After being in the hospital for another week, Jaime's doctor finally released him, and to say I was ecstatic would be a tremendous understatement. I was happy that I would finally be able to take him home.
Two days after he woke up they gave him the same physical test they gave me and he failed it, he was having a hard time walking and they said that was to be expected especially after being in a coma for over a month.
I took the liberty in forcing Jaime to walk every day since then, once in the morning, then after lunch and right before bed. He, Lilah and I would do a daily routine until he was able to walk normally again. Then the day before yesterday when they gave him the test again he finally got it down and passed, even though his walking is a bit slow.
I think the main goal he accomplished was being able to eat solid foods, he literally tore up his hamburger that the nurses had brought him.
I finished packing my last duffle bag of things that were brought to me from home, Vic had already taken Lilah's play pin last night since she's been sleeping with Jaime in his bed.
Even though Jaime was awake I refused to go home, no matter how many times he told me to.
"Are you ready?" I ask as soon as Jaime comes out of the bathroom, fully dressed in a pair of cutoff jeans with his Mexico soccer jersey, and his favorite red Vans tied to his feet.
"As ready as ever my lady." He smiles walking slowly over to where I stood with three bags in my hand.
Jaime turns me around to face him and places a kiss on my forehead, "Thank you."
"For what?" I ask with a tilt to my head.
"For never leaving my side, for encouraging me and never giving up even though it got hard. You're absolutely the best person in my life and I appreciate everything you do for our family."
I smile up at him then step on my tip toes to place a kiss on his lips, lingering there a bit before pulling apart, "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else with anyone else, this is where I'm supposed to be."
"I love you." He grins.
"I love you too booger, now let's get out of here, my skin is turning white and that's because of the lack of sun." I laugh grabbing two of the bags and Lilah's car seat while he took the last bag and his folder of release papers.
After successfully putting all of our things in my car, which Vic brought over to me, I situated myself in the front seat and pulled out of the hospital parking lot.
It was weird to say the least, driving again after being in an accident is scary, because now you're more alert than anything. I couldn't help but get small flashbacks every time I saw a red light turn green, but I pushed them aside and went at my own pace even though people were going around me, oh well they can kiss my ass.
I went in another direction completely passing the exit to our apartment, which Jaime noticed right away, "Where are we going?"
"We're going to Vic and Dani's." I smile.
"But why?" He drags out with a whine.
"Because I need to pick up Lilah's play pin."
As we got closer there were about five other cars parked outside, I had to park across the street behind Tony's black Honda Civic.
"Come on." I say turning the car off and unbuckling my seatbelt.
"No, I can just stay in here with Lilah."
"Well Lilah is coming too, so you gotta come with." I say opening the door and climbing out.
I hear an audible groan through the shut door and laugh, opening the back door to grab Lilah as Jaime gets out of the front, "Are you gonna go in there and talk?"
"Maybe." I giggle.
I walk up to the front step with Jaime following shortly behind, I ring the door bell and wait until someone answers, being met within seconds by a very happy Danielle.
"Hey guys, come in." She ushers.
We follow her inside as she motions us to follow her out to the back, and when we get through the sliding door a whole bunch of people stood around with smiles on their faces.
"WELCOME HOME!" They all shouted.
"Oh my God." Jaime laughs.
"Thanks guys."
"We thought we'd do a little something for you." Vic says from next to Jaime.
"You guys find any excuse to throw a party." He laughs again.
"Oh you know it buddy." Vic chuckles patting his back.
After saying hi to everyone we got a plate with some food, being barbeque, something Jaime has been asking for since he woke up.
We sat at a table with Mike, Alysha, Tony and Spencer laughing and eating until Vic and Danielle brought over two more chairs to sit with us and hang out.
It was a little after eight when I finally put Lilah to sleep in Vic and Dani's room, along with Joyce who fell asleep in Jaime's arms when he asked to hold him.
We both walked down to the backyard where it was just us eight and Max who Danielle offered to take care of while we were in the hospital. We sat around the bonfire that Vic had started and talked about anything that came to mind.
