Maya's POV.
I packed my suitcases for Texas and headed out the door to meet the boys at Riley's. Im actually excited to go to Texas with the gang, what could go wrong?
Riley's POV.
Finally, I'm finished with packing all my bags for Texas. I can't wait to go and see Lucas ride the bull! He's been a disgrace to his family for way too long. I was lost in my thoughts when I heard the doorbell ring. Im so excited! What could possibly go wrong?
Farkle's POV
I headed out the door to meet everyone at Riley's so Mr.Matthews can take us to the airport. I can't wait for Texas! How could anything go wrong?
Zay's POV
Going back to Texas is not a good idea. I don't get why Lucas and I agreed to do this! There is no doubt that Levi told everyone we were coming back. I just still can't believe the girls signed Lucas up to ride that stupid bull! Zay just calm down! We've gotten out of tougher situations we can get through this one. It's not like they are going to risk anything in front of all those people. Plus, I'm sure Lucas has the situation under control and I shouldn't even be worried. Lucas always finds a way to get us out of these crazy situations. I shook it off and headed out the door to go to Riley's to meet everyone. I mean what's gonna happen right?
Lucas POV
I slowly packed my bags, dreading this whole entire trip. Hopefully Zay isn't freaking out about this, but knowing my best friend he is freaking out right now. But Zay being himself he will try to play it off cool even though we both know what is to come when we get there. I don't know how we are going to get out of this one. But riding this bull can finally prove to Pappy Joe that I'm not a disgrace to our family anymore. Not only am I nervous for riding the bull, but also to see Pappy Joe. The last time we saw Pappy Joe was the day Zay and I had to leave. I don't think I ever thanked Pappy Joe for what he did for me and Zay that day. All these thoughts were rushing through my mind as I headed out the door to go to Riley's to meet everyone to go to the airport. I hope nothing goes wrong.
Maya's POV
I finally arrived at Riley's and hit the button on the intercom.
"It's Maya!" I yelled and then Riley buzzed me in.
I got upstairs to Riley's and soon after the guys showed up and we all left with Mr. Matthews to go to the airport.
TIME SKIP TO THE AIRPORT
Maya's POV
"We are here. Now get out! And Riley?Maya? NO BOYS!" Mr Matthews said as we all got our bags out of the trunk.
"Whatever you say Matthews" I said with a smirk just to annoy him as we walked inside.
Everyone got their tickets with our flight number and seat numbers on them.
"Hey guys what are your seat numbers? Mine is 10." Riley asked everyone.
"11" Farkle announced.
"12" Zay said.
Great, this means I'm next to Lucas. Can you hear my sarcasm? Because it was very much intended.
"14" I tried to say with confidence even though I'm a little worried about sitting next to Lucas.
"And I'm 13" Lucas said.
"I guess I'm stuck next to you Ranger Rick."
"I guess so Short Stack" He said back with a smirk. I just rolled my eyes and followed the rest of the group to the waiting area.
We all waited around for our plane to arrive for another 30 minutes then filed onto the plane.
I sat down next to Lucas and I unfortunately got the aisle seat.
"Just great I can't even lean on the wall to sleep!" I said obviously annoyed and grumpy because I haven't slept. Nobody said anything so I just fidgeted around in my seat till I felt my head slowly fall down and land on something, then I shut my eyes and was in a deep sleep.
Lucas's POV
I heard Maya complain about not having the window seat so she could sleep, but I know she is just grumpy and everyone else knew that to so nobody said anything.
I started to doze off when I felt something hit my shoulder and noticed it was Maya? What do I do? I mean don't get me wrong I'm fine with it, but what will Riley think? I know her and she will think it's something much more than Maya just leaning her head on me.
"Dude what do I do?" I whisper yelled to Zay while looking at Maya
"Don't think anything of it. She just fell asleep on your shoulder, would you calm down!" He said back. "Plus it's not like Riley is your girlfriend, she has no claim on you."
"How do you know I was thinking about Riley?"
