Peeta's POV
I have been waiting in the hospital for about 10 hours without sleeping and barely eating and drinking. Dr. Shepard says that Katniss is not in a coma but she needs a lot of sleep and will probably wake up soon. He also says that he has to tell me something but he has to wait until Katniss' mother has to be here.
A couple minutes later, Mrs. Everdeen came with no idea that her 12 year old daughter has died. I decide to tell her in the best understanding way that I can.
After I told her, she has tears running down her face uncontrollably and so do I. I also told her that Katniss has been sleeping for a long time but isn't in a coma and the doctor has to tell us whatever he wanted to tell us. As I'm comforting Mrs. Everdeen, Dr. Shepard comes out with Dr. Grey who is his girlfriend and resident.
We both stand up and Dr. Grey says
"I'm just going to make it simple... Katniss needs......
