ADRASTEIA'S POV
After the meeting I untangled myself from Henry's side and went in any direction I could to get away from him at the moment.
"Stop. Stop this right now, Adrasteia." He said in his authoritative and demanding tone that made me bite my lip as I was half way up the stairs. I let out a breath and rolled my eyes before I turned around.
"What, Henry?" I said looking down at him with his foot on the first step. His gaze momentarily faltered looking at me but then his eyes turned hard. Great, he's upset.
"What is wrong with you? Is this all because you thought I called you weak?" He said with confusion as he reached my step and came forward to embrace, or rather lock, me in his arms. I rolled my eyes when I felt his hands softly rub my stomach. "Because, my love, you know I didn't mean it that way." He said kissing my cheek then the corner of my mouth, I replied before he could kiss me again.
"Hmm," I grimaced back to him. "Of course not, honey, I'm just tired. I'm going back to bed." I said untangling him from me and jumping the stairs to get away from his heart fluttering kisses and heat engrossing touch. It's times like this when I hate having a gorgeous mate I can't stay mad at.
He is too amazing to be mad at and I can barely be away from him especially now with our sky rocketing hormones. I heard his growl as I slammed the bedroom door shut. I knew he had a key to our room but locking the door made me feel a bit more secure on privacy for now. I was getting a towel when I heard the door knob being yanked on.
His feral growl echoed in the room. "Addy, open the door."
I didn't answer him as I shrugged my fluffy blue robe on and my little white slippers. I got the bath tube water on and plugged in my iPod to the speaker, I added bubbles and oils to make the water smell like vanilla bean. The calming scent of the water and soft sounds of the water splashing with soft piano and violin music was pure heaven. I stepped into the burning water slowly and closed my eyes letting myself adjust when I heard the sliding door of the bathroom open. I didn't have to look up to know it was Henry, his scent and tension filled the room. I knew his intentions and didn't stop him when I heard the rustling of clothes hit the floor, in fact it was more than expected of him to join.
He slipped in beside me and held me, I wanted to roll my eyes because of my irritation towards him but between the heat of the water and the humming sparks of our touch it was difficult to be even upset.
He turned my head and kissed my forehead softly. "Addy?"
I didn't want to disturb the peace with an argument so I didn't open my eyes or respond.
"Adrasteia, we have to talk."
"If you are going to disturb my nice and calming bath you can just leave right now." I almost growled but it was drowned out by the tiredness in my voice.
"Sweetheart, talk to me, I want to know why you are so upset with me. What did I do?" He whined, tightening his hold on me. I winced at the pain of his grip.
"Lighten up there on the hands, Henry." I said finally opening my eyes.
"Sorry," he muttered then moved to pin me to the tub. "Adrasteia, you are distracting me." He said starting to lazily kiss my neck.
"More like you're the one distracting me from my peace and quiet, Alpha." I said back with a humorous attitude.
He retreated back to where he could see my expression. His eyebrows furrowed. "Are you mocking me, mate?"
I giggled ad sighed. "Maybe. But it is your fault, you are the one disturbing my peace and quiet. Anyhow, I believe the water is getting cold, enjoy the rest of my bath." I said as I slipped out from under him and quickly dried and shrugged on my robe.
I felt triumphant hearing his growl at my escape but my victory was short lived as he came storming out. Still naked. And dripping wet...
Very short lived.

HENRY'S POV
I looked at my beautiful mate's sleeping face as she snuggled against my chest. I understand Adrasteia's need to be alone but I can't stand my mate not being by my side. she is everything to me. If anything were to happen to her I don't know if I could live.
Everything was so perfect in that moment, she was at my side, pregnant with my pup. Both of them safe. Nothing in that moment could possibly be made better.
Until the shrill of the phone made my love stir. She flinched and made a groaning noise. I growled and told one of the pack members to get it before my love woke up.
"A-alpha?" There was a meek knock on the door.
"What is it?" I hissed tucking my mate in before going to the door. The girl looked scared then blushed when she saw my bare chest.
"Sorry to interrupt you and Luna but there is an Alpha Matthew Winchester on the phone for you. I asked for him to leave a message with me but he says its urgent." She said handing the office phone to me. She then bowed and walked away.
"Hello, Matthew." I said after locking the door again. "May I ask what is so urgent you must call so late and almost wake my mate up."
He laughed. "Sorry, Henry, but it is urgent. The other three Alpha's and I are meeting and it would seem as if we are plotting against you if we were not to invite you. The meeting will be here in Florida in two weeks."
"Two weeks, don't you think that's a bit sudden, Matt. My mate and I have a lot planned for the next month."
"Sorry, Henry, I meant to have one of my Omega's call you a month in advance but it slipped her mind apparently." He growled. "If you can't make it that's fie, we'll call you and include you in any major decisions--"
"No, no. It's fine my mate and I will be there in two weeks."
"Are you sure? We don't want to make you feel obligated to come."
"Don't worry, I'm sure my Adrasteia would love Florida. Well, I'll see you and your mate in two weeks." I said before hanging up. I turned and saw my Adrasteia rubbing her eyes. My temper was close to flaring but seeing her innocent little face calmed me.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you." I said getting back into the bed an pulling her back to me.
"It's fine. Who was that on the phone?" she said getting comfortable snuggling on the pillows and my chest.
"Alpha Matthew Winchester, I told you about him right?" I said while stroking her silky hair.
"Hmm, strongest alpha in America? I know of him but you never told me about him." She said with her eyes closed.
"Well, he is the Alpha of the pack above ours in size. He is having the top Alpha's of the U. S. come over in two weeks."
"What?" She said sitting up. "We have the candle-light ceremony in two weeks! And the crib is coming in. We can't go, Henry, theere's no way."
I sighed and banged my head on the headboard. "We have to, Adrasteia. I believe a meeting between the top of Alpha's should include number 2. We are representing and not showing up will give off a signal for other packs, we have to. I'll arrange to move the candle-light ceremony later, I promise you won't miss it." I know she was excited to set up the ceremony as her first year as Luna and she was working hard for the pack.
You see, in every pack something goes on when the Alpha has found his mate - any sort of celebration For us, we have a candle-light night. It is sort of a movie night you could say, the exception being we have pack members do things for us. They can sing, dance or act, afterwards we all sit on the grounds behind the pack house and watch a movie on a projector - the movie choice through a poll. The entire event is lit by only candles, it is a night of no electricity - besides the movie. I knew Adrasteia was excited for it and it was a celebration made for her, I wouldn't allow her to miss it only because of a meeting.
"Okay. I'll reschedule it a week after we get back." She said with a sigh and resting back against me.
