"Mommy it's Christmas". India yelled in my ear jumping on our bed.
I groaned and put my head under the covers.
I heard Aubrey and India whispering and the covers getting lifted off my body.
Aubrey picked me up throwing me over his shoulder.
"Brey put me down". I said laughing.
He ignored my requests and walked downstairs pretending like he was gonna fall.
We got to the bottom of the steps and he sat me down.
I huffed. "What was all that for".
"Cause it's Christmas stank". He said
I laughed at the name. "Merry Christmas baby".
He smiled and kissed me. "Merry Christmas baby girl".
I kissed him one last time and picked up Kinsey.
"It's my babies first Christmas". I said kissing her curly light hair.
She giggled. "Ma".
I smiled and Aubrey took her out my hands.
She squealed as he swung her around lightly.
"Can we open preswnts now". India said
"After breakfast baby cakes". I said
She sighed. "Otay can we have cookies".
I chuckled. "How about pancakes".
She nodded and we walked into the kitchen.
I got the ingredients and started cooking up.
India helped me make the food and we finished.
"Brey foods done". I yelled putting the plates down.
He came running in with Kinsey and sat down.
"This is good Chef Graham". He said stuffing his face.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Thank you Aubrey".
India kept rushing us to eat faster and we all got up walking to the living room.
We sat on the couch and India grabbed a handful of presents and sat on the floor in front of us.
"Can I open now daddy". India said.
"Go ahead princess". He said.
She laughed and ripped open the presents.
Wow and I luh it was what India mumbled after each present.
Kinsey watched her amused.
"Baby here". Aubrey said tossing something at me.
I caught it and looked at the small box.
"Oh babe you got me something". I sighed happily.
He sarcastically laughed. "Why you acting like ya boy don't spoil your ass".
I chuckled pecking his soft lips.
"Thank you papi". I said
I opened it up and saw a Michael Korus watch with a picture off all of us inside.
"Aww I love it babe". I coped kissing him repeatedly.
"Good cause I didn't know what to get you since your so picky ". He said
I rolled my eyes. "Am not"

"Am not".
"Are too".
"Am-".
"Mommy what's this". India said holding a present.
"Oh that's for your dad". I said
She nodded and held up to him.
He grabbed it and kissed her forehead.
"To Baby From Your Baby". He read
"What you get me girl". He said opening the present.
"Damn ma".
"You like". I said running my fingers through Kinsey's hair
"Yeah thanks baby I luhh youu". He dragged kissing my lips.
I chuckled kissing him back.
"I love you". I mumbled against him
"You gon' give me some later". He smirked
"Aubrey it's Jesus birthday really". I said.
His head fell back as his laugh filled the room.
"You funny ass hell baby". He said
I giggled and stood up from the couch.
"India you like your presents".
"Yes I luh them and I luh you". She said grinning at us.
I smiled down at my 3 year old daughter.
"I love you too suga". I said kissing her temple
Aubrey carried all her toys and clothes upstairs to her room and came downstairs.
"You just wanna watch some movies now". I said to India
She nodded. "Can we watch Frozen mommy".
"India babe can we watch something else". Aubrey said coming back in the room.
"Fine daddy we watch something else". She huffed.
He picked her up attacking her face in kisses.
"Where you get all that attitude from little girl". He said
"I don't know daddy". She giggled hiding her face in his chest
He chuckled and started walking upstairs.
"We gonna watch in our room". I said picking up Kinsey
He nodded going up the stairs.
I followed up the stairs and we went into our room
We all got comfy on the bed and Aubrey turned to some movie. India was interested in it though
"You aight". He mumbled looking at me.
I scooter closer to him and laid my head on him. He kissed my forehead and transfers Kinsey in the middle of our laps.
We lounged around watching movies until we went to dinner at Jon's house.
I was kinda skeptical on the idea at first since I haven't seen my family except Jon for a long time but he convinced me into going.
I bathed India and put her in a red blouse with black tights and her black flats.
I did the same to Kinsey changing her in a red shirt and black leggings.
I went to our room and hoped in the shower.
As I was cleaning my body the door slid opens revealing Aubrey smirking face
"Can I help you". I said
"I'm saving water". He said getting in grabbing his soap.
"You better not try anything". I said side eyeing him
He wrapped his hands around me. "And what if I do". He whispered against my ear.
I shivered closing my eyes as he massaged my breast.
"Don't play with me brey". I said pushing him lightly
He groaned and I kissed his lips. We finished washing up and I got out before Aubrey
I dried off and wrapped the towels around me and walked to my closet.
I took out a blue turtleneck sweater and my black high wasted jeans.I dried my curls and left my face natural.
I looked in the mirror and looked up and down at my body. I shrugged not completely liking what I saw in the mirror but whatever.
I walked away from the mirror and texted Jon.
My nerves were starting to build up as I thought about what my mom was gonna say to me.
She didn't know anything about me having Kinsey or getting married. She just thought Aubrey and I were still boyfriend and girlfriend and had one daughter.
She probably thought I got rid of India.
All she's gonna do is judge and criticize my marriage and the way I raise my kids calling me a bad mom. Yet she kicks me out and calls her self a good mom.
"I need a drink". I mumbled to myself.
I got up and went downstairs walking to the cabinet.
I pulled out the red wine and poured it in the glass.
I closed my eyes as I felt the sour taste on my tongue. I drowned the whole thing back and slammed the glass on the table.
"You trying to get drunk already".
I opened my eyes and looked at him
"Shut up you know why I would want to".
. "You might as well drink the whole bottle knowing how your mama is". He said
I sighed. "She wasn't speaking to me while I was pregnant with Kinsey so she doesn't know".
