stops her "You need to rest Perrie. Let me get it."
"It's okay Jade. I don't want to lie down and sleep all day. I need to move if I want to feel better soon" Perrie smiled at her and motion for her to follow her. They both went downstairs and didn't stop when Amelia and Louis are looking at them.
They passed the library then to the kitchen and another door to the left then stops in front of a big wooden door. Perrie opens it and turn on the light
"Watch your step" she said and Jade saw a stair which consists of 5 steps then another door. She watch Perrie punch a code and the doors opens. Perrie looks back at her and say "To keep them out of the room" and went in. Jade follows her but Perrie stops her.
"Stay there. The locking mechanism inside is broken so if this door close, we can't get out." Jade nods her head and waits for Perrie to find the board game and found it in less than a minute. They went back to the living room and Perrie gives the game to the twins
"Let's play now! You'll join us mom?" Louis asked Perrie who nods her head but Amelia frowns after she opens the board game to find the dice are missing
"We can't play without it." Amelia said "Fine, I'll go look for it" Perrie stands up and Jade did the same
"You can stay here Jade, I'll be fine" Perrie said "No, I'll go with you." Perrie didn't bother to protest and let her come. Like what they did a while ago, Jade is standing beside the door, Perrie now opens the light but it keeps on blinking so she decided to turn it off.
She's busy finding the dice which she doesn't know where while Jade is looking at her then to the other door when all of a sudden, Jade screams and jump up and down and ran to Perrie
"What is it?" Perrie asked her "There's a bug! A flying bug!" Jade answered, Perrie look around and the thing is they are both scared of a bugs or insects
"I can't it, where is it?" Perrie asked again and they slowly move when it appears and they both scream and hug each other. They didn't saw that it went out and the door is slowly closing
"I don't know where it flew but it's in here somewhere" Perrie's attention is on finding the flying bug and it's too late for her to notice the door closing. She is puzzled why the room went dark all of a sudden.
"Oh gosh Jade" Perrie blurted out "What? Did you see it?" Jade asked her but Perrie shook her head
"The door is close" Perrie answered
45 minutes later
JESY
Leigh-anne called me the moment I invited her to go to Perrie's house to check on them. We both agreed to meet in my sister's front porch and she's there when I arrived. I knock on the door and Louis opens it.
"How's my handsome little nephew?" I asked as me and Leigh-anne enters the house "Hello Auntie Jesy! Auntie Leigh-anne! I'm good, how about you two?"
"We're good Louis. Where's your mom?" Leigh-anne asked him, we were on our way to the living room "She's at the storage room with Ms. Jaytee" we both stopped walking and look at each other
"She and Jad- What are they doing there?" I asked "We're about to play monopoly but the dice are missing so they both went to look for it"
"Oh okay let's wait for them to come back" leigh-anne said and I agrees "But they were for almost an hour now" and again me and Leigh-anne stops on our tracks
"Wait for us in the living room; we'll go check on them okay?" Louis nods his head and run towards the living room. Good thing I know where to find that storage room
"Maybe they are still looking for the dice, Jes" I heard Leigh-anne said "There's a possibility yeah but for about an hour, I don't think so Leigh" I open the door and we both went down the stairs, I was about to knock on the door but we heard something inside. I place my ear on the door and Leigh-anne copied my moves, we listen carefully and both our eyes widen on what we hear.
I saw Leigh-anne was about to knock when I stop her and pulls her on our way out. We haven't said a word for about five minutes and when I look at her, she took the words right out of my mouth
"Please don't tell me they are doing it?!" she asked me
