Sometimes when life is more than it seems,
I like to recall the fondness of childhood dreams.
Where imagination soared with boundless wings,
through space, time, and over vast magical lands,
along with enchanting beings and most fanciful things.
Hours flew like minutes as the clock hands would race,
ushering my drifting fantasies by at too quick a pace.
Though yonder times have long since faded away,
and modern days bring about more pressing demands,
that realm of endless wonders within still stirs my way.
So whenever a needed escape can be planned or found,
then by fascination I shall be happily caught and bound.