"It's about to gown down in this bitch". Aubrey said
I laughed. "You better not start nothing with your big mouth".
He looked behind him them pointed to himself. "Who you talking to".
I rolled my eyes. "Can you get your kids please".
He nodded and walked out the room.
I washed the glass and put it back in the cabinet.
I walked out the kitchen and slipped on my black boots.
Aubrey came down the stairs with the girls and we walked out to the car.
We pulled off and I turned on
the aux listening to Keep The Family Close.
Aubrey rolled his eyes playfully at my song choice and he rubbed my thigh trying to calm me down.
"Calm down love you gon' work this out with ya ma and it's gonna be fine". He said
"It's gonna take a lot more than one dinner to repair everything". I said.
"All of my lets just be friends are friends I don't have anymore". Aubrey and I sang looking at each other.
We laughed and he sang dancing in his seat making me laugh uncontrollably.
He can always make the best out of the worst situation can't you see why I love this man?
India mumbled the words giggling at us.
The song changed to Controlla and I almost lost my cool.
At least That's what I thought...
"Like controlla controlla". I sang dancing in my seat
"Mommy you funny". India giggled.
I laughed and looked out the window seeing we were at Jon's house.
I was instantly feeling the same nervousness and my mood changed as I stared at the house in front of us. All the memories came flooding back the night my mom threw me out.
"Crystal". Aubrey snapped his fingers in my face.
I sighed deeply and rolled my eyes. I don't even know why I was irritated all of a sudden.
"You gonna loose that attitude before we go in there". Aubrey said
"Don't have one". I mumbled
He got out of the car and I followed his actions but I slammed the door to make him mad.
"Don't be tearing up my shit cause you mad, I ain't scared to slap some sense back into you".
I poked out my lips and Aubrey sighed looking at me.
He wrapped his arms around my waist giving me a kiss.
"You bipolar you know that".
"I'm sorry baby it's just I have no idea what's about to happen I don't want to talk to her".
"Stop stressing your pretty face it's gonna be fine". He said kissing my neck
I laughed pushing him off me. "We're you really gonna slap me though".
"No I was just gonna dick you down".
I blankly stared at him and walked up the steps.
I heard him laugh as I walked in the house.
I followed the voices of people talking and ended up in the living room.
"Hey Crystal". Jon's wife Alexia came up to me.
"Hey Alex is my mom here". I said
She sighed. "She is and she brought her sister Janice and they both too much".
"Seriously". I groaned rubbing my temples.
My auntie and I were not on good terms either. She calls me a "attention whore" because I got married young which shouldn't matter to her. She always gotta stick her nose in other's business giving advice when she don't got a man.
"Yeah I'm sorry girl". She said
I smiled. "It's cool, how you been my big head brother treating you right".
She grinned and her eyes lit up at the though of him. "He is don't worry I would've beat him up already".
I laughed and we both walked into the kitchen.
The conversation stopped as all eyes were on me.
"Crystal". My "mom" said
"Cassandra". I said
"Crystal were- oh shit". Drake said with India and Kinsey in his arms.

We were all sitting around the dinner table having the most awkwardest dinner ever.
"So Crystal I see your still with him are y'all married". My mom said
"Yeah 3 years ago". I said squeezing Aubrey's hand under the table
She nodded faking a smile. "You have another daughter I see".
I smiled looking at Kinsey babbling to herself.
"You would've know if you weren't such a judgmental person but...". I mumbled drinking my wine.
"Excuse me what was that miss attitude". My mom said.
"Look let's cut the crap you two have tension and it needs go away I can't stand it". Jon said
I huffed. "Well tell that to Cassandra she's the one who threw me out".
"Im still your mother and you will respect me girl and I did it because you were young and stupid and got pregnant by that damn thug". She said looking at Aubrey with a disgust look.
I felt him get tense up and I was starting to get irritated by her.
"This thug is my husband and you need to shut up Cassandra because I'm a grown ass woman now and I can take care of myself and my kids when your ready to stop dwelling in the past let me know". I said
"Look what you turned my daughter to be you hood rat you should just leave her alone your no good for her and those babies she doesn't love you". Cassandra said still running her mouth like she knows something.
"You got me all the way fucked up if you think I would be better of without him he's been there for me something you haven't done you have no right to talk to him like that and I do love him and I love my daughters so when your ready to approach me with a more relevant topic you know where to find me". I said walking out.
Aubrey grabbed a confused India and we all walked out the house.
We got in the car and Aubrey sped off not looking back.
"Talk about a disaster". I mumbled
He didn't respond he just kept his eyes on the road.
I know he was thinking about what my mom said to him which made me upset.
I moved my curls out my face and texted Jon apologizing about tonight.
We pulled up to the driveway and he took the girls out and went inside.
I followed slowly behind and he sat them down kissing their cheek.
"I love you". Aubrey mumbled to India.
"I wove you too daddy". She kissed him
He tickled her sides and changed her into pj's.
"Can you sweep with me daddy". India said rubbing her eyes
"Anything for my princess". He said getting on her bed.
I smiled and walked out the room into ours. I took off my makeup and tied my hair in a bun. I put on a white tee and got into bed.
I turned off the light hugging the covers and heard Aubrey come in the room.
He sighed loudly getting into bed with me. He wrapped his arms around me grabbing my butt.
"You love me". Aubrey said
"Aubrey I love you".
He kissed my lips laying his head on my chest.
"I love you too baby". He mumbled
I smiled and feel into a deep sleep listening to Aubrey soft snores.
