I was picking at the candy floss, popping it into my mouth as Michael snatched it from me, sticking his tongue out.
"Ugh, share!" I whaled, hitting him in the arm.
"Here." He sets barely a chunk on my hand as I rolled my eyes.
"How long until we go head over to the arena?" Calum asks.
"Um.. About an hour and a half still."
"Let's go on the ferris wheel, PLEASE" Luke points, me looking up at the tall circular figure.
"Only couples ride that thing, and yet we're all single pringles." Michael sighed fakely as I chuckled.
Ashton stayed silent at the mention of 'couples', him looking away.
"What do you think babe?" Calum smiled, setting a hand on his shoulder.
Ashton just sighed. "I agree with Michael."
I smiled faintly at him.
"What about you Justin?"
"Ferris Wheels are.. Cool?" I shrugged, not really thinking straight on what to say.
"Then you and Luke Hemmings are going.'' Calum smiled, me looking at him weirdly.
"Well how about you, Calum Hood?" Luke follows, me mentally face palming at how they were just calling each other by their full names.
"Oh, I'm sure I can go with Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin."
"You guys sound so stupid, I'm sorry." I laughed, shaking my head.
"Well come on man." Luke motioned, me sighing as I ran behind him.

Once we were on, I naturally propped my elbow on the side railing looking out at the view.
"Damn it looks so beautiful from up here." Luke clapped, putting his hands in his lap like a little school boy.
I smiled. "Yeah, definitely."
Now if this was some cliché boy and girl moment.. The boy would clearly say, "but you're the most beautiful thing here"
But nope this was a boy and boy moment, which made it ten times more boring.
"I swear, I almost kissed Julie that night. Almost.' He sighed, looking at me.
Well I wouldn't have let him kiss me in the first place, Harry was there. And plus.. I didn't want him kissing me straight on the spot, you know?
"Oh man, really? Way to go." I nodded, clearing my throat as I shook my knee, in a fidget which is what boys usually did and I had no idea why.
"Yep. Hey.. Look, I feel really bad trying something with your ex. If you ever feel a bit hesitant, just tell me and I'll back off." He nods.
"You would do that?" I tilted my head to the side.
"Of course, mate. I'd never do that to a friend."
"Harry seems to be protective over her.. How do you feel about that?"
Luke seemed to look a bit in thought before he sighed. "I understand, I mean..If that was my sister, I'd do the same thing."
"Are you starting to.. "Like" Julie?" I asked.
"I've felt something like that ever since the first time I laid eyes on her.''
I pressed my lips into a thin line.
Really?.. I've never really seen him before.. Even if I try to think so hard, I just couldn't remember.
"And when was that?"

I pondered at what he was trying to ask me.
Did I really start to feel this way about that girl?
The first time I ever saw her? That was when we first met the One Direction lads of course.
*FLASHBACK*
We were in such a pretty glass window office, nearly everything white and it looked like it came from the future.
Us four boys all sat down, the assistant lady smiling at us.
"The One Direction boys will be here in about five minutes, so just sit tight." She nods.
"Thanks." We all said in unison.
Once the door closed behind her, we all cheered and started talking lots.
"This is insane oh my god, just look at where we are." Michael gushed.
I smiled widely at the moment. I just couldn't stop smiling.
It took me time to scan my eyes through the whole office, my eyes then falling on a girl that was sat on a chair just a few meters away.
She had headphones on, bobbing her head up and down to the music and tapping her hands on her lap while tapping her feet as well.
My lips parted without a notice, me quickly closing my mouth.
I could see her mouthing lyrics, and doing a pretend air guitar.
I chuckled.
The boys seemed to notice what I had my eyes trained on, as they looked the same direction.
"Who is she?" I finally spoke.
"No idea." Calum breathed out, Michael smiling.
Ashton smiled as well. "Looks like a lovely girl."
"I need to talk to her." I confirmed, them laughing at me.
I groaned.
"Dude, she's so out of your limit. Like in our song." Calum pointed.
"Well.. I'm an awkward chap. So.."
"She's way too pretty." Ashton shook his head as I sighed.
Pretty soon, the One Direction boys were heading in, Harry, motioning at the same girl.
It looked like they were arguing for a bit before she slouched, reluctantly following after the five boys who soon came in.
Okay, now I was curious.
She didn't even bother looking up, still on her phone as she plopped down onto a sofa.
We got through the introductions with them, all of us having a small chat, really.
"So if you don't know our names.. I'm Niall, this is Louis, Liam, Zayn, and Harry." Niall nods once, smiling.
"Oh you didn't have to introduce yourselves, we know you guys.. You guys are so big." Ashton chuckled.
"Julie! Come meet our soon to be opening acts!" Louis scolded her.
She couldn't really hear because she still had headphones on, as they sighed.
And so her name is Julie.
"Sorry about her. She's really anti-social.." Harry chuckled. "That's my little half sister, Julissa. She doesn't like being called Julissa, so we call her Julie."
"Or JuJu." Niall smirked.
"Apparently she doesnt like that either." Louis shrugged.
"JULIE" They all shouted at her.
"Huh? What? Jesus, sorry." She gushed, tugging her headphones off.
So she was American? Was she adopted?
"These are the boys we'll be touring with three months from now." Liam nods.
"Oh, hi. I'm uhh.. I'm Julie." She nods, waving naturally as she pulled a small smile.
"We know." Ashton butted in, her rolling her eyes playfully.
She locked stare with me for about a half second before looking away.
Probably the best half second ever?..
* END OF FLASHBACK *
"LUKE"
"Huh?' I snapped out of my thoughts. It felt like I was daydreaming.
"You were like.. Staring at nothing." Justin chuckled, as he looked at me weirdly.
"Oh sorry. I was thinking. But yeah the first time I saw her was when we first met One Direction." I nodded.
"Ah..Oh." He seemed to look in thought as well. "Really?"
"Yeah." I nodded.
He stayed silent, before looking back at me, then looking away again.

