Jay's P.O.V

I was in shock my mother was hugging me! I awkwardly patted her on her back and looked over to my dad; he stood there with a watery smile on his face. I was started to feel uneasy and let my arms drop to my side.

I looked over to Penny with pleading eyes, a little help here please?!

Penny's eyes widened and cleared her throat gaining the attention on everyone. My mother released me. I breathed a sigh of relief and positioned myself to my right of Penny as always.

"Now that everyone has got themselves acquainted with everyone. How about we move into the meeting room where we can discuss what is going to happen?" I heard the sliver of alpha command slipping into her words. Without hesitation my pack leads the way to the meeting room with Penny and I in front.

Thank you for saving me Penny, I said to her through our private mind link and gave her a genuine smile.

No problem Jay, remember what I told you? You're my daughter. She replied slinging her arm around my shoulders, giving me a sideways hug. I'm so happy that I've had Penny in these last few years. I don't know what I would've done without her. She's shown me how to be tough but yet also how to love and trust.

We entered the meeting room where Penny sat at the head of the table with me standing to her right. The triplets entered the room and made their way over to us, standing to Penny's left. We waited patiently for everyone to enter and take their places. Alphas, betas, third in commands and the pack warriors sat around the table whilst the rest of the packs lingered around the room.

"Right let's get to business then shall we?" Penny clapped her hands together then eyed everyone around the room, daring them to challenge her. "Firstly, you are here because you need help." She said addressing the other pack. "And because you are under my roof and we are willing to help, you all will go by my rules. Rule number one, there will be absolutely be no bullying towards each other. If I so much as hear that a hair has been touched on someone's body, myself and Jay here," She gestured to me, "will personally find a punishment worthy of you. Rule number two, everyone will do there bit with the chores around the house and the grounds of the pack house. And finally rule number three, you are all to attend training and any other pack functions on time." Penny finished her little speech.

"Are there any questions?"

The pack murmured with 'no's' and 'of course' but said nothing else. Out of the corner of my eye I looked over to my parents to find them huddled together, next to them I saw Cameron's parents staring directly in Penny and I's direction and then finally next to them was Cameron himself, and he was looking directly at me. Years ago I would have melted to the floor just by looking into his eyes, but now I don't do anything. I have grown stronger and so has my wolf, the rejection no more affects us as much as it did.

"Second order of business is training." Penny gave me a pointed look. I guess it was my time to talk.

"Training will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons from five until nine and Saturdays from ten in the morning until I say so. You will have Friday and Sundays off to give you a break and to rest up. There will be no questioning this arrangement. I expect everyone to show up on time and to be ready to push your body to the limit. The rest I shall explain at our first training session." I finished keeping my voice and facial expression emotionless. The room was silent whilst I let them absorb the information. After a while a hand was in the air, that hand belonged to a fake tanned, dyed blonde hair, blue eyed, big boobs, skinny girl, who to be around my age. If I stared at her. I didn't recognize her from when I was in their pack, perhaps she was new?

"Yes?" I asked, trying not to sound too pissed off. I don't know what it was but there was something about her that I just didn't like.

"Are you training us?" She spoke. Her voice was so high pitched and scratchy.

"Yes."

She burst out into laughter, which made members of their pack join in. Once they were finished I asked, "Is there something wrong with that?" I tried so hard not to sneer and go over there and punch her.

The girl eyed me with amusement in her eyes. "What could you possibly teach us? From what I heard you are nothing but a weak, little fatty." She sneered. I stood still showing no emotion.

Jay dear, are you okay? Do you want me to handle this? Penny asked me worried.

No but thank you, I think I can handle this. A smile appeared on my face as I stalked my way over to her, like I was stalking my prey. I was no face to face with this fake bimbo.

"You don't know anything about me. You don't know what I'm capable of. You don't know anything. So I suggest you shut your mouth and mind your own business." I said in a deadly voice not once moving my gaze from hers. I saw fear flicker in her eyes. With a satisfying smile I turned my back on her and got back into my position.

"Any more questions?" This time I wasn't open for debate, my eyes said it all 'don't me with me'. I nodded my head and gestured to Penny to continue.

"Right, well I think that is about everything so all that's left to do is show you guys to your rooms. So if my pack wouldn't mind they will show each of you the way. Meeting dismissed." Penny smiled. Once again everyone filed out without hesitating and soon it was just Penny and me in the room.

"Are you alright?" She asked pulling me into a hug. I buried my head into her neck enjoying her hug.

I pulled away, "yeah, I'm okay Penny. I'm stronger now, I can handle them and you know it." I smiled. I honestly felt fine, okay so maybe it hurt a little bit that even though I was gone; they told a complete stranger about the failure in their pack, but I was fine. It was nothing I couldn't handle.

"Right!" Penny exclaimed, "no more sadness, let's go make cakes!" And with that she ran out of the room. I remained, laughing at how childish she can be sometimes. I ran after her and found that she already had everything we need out and ready.

"There you are!" She smiled.

"Let's get cracking," I said cracking an egg.

