"Okay! That's a wrap! We're done for the day!" - the head photographer announced as we finished our shooting.
Nag-greet sila ng 'Good job' at isa-isa silang nag-bow sa mga tao. Ako naman, sumabay nalang. Ganun daw custom nila eh.
Pagkatapos ng shoot, agad akong pumunta sa dressing room para magbihis.
"Miss Mira, next is the Summer Swimwear shooting for JayCz at 2 pm. You're done with the morning sched for today. " - Clair informed me while I was changing.
"Good, I'll be back after lunch. It will only take a bit so I should be here by 12:30." - I said as I picked up my bag and sunglasses.
11 a.m. pa naman so I have plenty of time.
Pumunta ako sa vanity mirror ko at nag-retouch ng saglit at nagsuot ng wig. Kailangan ko na kasi ng disguise whenever I go out.
I took a slight glance sa secretary ko habang nagsusuot ng wig.
She seemed troubled.
I mean, sanay ako sa silent nature niya kaso parang may pinoproblema siya ngayon eh. Usually, she'd put her pen behind her ear, but now, she was biting its tip while looking at her clipboard.
"Clair?" - I called out her name.
She looked at me. "Y-Yes Miss?"
"Is there a problem?" - I asked her. Alam ko naman na hindi siya yung tipong 'Oh nothing's wrong Miss' pero meron naman talaga na type. She's quiet straight to the point.
Tiningnan niya ang clipboard niya and she looked at me with troubled eyes.
"What? Is it about my scheduled shoots?" - I tried to guess.
"No Miss." - she shook her head and sighed. "It's about SimSimi Inc."
The moment I heard that name, I stiffened.
But I regained composure soon enough. Enough for her not to notice.
"What about it? I already denied their offer." - I said while patting some powder on me. Pretending not to care at all.
"They sent another request. Saying you should reconsider." - she said and I almost smudged my make-up.
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT MAN UP TO NOW!?
Hindi ako nakasalita.
Oh he must be kidding! Bakit pa ba kailangan ulitin?! PAKSHET!
"Umm Miss?" - Clair called out.
Nakatunganga ako sa mirror nang narealize ko na ang tagal ko na pala hindi nagsalita.
I looked at her nervously, "Ah! I thought I saw a pimple there!" - nilapit ko ang cheek ko sa salamin then pretended to look worried.
"What should I do Miss?" - she asked, still referring to that company's offer.
Looking at her seriously, I said, "What else should you do?" - I raised an eyebrow.
Hindi siya rumespond at tumingin lang sa paa niya. Yeah, that's right! feel intimidated!
Sighing, I took my summer hat and put on my sunglasses. "Denied." - mataray kong sabi bago ako lumabas.
I walked towards the elevator and made my way to my baby.
And by baby, I mean my Porsche.
I only use this when I go out on disguise kasi usually sa company van ako lagi.
Iniwasan kong isipin ang offer kanina habang nagdrive at nilibang ko ang sarili ko with music.
Yeah, ganyan nga Myrah, just don't mind insignificant sh*t like that. Magkakawrinkles ka lang.
Grooving to the beat, di ko na namalayan na malapit na pala ako sa lunch resto.
Nag-park ako at dahan-dahan akong pumasok, trying not to be too recognizable.
Being Korea's top model doesn't come in easy y'know. Lalo na't kailangan ko pang taguan tong ganda ko. Heh.
I scanned the area and then I caught a certain someone waving at me.
He smiled and so did I. Naturally, naka-wig din siya pero alam na alam ko yang ngiti niya. So spotting my boyfriend is not much of a chore.
Pumunta ako sa kanya and he held the chair for me, like a true gentleman.
"I thought you ditched me." - he whispered before returning to his seat.
I took off my hat and smiled, "When have I ditched you?"
He smirked, "Do I need to enumerate babe?"
"Heh... wag nalang." - gave him a guilty smile after remembering all the times I ditched him before.
He chuckled at my response and pinched my cheek.
"Nag-order ka na ba?" - I asked.
"Yep. Hungry?"
"Very."
And just like that, I enjoyed a nice lunch with my boyfriend. Hindi ko na kailangan problemahin ang kung ano-ano diyan. Che!

"Tol ang daming chicks pala dito no? Ang puputi ng balat!" - sabi ni Ichi habang umiinom ng wine sa couch.
"Yan lang ba talaga pinunta mo dito?" - I asked him as I put down the last of my paperwork.
I poured myself a cup of wine and gulped it all down.
"Of course! Why else would I come here?" - he said.
"You got laid last night didn't you? Parang ang high mo ngayon ah.... Oh right, kailan ka pa ba hindi high? " - I shook my head disapprovingly.
"Tol, sa edad natin ngayon, we gotta make the best of it. And yes, I smacked a lot last night." - he laughed.
Hindi na ako nagsalita pa.
My playboy of a cousin doesn't fail to disgust me.
Hindi na ako magtataka kung magkaka-AIDS yan.
"Party?" - he said, someone called him. "I'm on my way." - at lumabas siya. Just like that.
See? Di nga na hangover sa party niya kagabi.
I sat on my swivel chair and poured another cup of wine.
Staring into space, I couldn't help but think of that night.
I saw her.
I really saw her.
Who would've thought na nandito lang pala siya no? I couldn't mistake her face for any other. Siya yun.
Kahit na 8 years na ang nakalipas, she seemed like the girl I fell in love with in high school. But, you know, more ....... mature.
To be honest though, I wanted to talk to her. Kaso nga lang may kasama siyang iba.
Hinalikan pa nga niya.
"Sir." - I was interrupted by a voice.
I sat up straight and cleared my throat. "What is it?"
Focus Kieth. Focus.
Pumasok ang secretary ko and he bowed to greet me.
"Its about the model sir." - he began.
Apparently, this 'Mira' girl denied my offer and I had to send out another for her to reconsider.
I had to do it. We desperately need her influence here para maging success tong branch namin dito. And no one else fits the job perfectly than her. We need her.
"Did she reconsider?" - I asked.
"No sir."
"What?"
"She flat-out denied your request again." - he said.
I was out of words.
Right. She's an in-demand celebrity. Of course she wouldn't accept just any offer.
But doesn't she know how popular my company is?!
Hindi man lang siya nag-background check?
"And what would be her reason? Did she say it this time?" - I asked.
"No sir. She still didn't state her reason."
This just doesn't seem right.
If it were any other model, they would surely either accept the offer or state a perfectly good reason why he/she can't do it.
Is that too much to ask?
Pwes.
I'm not giving up.
She is a must for my company and I am willing to do whatever it takes makuha ko lang ang 'Yes' niya.
How hard can it be?
Her pay isn't that bad either, so why deny twice?
"What do you plan to do now sir?" - he asked.
"Cancel all my appointments tomorrow. I'm going to have a chat with Miss Mira."
