Infinite Dorm - 8:49pm
"The food was delicious hyung thanks" Sungyeol said entering the livingroom where sunggyu was sitting.
"Glad you enjoyed it hermit but i didn't make alone woohyun helped," Sunggyu replied,
"Ah dae about that mianhae, i guess it was kinda noticeable of me? i was feeling a bit feverish and thought i should stay away from the members for precautions" Sungyeol replied, "Hm," Sunggyu nodded but didn't buy it,
"Did you talk with myungsoo today?" Gyu asked him, "Ani didn't wanna disturb him during filming, we'll text later,"
Sunggyu nodded again, "Oh Hyung ever since i left my room i feel like i'm being interrogated" Sungyeol laughed sheepishly,
"Well after not seeing much of you lately, i had questions.. don't mind me" Sunggyu spoke,
"Oh.. okay," Sungyeol was on to his hyung being on to him,
But after the food Sungyeol wanted to really make an effort this time an be himself,
Time passed as they watched t.v. he was proud he stayed out of his room, but doing alright but found it still felt forced..
Sitting with sungjong bursting into laughter at something on the screen, oblivious of sunggyu's continuous questioning but mostly concerned glances towards him.
Inside it was annoying sunggyu he couldn't figure out what was wrong with sungyeol even his laughter now seemed a bit forced, Why was approaching a sensitive topic so burdensome? and when was it ever a good time to do so..?
Sunggyu's thoughts were cut when hearing dongwoo call sungyeol from the other room for his attention for something,
"Oh dae coming hyung" Sungyeol replied raising up from the living room floor, Sunggyu watched and sungjong eyed him.
"Hyung for a moment i really thought he was fine.. Sungjong spoke,
"Shh sungjong-ah," Sunggyu whispered then leaned to see if yeol was far enough to continue the conversation.
"You know too?" Sunggyu asked the younger thinking it was only he hoya and myungsoo who were aware.
Sungjong nodded "I hate to say it.. whatever it is i feel like its pretty bad, He's never been this.." Sungjong started, "Lethargic?" Sunggyu finished "It's sungyeol for crying out loud, If he doesn't realize by now that we can tell when somethings bothering him?" Sunggyu ranted then sighed, "You're right hyung, he's just not himself," Sungjong added,
"Yeah and with yeol it's always been the most obvious.. out of all of you," Sunggyu finished.
"But hyung he's also good at hiding this sorta thing.. because we still don't know what it is" Sungjong mentioned,
"Yah kid, Don't worry about it," Sunggyu assured sungjong,
"But look how long it's been and i.. i see how much it's worrying you too hyung" Sungjong replied
"I've been trying to remember back when he started acting this way, what triggered it." Sunggyu replied
"Our whole atmosphere is just off when sungyeol isn't himself" Sunggyu stated.
"So have you figured it out yet hyung?" The younger asked, Right when gyu was about to answer, woohyun walked in accidentally interrupting,
"Hey hoya called said he's almost here..," Woohyun announced then glanced at the both of them,
"Uh What are you two so deep in conversation about?" Woohyun asked, "Sungyeol," Sunggyu told him,
"Ah you've noticed too, yeah he's weirder than usual" Woohyun joked then rubbed the back of his neck after receiving blank stares in return, "I don't know what's been going on with him either," Woohyun admitted.
"None of us do it's the point" Sungjong then continued "It's official now even woohyun-hyung knows yeol-hyung is off," He sighed, "Even me?" Woohyun asked offended by the maknae, "Are we going to get anywhere with this today or not?" Sunggyu asked, "Maybe he misses myungsoo," Woohyun shrugged,
"It's not that he's been like this since before myungsoo hyung's filming started," Sungjong replying to woohyun's guess.
"It could be.. it had been upcoming," Woohyun says, "I honestly feel like i have missed something,"
"I don't think so and the fact you've been in and out filming but can still tell, shows he doesn't hide it as well as he thinks" Sunggyu added, "At least hyung got him to stay out of that room alone, it's a start right?" Sungjong said,
"No offense but that leaves us wide open to yeollie's irritable side" Woohyun mentioned with a laugh,
"You shouldn't joke hyung.." Sungjong contested, "Can't i mess around for the sake of lighting up the mood a little"
"Why so quiet gyu?" Woohyun questioned, "I'm sure he's thinking of a way to help" Sungjong added,
"I'll talk with him," Sunggyu stated partially frustrated, "You seem in good spirits" Woohyun replied sarcastically but playful,
"So do you" Sunggyu gritted back, "That's because i am," Woohyun grinned,
"Hyung," Sungjong began "Sungjong-ah! i'll deal with it can we just drop it.. please?" Sunggyu asked, Sungjong looked at him blankly, But sunggyu only sighed turning up the television's volume.