* ONE HOUR LATER *
I was jamming to ATL on my phone as I sat in the dressing room, boredly.
Humming to Jasey Rae that came randomly on shuffle, Louis comes out of nowhere, shooting silly string at me.
"Shit!" I screamed, closing my eyes as I gasped.
Pulling the green stuff off my face, I angrily looked at him. "You're dead."
"I love you." He grinned, laughing, before running away.
I was about to chase after him, but then again, I was lazy.
Tonight's show was big, I mean the arena was fairly big, must I say.
Putting my music away, I decided to go search for the boys.
Walking down the hall, I looked through each and every room.
Adjusting my wig, I turned to my left, only to find..
Four shirtless boys getting their hair done by Lou.
Woah..
My eyes widened. Tell me I wasn't dreaming, wow..
"Hey, man! We've been looking all over for you!' Michael says.
"What are you talking about, I was like three doors away!" I shrugged, plopping down onto the red sofa.
"Oh.. Then we must be blind, then." Calum chuckled, as I rolled my eyes.
Instead of going back onto my phone, I couldn't help but think about what Luke told me at the ferris wheel.
Het met me the day they met One Direction?..
That day was honestly a complete blur to me.. But I couldn't help but smile madly at the thought that he's had an eye on me ever since that day.
I would've loved getting to know those boys back then. But then again, I didn't.
This was probably another bliss moment for me. Just, making new friends. Back then, I never made friends.
People hated me, I don't know what it was. That's why I've been wondering why Anne even chose to adopt me.
I was nothing but a useless girl.
I watched Lou do their hair in some sort of a daze, me sighing.
"What's wrong?" Ashton asked me quietly, while the other boys were in their own little conversations.
"Nothing." I mumbled. "Do you remember the first time you met me?"
"Uhh.. Hmm." He pondered before pointing at me.
"Yeah! I actually do. Luke was all googley eyed for you that day. But he never really got himself to talk to you because he thought he wasn't good enough."
"Good enough? What?" I asked, completely misunderstanding.
"Boys, you're up in five minutes! Get your arses out there! Hey, Justin." Paul waved briefly before walking away.
I waved back before he left, as I sigh again.
Now Ashton has just got me thinking.
Was Luke really that insecure about himself that he couldn't even get himself to talk to me?
As they piled out, I each told them a good luck as they high fived me.
Luke looked a little flustered, me smiling reassuringly at him. "You'll do fine." I nod, patting him on the back.
"Thanks man." He breathed out.

I could already hear the show going on, me smiling.
The crowd was going crazy for them. They were really talented.. I'd probably even say, more talented than my own brother!
Locking my phone and slipping it into my pocket, I walked out of the dressing room.
Skipping down the long corridors, I find a lost, curly haired girl.
Wait.. That wasn't just any curly haired girl..
She sighed frustratedly, walking up to me.
"Thank goodness, I found someone! Ugh, do you know where Ashton is?"
