how do you guys feel abt jimin being forced to stay in the land of matchmakers fairies pixies and nymphs ?
[ coughs ] three chapters left

Jimin had always found Seokjin's office to be a place of wonderment. Covered in pink and fairy dust, one never knew what could pop out at them at any moment. Jimin had always thought Seokjin did this to keep his job fun and exciting, when in reality it was-

"Namjoon, babe, please stop touching things." Jimin walked into Seokjin's office for his first day of work to see Seokjin sitting at his desk, head in his hands while Namjoon stood off to the side, covered in fairy dust with strands of glitter falling out of his finger tips in rapid succession.

"Jin I am so sorry I didn't mean to break–"

"Joon-ah, come here." Seokjin said, using one hand to summon Namjoon towards him. Seokjin scooted his chair out and Namjoon plopped right down in his lap, throwing his legs over the opposite armrest. Seokjin turned his head in his hand and smiled brightly. "Do you really think I care? You could break everything in this office and I'd be perfectly fine with it. Don't, though. Please don't break everything in my office."

"You know I never do it on purpose." Namjoon pouted slightly and Seokjin took his head out of his hand to rest his forehead against Namjoon's. There was glitter pooling in the dip where Namjoon's legs met Seokjin's and Seokjin picked some of it up and wiped on Namjoon's nose.

"You're so cute," Seokjin muttered, pressing a quick kiss to Namjoon's lips. Namjoon blushed and started stuttering under his breath and glitter shook out of his hair. Seokjin patted Namjoon's thighs, "now, hop up, I need to fix this before Jimin gets here."

Jimin fell back into the hallway to avoid being seen and waited for Seokjin's chipper, "all done!" before walking back into his office. Namjoon was hunched over on the floor trying to sweep up the glitter with his hands and Seokjin was watching him, a broom in his hand.

"Hey, hyung." Jimin said, moving to stand next to Seokjin. Namjoon jumped, sending the few morsels of glitter he'd collected flying into the air. He let out a disgruntled sigh and went back to sweeping the glitter with his fingers for a minute until he realized the broom in Seokjin's hands. He took it with a glare.

"So, Jimin, your first day of work, how do you feel?" Seokjin asked, wiping miscellaneous  glitter on his pants. He looked over at Jimin with a grin on his face that only faltered a little bit before straightening itself out again.

"Like death." Jimin answered numbly. Seokjin could see why, his eyes were bloodshot and there were bags under his eyes, and his cheeks looked sunken in. All in all he just looked tired and walked all over. "But I'm fine, really. Stop looking at me like that."

"Okay, okay, sorry. Anyway do you think you could help me carry these books back to the library?" Jimin nodded and scooped the books up into his arms and Seokjin nodded before plopping one right on the top. "And that goes back to the council room."

"Like, where the councilmen are?" Jimin asked unsurely. He wasn't quite sure he wanted to go see them so soon. Didn't want them to see just how badly he was hurting. He didn't want to give them the satisfaction.

"Well that's generally where they reside, yes." Seokjin said. Jimin deflated but nodded anyway. This was his life now, following orders blindly and making sure he does them to the best of his ability. "Or, you could just take a look and see where they are, see if the coast is clear."

"What do you mean?" Jimin asked, looking at the Great Book weighing down his arms and making his unused bicep muscles scream. Seokjin walked forward and opened the book to a random page. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a little pouch of fairy dust and sprinkled it on the pages. Jimin watched as Seokjin closed his eyes and the pages started flipping wildly to and fro, until they landed on a page towards the back of the book, and on them were the faces of each council member and their whereabouts.

"Looks like no one is in the council room!" Seokjin said, but Jimin was still staring down at the pages dubiously. "How did I do that, you're wondering? A little bit of fairy dust and imagination. Now, on your way."

"So, you can see anyone with this?" Jimin asked. Seokjin nodded and smiled brightly at him, and Jimin practically ran out the door. "I'll be right back!"