Sungyeol heard the last words said from sunggyu as he headed back to the living room
It sounded serious and he contemplated going inside but haulted when hearing woohyun,
"Oo..kay.. looks like someone else is getting irritable.." He teased towards sunggyu,
"Look guys sungyeol-yah will get back to his normal talkative self soon," Woohyun assured
Upon hearing he was the topic sungyeol decided not to enter just yet,
"Yeah hopefully soon we could use hyung's cheerfulness again," Sungjong spoke,
"But sometimes that can be excessive so only in small amounts.." Woohyun joked,
"Namu.." Sunggyu says sharply, "What!! i'm only saying when yeol-ah gets started he doesn't know when to quit..
"I mean it can be over the top at times" Woohyun replied,
"You're talking.., Sunggyu muttered before continuing, "Look woohyun your not around as much you don't know what's going on with him most so you can't speak on it let along joke about it okay.." Sunggyu told him, "We get it your in a good mood but not everything is a joke.."
Sungjong was a bit stunned silently looking up at woohyun, Woohyun felt bewildered by sunggyu's serious tone.
"I didn't do anything but try an be helpful.. you might feel that sunggyu.. but i don't and i'm not going to feel the same way just because everyone else does, So i come home an want the mood a little lighter sue me.." Woohyun ranted
Sungjong now felt extremely awkward watching his hyungs. "And yeah! i tend to overdo some things" Woohyun started letting on he heard sunggyu's previous mutter,
"But babbling constantly like yeol does at times isn't one of them, that's the only point i was making an i wasn't even being seriou.." Woohyun immediately went quiet once seeing sungyeol had revealed himself in the doorway,
And when seeing the hurt but glaring expression on his face it made woohyun feel awful and regretful of his words.
"..Um i'm.. i didn't..," Woohyun began in stuttered words, Sungyeol scoffed "Are you done?" He asked
Woohyun couldn't find the words to reply to the particular question, Sunggyu couldn't believe the unfortunate timing.
"Well hyung sorry if showing my happiness annoys you so much..," Sungyeol spoke his tone low and filled with emotion. "Sungyeol-ah.. I.. didn't mea.." Woohyun started But sungyeol only turned to leave not caring what more he had to say because he heard enough..,
"Su.. Sungyeol-ah!" Woohyun called, "Great" Sunggyu muttered closing his eyes in ,
"Ah.. Well thank you so much for cluing me in on everyone currently tiptoeing around sungyeol.." Woohyun spat bitterly turning to rush after him, Sunggyu sighed not taking woohyun's words to heart. He also didn't mean to become irritated with woohyun just now but everyone's emotions were running in high especially sungyeol's.
Near the front entrance
Sungyeol felt as if the next smallest thing was going to set him off, Just one more incident that made him feel inadequate.. he couldn't take it, And he last thing he wanted was woohyun in his face.. He got to the front door's entrance,
"Yah sungyeol! It's not like that sungyeol-yah," Woohyun spoke slightly panting as he caught up to sungyeol,
Sungyeol didn't say anything his back facing woohyun, feeling like he'd burst with anger if he got any nearer.
"How much did you hear?" Woohyun tentatively asked, Sungyeol scoffed "Ah, how much did i hear? He mocked turning around, "That's what you're worried about?!" Furrowing his brows voice cracking with pain, Then attempted to leave again, "Stop!" Woohyun demanded now opting to choose his words carefully.
Sungyeol inhaled and exhaled deeply so upset that his hands shook,
"Sungyeol-yah," Woohyun said grabbing at his wrist finally taking hold of his arm,
"I'd like if you didn't touch me right now.." Sungyeol stated dangerously,
Hearing the anger in his tone woohyun still didn't let go of him, "Listen i wasn't being serious.." Woohyun pleaded trying to make this whole thing better somehow,
"Just let me go.." Sungyeol said sternly, "Damnit don't take what i said the wrong way yeol-yah, will you just listen!" Woohyun unintentionally shouted, "I said let go!" Sungyeol yelled back yanking his arm harshly away.
"Yah! what's the matter with you, i'm trying to tell you it was a joke" Woohyun frowned daringly grasping sungyeol's arm once again which made him more angry and woohyun more annoyed, "I'm not the bad guy!"
"Not everything is a joke" Sungyeol shouted as he began to struggle out of his grasp,
"This is how i am!" Woohyun his voice getting caught in his throat,
"I just needed one last damn thing!" Sungyeol stated bitterly not able to stop himself from shaking,
In the livingroom sungjong sat too dazed to move while sunggyu left to appease the loud argument.
In which he was sure sooner or later something or someone would set sungyeol off.
