[ That Night, At Umi ]
Umi was treating her bruises on her elbow while thinking of the 'Fight For Shinjuku' tommorow.
"The planning was excellent. But something's odd i can feel it." Umi mumbled and looked at her bow and arrow.
'What will we do if we fall apart? Will we abort the mission or what? Well, knowing Serina and Honoka, they never run away from a fight until they succeed.' Umi thought.
"Maybe... I can bring along my Crossbow..." Umi mumbled.
[ At Wayne and Kotori ]
Wayne has his eyes closed while sitting on the floor in front of Kotori who has her eyes open.
'I really hope Kotori-san won't be mad at me for setting up this cruel Genjutsu on her...' Wayne thought and opened his eyes. His eyes were brighter than his original color. Soon later, Kotori's eyes turned the same as Wayne, showing that it was a success that Wayne placed a Genjutsu on Kotori. What Kotori was seeing was all black, nothing. Until she saw her mom and dad.
"Mom? Dad?" Kotori asked.
"Ko... Tori..." Her parents said and then got stabbed in the heart.
"Mom! Dad!" Kotori yelled.
"Do you want your friends to experience the same?" The Demon asked.
"No..." Kotori said.
"Hm... Then... Are you willing to take away your humanity to protect them?" The Demon asked. Before Kotori can even answer, Wayne cut if off by returning his eyes to normal. Kotori was crying and then she fainted.
"I think that was too much." Wayne mumbled and carried Kotori bridal style before knocking into Honoka's room. Honoka opened the door and looked curiously at Wayne
"What happened?" Honoka asked.
"Kotori agreed to my training partner on Genjutsu now guess what happened." Wayne said and handed Kotori to Honoka.
"You went overboard." Honoka said. Wayne just walked away. Honoka just sighed and closed the door with her feet. She placed Kotori on her bed and stared at her.
'Beautiful...' Honoka thought and gently kissed Kotori's nose.
[ At Eli, Nozomi, and Nico ]
"I can't believe i'm going on a mission with my 'student'! How is she even here?!" Nico yelled.
"Nicocchi, i'm sure she has a good reason. She's from the famous Shinjuku Imperial Demon Army after all." Nozomi said.
"Nozomi, didn't you once joined the Shinjuku Imperial Demon Army?" Eli asked. Nozomi just smiled and nodded.
"That was when i was 14, Elicchi. I'd rather not talk about those days." Nozomi said. Eli just stared at her.
'Maybe it was hard for her to be there?' Eli thought.
"If Maki-chan fails me on this mission i'm gonna go nuts." Nico said.
"Maki-san is a strong girl. She won't fail her beloved teacher." Nozomi said.
"She better not." Nico said.
[ At Maki, Rin, and Hanayo ]
"Hanayo-sama? Why were they calling you Hanayo-sama?" Rin asked. Hanayo blushed and looked down on the ground with a sad face.
"I... I'll tell it you all when i want..." Hanayo said.
"Ehhh? But Kayo-chin~~" Rin whined.
"Rin, let her have her time." Maki said. Rin pouted and just nodded. Hanayo stood up and grabbed a dagger.
"I'll just go outside." Hanayo said and walked out of the room. On the way outside, Hanayo bumped Serina's shoulder.
"I-I'm sorry." Hanayo said. Serina ignored her and kept walking. Hanayo was in the back of the house, looking at the dark blue sky with stars on it.
"Maybe it was a bad idea to join the Extermination Unit." Hanayo mumbled.
[ Back At Umi ]
'I can't sleep.' Umi thought and sat up. Umi gasped when she heard a gunshot. Umi immediately grabbed her bow and arrows and ran to Serina's room. She kicked the door open and saw a tall guy standing in front of Serina with the gun pointing at her forehead.
"Serina--"
"Hm? Is this your friend?" The guy asked. Serina averted her gaze to Umi and then back on the tall guy.
"No. She's just part of the Extermination Unit i am in." Serina said.
"Is that so? You're lucky she was the only one who heard the gunshot." The guy said. And smirked evily. His sharp fangs were visible.
'A Vampire!' Umi thought.
"You know that Mr. Kousaka miscalculated, don't you? You want to protect your precious teammates, right?" The guy asked and lowered the gun. Serina just stared blankly at the guy.
"I take that as a yes. Now..." The guy said and leaned close to Serina's neck, Umi grits her teeth.
"Are you willing to take away your humanity to protect them?" The guy whispered. Serina's eyes looked at Umi and then said...
"Yes." Serina said. The guy smirked and Umi's eyes widened when the guy was preparing to bite Serina.
"No, don't.." Umi said. As soon as the guy bit Serina, Umi wakes up ^_^.
"A dream...?" Umi mumbled and ran to Serina's room. Umi opened the door and saw Serina playing with her magic while a lollipop was on her mouth. Umi sighed in relief as Serina looks curiously at her.
"What? Aren't you supposed to be asleep?" Serina said.
"I... I had a bad dream..." Umi said. Serina just continued to stare at her.
"You were going to be bitten by a vampire... He asked you if are you willing to take away your humanity to protect your friends... And you said yes." Umi said. Serina smirked and stood up in fromt of Umi.
"Are actually worried about me, Hime-sama?" Serina teased. Umi blushed and nodded. Serina scoffed and looked away.
"As if i would give up my humanity and be a blood sucking murderer. I don't want to be hunted." Serina said and held Umi's shoulders, looking at Umi's eyes.
"I still have someone to protect by my own free will... You." Serina said. Umi just looked at the ground, blushing once again. Serina smiled, too bad Umi didn't saw it. Serina dropped the smile and let go of Umi.
"You should sleep now." Serina said.
"Okay... Goodnight." Umi said and closed the door. Serina sat down and touched her neck.
"If a vampire did ask me that... What would i answer...?" Serina mumbled. Serina chuckled and looked at the window.
'Umi... I'm sorry for lying.' Serina thought.
[ At Kotori ]
Honoka is now sleeping beside Kotori and Kotori is now awake. Kotori turned to Honoka and touched Honoka's cheek.
"Honoka-chan..." Kotori mumbled.
"You never cried ever since Yukiho-chan died... Does that mean you growned stronger now?" Kotori asked. Honoka suddenly opened her eyes and touched Kotori's hand that was on her cheek.
"I don't know..." Honoka said. Kotori smiled and leaned close to Honoka's face, pressing her nose to Honoka's.
"Strong or not, me and Umi-chan will always be there to support you." Kotori said. Honoka closed her eyes and hovered on top of Kotori, looking straight at Kotori's eyes.
"Kotori-chan... What if i changed instead of growned stronger?" Honoka asked.
"You're still gonna be the Honoka-chan we know." Kotori said. Honoka closed her eyes and pressed her forehead to Kotori's.
"Thank you." Honoka whispered and kissed Kotori's lips. Kotori's just closed her eyes and kissed back, lacing her arms around Honoka's neck.
[ At Wayne ]
Wayne ran a hand through his hair as her sighed.
"Damn it..." Wayne mumbled and continued writing some other plans in case the mission fails tommorow.
"Mr. Sonoda and Mr. Kousaka is really testing us." Wayne mumbled.
[ At The Backyard ]
Wind flows through the leaves. Hanayo's eyebrows were furrowed.
'No, this time. I won't be afraid.' Hanayo thought.