Penny laughed, "Jay that was an awful pun."

Penny and I spent hours in the kitchen and once we were finished the children of the pack walked in, and let's just say their faces said it all. They lit up like a Christmas tree.

I was now lying in bed staring at the ceiling. Tomorrow was the first day of training and I would be facing everyone from my old pack. I was just hoping everything went well and they all just got on with it.

~*~

I shoot out of bed when cold water splashed all other over me and I heard laughing. I looked up to see James, Josh and Jake crumpled on the floor. I glared at them and growled they'd managed to piss both me and my wolf off.

I got out of bed and headed straight for the shower. They would be expecting me to get them back right away but not this time, they're going to get it when they least expect it. Besides, I have to get to training and train some mutts.

Great, my wolf grumbles, just as my mood couldn't get any worse.

I laugh, I hear you sister!

I take a quick hot shower making sure to wash my hair as well. Then jump out, wrapping a fluffy black towel around myself. When I get back into my room I notice that the triplets are gone and have also changed my sheets for me. Aww, they think that changing my sheets will make me go soft on them. Think again! I change into a black tank top, black shorts and black trainers. I know all black but it's my workout clothes. I brush through my hair before typing it up into a ponytail.

I skip down the stairs starting to get excited about training. I reach the kitchen to find that Penny is up and drinking her morning coffee.

"Morning Penny dearest," I smile sweetly, grabbing an apple and taking a big bite.

"Someone's in a good mood this morning." Penny arches a brow.

"I am. It's the first day of training. I might be able to beat someone up." I smile.

Penny just rolls her eyes and continues drinking her coffee and also reading the newspaper that I hadn't noticed before. I glance at the clock and see that it's almost time for training. I quickly finish off my apple and throw it in the bin.

"See you later Penny!"

I march out of the kitchen and into the back garden to see that only a handful of people are waiting. I scowl at the sight before me.

"Where is everyone else?" I ask.

"We don't know miss." A big guy replies. I like him already, he has manners.

"Please call me Jay, none of this miss business."

"As you wish mi- I mean Jay." I smile at him. "What's your name?"

"My name is Leon."

"Well Leon you just became my training partner." I smile. "Follow me."

We both make it to the front of the people that bothered to show up. I wasn't going to chase after them, if they wanted to die then so be it.

"Right everyone I am starting your training without them." I address them all, I hear no complaints. "Let's start with 2 laps of the packs ground, in human form." I shout and lead the way.

When we get back to the pack house I'm surprised to say that they all did very well at keeping pace with me. There was a few stragglers but they weren't that far behind. These guys would be easy to train. I wish I could say the same for the rest of them, but they haven't even bothered to show up! I'm also surprised to see that the rest of them have decided to show after half an hour has already past.

"Ah, so the rest of you finally decided to grace us with your presence then?" I ask, when I come to a standstill with everyone behind me. "Took you long enough, we've already started."

"Training is too early," a squeaky voice moaned. I instantly knew who it was, it was that bitch from the meeting room, I groaned.

"Rouges are not going to stop and wait for you to wake up they will attack when you least expect it. You've got to be ready people! There is a war coming and we all need to be prepared!" I shouted. "We are not the only people going through this. Every single pack is training to be stronger, smarter and to learn to work together to beat the evil that is coming. So you lot better take this seriously or your all going to die and your blood won't be on my hands."

No one spoke after my little speech they just stared at me but there was on gaze that burned into the side of my face. I knew who it was before I even turned my head to look at him, my 'mate' Cameron.

"Everyone that was hear on time go take a break while the others got and run around the pack grounds." There were a few cheers and grumbles. I stayed rooted in place as people moved around me. Someone poked me in the arm and I came face to face with the bitch. I still don't know her name.

"Stay away from Cameron you slut, he's mine." She growled. Oh great, typical girl talk. Couldn't she have been a bit more original?

I laughed, "your calling me a slut? You should look at yourself sweetheart. And don't worry you can have him, I don't want him."

"Good. Back off!" She growled a final time before running after the others.

Isn't my life just great? I have the world's safety on my shoulders both supernatural and non-supernatural, I have to deal with my 'mate', I know have a bitch to deal with and I still have to get the triplets back for this morning!

A cough cleared from behind my taking me out of my thoughts. Cameron was behind me.

"What do you want Cameron?" I questioned.

"I wanted to talk to you Jessica."

I growled, "don't call me that! That isn't even my name it's Jay."

"Fine. Jay I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what happened in the past and for rejecting you. I know what I did was childish and it wasn't right for the pack and I to treat you that way. I was hoping you could forgive me and we can be mates." He asked with hope in his voice.

"Y-you must be joking!" I said in between laughs. "I will never forgive you for what you did to me! You ruined my life. Why would I forgive such a monster? We will never be mates again. I hope you root in hell!" I shouted at him and stormed off over to the pack that got back from their run and continued on with the training. As promised Leon helped me demonstrate different stances and fighting combinations. I made them do sit ups, push ups, squats and spar with each other. All the while I could feel a pair of sorrowful eyes burning into the side of my head.