"I wanna do another show." Jaime speaks up after our last conversation died down.
"Can you do that right now?" Tony asks.
"Probably not but, I feel like I need to go out there and do something."
"Well we can see what we can do, but for now you just gotta get back to normal bro." Mike says with a smile.
"So camping in a few weeks maybe?" Vic asks with a cheerful voice.
"Is this something you guys planned without me?" Jaime laughs.
"Yeah we all voted and you lost so you have to come with or without consent." Vic answers.
"Well lucky for you guys, I want to go so let's get this ball rolling."
After another hour of planning our trip and talking about nonsense I decided it was time for us to go home and get some rest.
I have a very busy week, with all the time spent at the hospital I haven't gotten a chance to finish up the bakery, although with the help of Spencer and the girls, I got my equipment ordered and they went to set everything up, now all I had to do was decorate the place and get it ready for opening day.
Sarah had taken the liberty in grabbing some recipes from me so she can teach Tori and David, which I couldn't thank her enough for. This is why I made her my shop manager, so when I couldn't do something, she could help me out.
I helped Jaime up the stairs and to our apartment, after of course he complained the whole way about how he shouldn't have gotten a second floor apartment.
We made our way to the bedroom after putting Lilah in her crib, who was still asleep since we left Vic's, I then stripped out of my clothes and got comfy in a pair of yoga shorts and one of Jaime's shirts. Jaime was already settled in bed and turned off his light as soon as I got in next to him.
"Goodnight baby." He mumbles into my hair as he wrapped his arm loosely around my waist.
"Goodnight." I smile.

The bright sun woke me up along with my alarm clock telling me to get ready for the day. I reluctantly got out of bed and noticed Jaime was still sleeping, out of a state of curiosity and a bit of panic I nudged him on his shoulder to see if he'd wake up.
After getting nothing in response I shook his body roughly, he quickly jumped up a bit startled but I was finally able to let go of the breath I was holding in.
"What was that for?" He asks still completely shocked at the way I woke him up.
"I'm sorry, I tried nudging you and when you didn't wake up I got scared." I say softly.
"Oh, well I'm always going to wake up now. Don't worry baby, come here." He says lending out his hand for me to take.
I place my hand in his and he pulls me over to him and into a tight hug as he kisses my cheek, "I'm not going anywhere for a very long time, you're pretty much stuck with me." He laughs.
I pull away and shake my head then kiss his lips, "And I'm totally okay with that."
I get off of the bed and go into the closet to pick out an outfit, once I settled for one I placed it on the bed and went over to the bathroom to take a shower, Jaime brushing his teeth over the sink, then turning to me as I began to strip from my night clothes.
"Stop staring at me." I blush.
"Stop being so damn sexy and maybe I won't stare."
"Whatever." I laugh opening the shower door then step into the hot water, the steam fogging up the glass within seconds.
I begin scrubbing shampoo in my hair then wash my body with the lavender scented body wash before taking a razor and running it up my legs to take away any stubble that I might have.
Once I got out I went back over to the bed and pulled on a fresh underwear set then grabbed my pair of blue jean shorts and buttoned them closed around my waist. I then put on my red and white striped crop top over my torso, which reminded me a bit of Waldo but who cares.
I tied on a pair of red Vans and then went to the bathroom to fix my makeup, going for a soft matte red eyeshadow and winged eyeliner, two coats of mascara and some red MAC lipstick. I walked over to my jewelry box and began placing red accessories on, including my favorite red tattoo choker that I haven't been able to wear yet.
I grabbed my phone and purse along with some red sunglasses then walked out of the room and to the kitchen where Jaime was pouring me a cup of iced coffee with Lilah propped securely in his arms.
"What do you guys have planned for the day?" I ask bringing the cup to my lips to take a sip of it.
"I don't know yet, probably go see my mom and dad then come back home and relax a bit, are you sure you don't need me to go help?"
"No, it'll be fine, the girls are going to help as well as my employees." I say with a smile.
"Okay, well call me if you need me, I'll be there in a heartbeat."