Jimin turned right down the hallway, towards the library, before hanging a left down a different hallway. He all but sprinted to his room, books very nearly falling out of his arms and scattering across the floor. Jimin dropped the library books outside his door and swept some of the fairy dust off the great book and onto the floor so his door would open. He almost fell inside, tripping over the many books that Seokjin had given him.

Once inside Jimin (not so) patiently waited for the door to close before falling to the ground and opening the Great Book. He pulled his tube of fairy dust out of his pocket and sprinkled some on the pages, closed his eyes tightly and practically screamed inside his mind, Min Yoongi.

The pages of the book turned as if the wind had picked up, until they landed softly and showed Jimin exactly what he'd asked for. Min Yoongi, curled up on the couch watching Glee with a cupcake in his lap. Strawberry, Jimin's favorite. Yoongi was staring down at it, the perfectly iced treat sitting on a plate and almost tipping over every time Yoongi breathed. His mouth was moving but Jimin couldn't hear him, but he could see him. Could see the crown of his fading gray hair and he could see his plaid pajama pants (always the go-to if the polar bear ones were dirty) and he could see Jimin's hoodie swaddling him.

"Hi," Jimin whispered to no one in particular. It may have been a little creepy, but he needed to see him. It'd been nearly a week and a half since the last time they'd talked, and Jimin was originally only holding on with the hope that he'd see him soon, but now he was stuck and Yoongi would never see him again.

Jimin's talking seemed to have broken some sort of barrier, for sound stared flowing out of the book at such a volume Jimin thought he'd get caught. He had to deal with it though, for books don't have volume control.

"Hoseok, can you bring me a knife?" Yoongi asked, and Hoseok appeared with a butter knife in hand. He looked down a Yoongi sadly before retreating back to wherever he'd come from. Yoongi slowly scraped the icing off of the cupcake and set the plate off to the side. Jimin knitted his eyebrows together in confusion. Who only eats the bottom of the cupcake? Gross.

"Hyung, I think maybe you should shower today." Came Hoseok's voice from somewhere in the apartment. Yoongi ignored him, biting into the bottom of the cupcake. "I know you're waiting for a call, but if you don't shower soon he's going to be able to smell you through the phone."

"Very funny, Hoseok. Leave me alone." Yoongi said, shoving the rest of the cupcake in his mouth. Jimin giggled to himself and Yoongi shot to attention, looking around the apartment with his eyes wide. "Hoseok did you hear that?"

"What? No." Hoseok said. Then he plopped down next to Yoongi on the couch and dipped his finger into the icing Yoongi didn't eat and licked it off. "I think you're hearing things, hyung."

"No, I could've sworn I heard Jimin laugh. I know that sound, Hoseok. Don't test me." Yoongi said, still staring up at the ceiling. Jimin held his breath, smart enough not to make a sound but not willing to cut the call and close the book.

"I think you need some sleep, hyung. You've been watching Glee for like four days straight. Go to bed." Hoseok said, resting his hand on Yoongi's shoulder. Yoongi ignored him still, looking around the apartment with his eyes narrowed. Then he sighed and slumped back into the couch, very nearly sitting in the icing.

"Maybe. I wish I knew why he hasn't called me." Yoongi said. Hoseok frowned and climbed off the couch so Yoongi could lay down. Hoseok leant against the arm rest and absentmindedly tucked Yoongi's feet into the blanket.

"Didn't you say he doesn't have a phone? Pay phones are a thing of the past, hyung. Maybe he just can't call you. It's not like he doesn't want to." Hoseok said. Yoongi sighed and turned over so his face was pressed against the couch. He mumbled something that Jimin couldn't make out and Hoseok waited for a second, watching Yoongi's back until his breathing evened out and he was asleep. Then he patted the back of his legs with a sad smile and walked away. Jimin closed the book and scooped it up in his arms.

He contemplated shoving it under his bed, keeping it just for tonight and then returning it in the morning. Jimin stepped back towards his bed, then thought better and walked out of his bedroom and dropped the Great Book on the pile of other ones before heading to the library.