"Really? Lucas how long have we known each other."
"1-" I was saying before I got cut off.
"Yeah don't answer that."
"That's probably a good idea." I said back to him and just relaxed finally falling asleep
I woke up to Zay shaking me awake and realized that the plane was about to land. I looked to my shoulder and saw Maya was still sound asleep.
"Maya wake up" I said shaking her.
Nothing
"Maya wake up." I said a little louder this time. She jolted awake.
"I NEVER WAKE YOU UP!" She yelled at me.
"We are about to land, you have to put your seat belt back on." I said to her and she listened. Then we all just waited for our plane to land. In Texas. Yay.
TIME SKIP TO PAPPY-JOE'S HOUSE
Lucas's POV
"Hey Pappy-Joe!"
"Well if it isn't my grandson Lucas, how are ya boy?"
"Great, glad to be here!"
Not really
"I would like you to meet Riley, Farkle, and Maya."
"Howdy do" Pappy Joe said tipping his hat to the girls, Zay and Farkle.
"How" *Riley*
"Dy" *Maya*
"Do" *Zay and Farkle* said back to him.
"Zay came along for the ride too. Hey, where's Cletus?" I said to Pappy-Joe.
"Well speak of the devil." Pappy-Joe said pointing to the door.
"Pappy-Joe! Tombstone gone and broke out his pen!" Cletus yelled running through the door.
"Did they get him back in his pen Cletus?" I said kind of worried.
"Yeah he's all full of sleepy juice!"
"That's good, anyway I gotta go get ready for the rodeo."
TIME SKIP TO RIGHT BEFORE THE RODEO
Maya's POV
This is going to be hilarious, Lucas is going to be an actual cowboy. I can't wait to make fun of him for this!
"Hey I just saw the bull and why do you hate me?" Lucas said coming up to Riley and I.
"Relax Lucas it's just a bull" Riley said to Lucas.
"Ha, you're scared of a man cow. Why are you so scared anyway?" I said to Lucas leaving only a smirk on my face.
"Have either of you ever seen a bull before?" Lucas said getting mad.
"No but neither do I care, it's just like a big horse." I said walking into the refreshment tent followed by Riley and Lucas.
Inside the tent there were a bunch of tv's showing the rodeo.
Now some clips from last years competition of Tombstone the bull, who this year is being ridden by... Lucas Friar! I heard over the intercom and turned my head to one of the tv's to see just what this man cow looked like.
Oh my gosh.
No way am I letting him ride that thing!
"You can't ride that thing Lucas! I don't think the bull knows this is for fun!"
"Yeah, your telling me" Lucas said with a slight chuckle.
"I'm serious you need to take off that stupid gear and then we are all going to go back to Pappy Joe's!"
"Maya it's fine, Lucas can do this right?" Riley said being her usual confident and supportive self.
"Yeah Maya it's fine, I really want to impress Pappy-Joe and show everyone I'm not a disgrace."
"You shouldn't have to prove you aren't a disgrace, everyone should just except you no matter what." I mumbled looking down at my boots.
"Hey Lucas your next, better get out there man." Farkle said walking into the tent.
Lucas started to walk out of the tent and I couldn't hold myself back anymore.
"Lucas wait!" I paused and continued "If you do this I will never speak to you again." I said sternly looking into his emerald eyes.
"Maya he has to do this" Riley said from behind me.
I turned to her then back to Lucas meeting his gaze again.
"I will never speak to you again." I said walking out of the tent as I heard Lucas and Riley yelling my name but I didn't turn back. After a little walk by myself I finally reached the house and layed on the couch to relax and calm my nerves.
Lucas's POV
"I will never speak to you again." Maya said walking out of the tent.
What was that about?
"Maya!" Riley and I yelled for her but it was no use.
Riley started to head where Maya was going but I stopped her.
"Hey Riley I would like you to stay and watch."
"Then I will." she said then we walked off to the small arena.
Here goes nothing.