"Thank you babe." I say giving him a gentle kiss on the lips before walking out the door and to my bakery.
When I got there all my friends were outside, and that's including Vic, Tony and Mike, "Hey guys!"
"Hey Rae, we decided to come help out." Vic says with a smile.
"Well thank you guys!" I say truly happy they came; I mean this is going to be a lot of work if I need it ready by next week.
"Where's Spencer?" I ask, seeing everyone but my best friend.
"Um she wasn't feeling so good this morning so she stayed home, she said she wishes she could help but doesn't want to throw up all over the place." Tony answers.
"Yeah we don't need that." I laugh as I unlock the door letting everyone in.
After a few hours of placing everything in the right spot, back and forth trips to the store to stock up all my fridges and to the home decorating stores, my shop looked exactly the way I wanted it.
As soon as you walk in you have the counter on your right, with a clear case of what I will already have prepped to sell, while behind the counter is a big open space where a few metal counter tops stood, along with three stoves, two refrigerators, and a sink.
In the very back was another set of tables, two refrigerators, one stove and another sink.
I would only be using the back if I have orders to be picked up, while the front display kitchen, as Mike liked to call it, would be there for people to see us bake.
Now on your left you have at least twelve tables where people could eat, Lisa and I would use that space to put displays of cakes and picture books but this time I wanted it to be a dining area for people who wanted to bring friends or family members to come eat and drink coffee.
Along the walls are where I had all my pictures, they were of anything and everything you could think of. Pictures of me on the rode with Pierce The Veil, or when I was in Ohio, some of Lilah and I and others without me, those ones were my favorites, but my absolute favorite being the one of all eight of us including Lilah, Joyce and all of our animals.
It was at a barbeque that Mike had with all of our other friends and some of their family. We stood in front of their fence that had rocks and a small pond, we weren't just posing seriously, we were goofing off and you could definitely get the family vibe from it.
Everything was tied together with a jukebox sitting towards the back, with old band posters on the wall behind it, Vic told me I had to have a jukebox in here or my shop would be boring, so without telling me, he and the guys pitched in to buy me one. This one though, has a Bluetooth connection so I can play anything from my tablet unless one wanted to actually use the music inside.
I looked around with nothing but happiness filling my chest at the thought of finally finishing this place, I was just ready for next week so I could finally open and get my career started.
When I got home I heard a faint sound of a guitar playing in Jaime's music room, I tiptoed over to the door and leaned my body against the doorframe, his back turned to me as he sat in front of his computer mixing things around on his recording system.
He strummed a few notes while humming out a tune then wrote it down on a paper, I tapped my knuckles on the door twice startling him before walking in.
"It's just me." I smile.
"Hey, you're home." He smiles putting all the papers into his journal before placing his guitar back on its stand.
"Oh no, don't stop." I whine.
"Nope, you can't hear it just yet." He says coming over to give me a kiss.
"Why not?"
"Because it's not ready to be heard just yet, give me one more month and you'll hear it."
"That's too long." I pout.
"It'll go by like this." He says snapping his fingers.
"Fine, I'll be impatient." I say walking out of the room and to Lilah's where she sat in her crib playing with a few toys.
"Can we have spaghetti for dinner?" He asks while I reach over Lilah's crib to take her out and hold her in my arms.
"That actually sounds really good." I mumble leading the way to our kitchen.
"Let's do it." I smile.
I was so exhausted by the time we got into bed, and I felt it all in my bones from all the lifting and moving around today, I knew I was going to be sore in the morning.
Jaime got into the bed next to me, his hair still wet from his shower, all the curls forming which melted my heart because I think he looks so cute with his curly hair.
I turn off my bedside light and roll over to him, then wrapped my arm tightly around his torso as he leans down to give me a kiss on the lips, "Goodnight baby."
"No, I want more kisses, I love your kisses." I playfully whine.
"Why?" He chuckles before leaning down to give my lips another kiss.
I smile through the kiss then separate to answer his question, "Because when you kiss me I know that everything is alright."
