Twisting and turning
In the midst of the night
Demons and creatures
But my darling did not fear such a sight
Her heart was cold as a pack of ice
After all she had sacrificed
Taking chances as she rolled a dice
Betrayed as she was taken for a fool twice
Drowning in a river of fallen tears
Surrounded by a landscape
Where no one was sincere
My darling finds it hard to preserve
Because she had been let down countless times
In the last two years
She wonders all alone on her own
Through these empty streets she roams
Leaving behind a lonely home
Haunted by her insecurities
But no one knows
Now dwelling on a vacant throne
This goddess believes something is owed
It is not wealth, luxury nor protection from those who wear masks
But rather loyalty and unconditional
Love that lasts