"Please don't take it personal.." Woohyun practically begged while cursing himself, Feeling whatever he said it wasn't getting any better, "Woohyun, let go" Sunggyu urged, Woohyun shook his head no.
"You don't know what i'm feeling an you don't get it.. Now let go of me.." Sungyeol requested angrily,
"I don't! you're right! but you have to let me in!" Woohyun pleaded gripped him tighter, "Woohyun-yah.." Sunggyu asked again.
"Speaking cheerfully is just me.. and it comes out that way because i'm genuinely happy but you see it as 'babbling"
His tone cold, "Can you give me a chance to apologize..?" Woohyun asked almost defeated wondering how this happened, As sungyeol once again roughly jerked his arm out of woohyun's grasp, "Yah!!" Sunggyu yelled,
Hoya entered the front door, unexpectedly having a knee jerk reaction to stand in between woohyun & sungyeol.
Stopping what looked like a confrontation about to get worst, "You guys weren't..?" Hoya asked them both.
Woohyun stood shell shocked, If hoya hadn't walked in was sungyeol would they have fought?
"What is going on!!??" Hoya and dongwoo who just entered the area asking simultaneously.
Sungyeol only gave woohyun an icy glare, "You're unbelievable.. and i don't want your pity apology.. thanks for nothing" Sungyeol spoke his tone somber but his words filled with venom as he left away slamming his room door.
"Mianhae.." Woohyun spoke on the brink of tears barely audible, Meant for sungyeol to hear..
"Sunggyu?" Hoya could only say completed puzzled, Dongwoo continued to blink,
Sunggyu felt like he was hit with a ton of bricks, "It shouldn't have gotten like this.."
He lead woohyun into the living room to apology to him, and inform dongwoo an hoya what exactly the hell just happened..
Sungyeol's room
Not only did he have to wonder over if he was forgettable or not as talented or popular in his own group, But now he was drowning in feelings of hurt and self pity, Now a fight? everything felt even worst..
His eyes became heated with tears as his anger subsided now unable to stop sobbing. "What do i do?" He cried
Hours Later 11:53pm
Myungsoo finally got home a few hours later to see the members with solemn faces, "What's going on..?" He asked trying not to panic, Right then hoya pulled him aside, He sighed before beginning, "Sungyeol-ah and woohyun.. they.. almost fought.."
Myungsoo stayed silent looking at the older in disbelief, "Mueos!?" He then went straight toward his room, But sunggyu warned him off, "He's not going to listen to anyone not even you..,"
"I know i can say somethi.." Myungsoo began, "Not tonight.. we'll try to help them tomorrow it's late.."
Myungsoo sighed, "I promise first thing tomorrow we'll found out what's wrong with yeol once and for all,"
"Even if we have to force it out of him but gently..," Sunggyu assured myungsoo then started to feel regret from opting to give sungyeol his space at the start, Instead of confronting him as soon as possible.
"It's not your fault..," Myungsoo reassured as if reading gyu's mind.
"It might've built up inside him and because i waited too long today might not have happened.." Sunggyu mentioned,
"Hyung, i feel the same an i wish i said something earlier on too, i don't even know what, but i just can't believe what happened, it's not like them.." Myungsoo said, "Yah Come on" Sunggyu urged
"Hyung our schedules tomorrow.." Myungsoo relayed, "Okay that will be a slight roadblock.." but it'll happen," Sunggyu promised once more "I'm sure you had a long day, go sleep myungie alright" Sunggyu told him. "Okay hyung"
Myungsoo ate then showered giving himself some time before entering his own room.
"Yeol-yah are you going to ask what happened on set today?" Thinking maybe he'd try for normal conversation,
"I can't talk now i'm really tired," Sungyeol spoke in a tone myungsoo had never heard before, Serious and cold, Myungsoo tried not to get offended by it and thought about what sunggyu told him, "Tomorrow"
He held back opting to change his clothing to sleep doing so he felt like the only one in the room,
"Goodnight.." Myungsoo murmured unsure he'd receive a response but said it anyway before turning off the dim light.
While laying in his bed myungsoo felt stressed and thought how badly he wanted his best friend back...
Sungyeol POV
"As soon as the words left my lips i realized how cold i sounded.. i could tell myung wasn't happy with me,
Even with that he still tells me goodnight.. an i don't even respond.., He probably understands, If i had answered i would have probably broken down, But I can't help but feel i'm doing and saying all the wrong things.." Sungyeol thought to himself
Tears stung his eyes as he shut them tightly feeling so sorry towards his members.
Beating myself up wasn't helping but i acted wrong in my actions, they don't know the specific problem, so it's probably confusing for everyone, i have to make it right, make up with woohyun.. I have to once and for all end this.. and talk to them to my brothers..."
