It was finally back to school the next day. I know I had a rough week, but right now, everything just keeps on getting better and better.
Hannah used to study here in Randolph, until she got she got a scholarship in Paris just last year. She decided to move back here because she was having a hard time there. Luke was supposed to be back last January 8, but since Hannah decided to move back in England, he decided to just wait for his sister so that they could go back here together. Then I knew Hannah was one of the most popular girls at Randolph. Well, Luke is also popular, but actually, he only became popular because of 1, being Hannah's older brother, which made people notice him, and 2, being the Prefect.
A lot of people were glad to have Hannah back, and of course, she was glad to be back here. She had a lot of friends so, I don't think we're ever gonna hang out together.
Luke and I were in the courtyard, and I was just watching Hannah talk to her friends from a distance.
"What's wrong?" Luke asked.
"Your sister's gorgeous," I said.
"I know, right?" he said "But you're far more gorgeous!!!"
"Shut up," I said.
"Well, what's wrong?" he asked me.
"I'm not being selfish or anything, but I just really want to get to know her." I said "The way you always talk about her to me, she sounds so precious to you-"
"Of course, she is . She's my sister."
"That's why I want to get to know her." I shrugged "I guess I won't."
"She would want to hang out with you." he said.
"How would you know?" I asked.
"Of course, I know." he said "Just like I said, she's my sister."
Hannah was placed on every class Luke was in so that he'd have her back. She totally aced French, and we were all very impressed. Mr. Evans seemed to admire her as well.
After school, Luke and I decided to study for our upcoming test in World History class in the Library, when Hannah suddenly approached us.
"Hey." she said.
"Hi." I replied.
"What are you doing here?" Luke asked.
"Nothing," she sat with Luke and I "Can't I hang around with my older brother and perhaps, my future sister-in-law?"
I must've blushed.
"Please, stop being weird." Luke said.
"I'm not being weird." Hannah said "I just want to get to know Joe, that's all."
Luke turned to me and smiled at me.
"Told you she would want to hang out with you." he said.
"What?" Hannah turned to me "Of course, I want to hang out with you."
"There you are, Hannah!!!" Hannah's group of friends approached us.
Hannah turned to her friends.
"Oh, hey!!!" she said, and then she turned to me and Luke "You know my brother, and of course, his girlfriend."
"I thought we were going to do some school work together?" one of them said.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm gonna ditch you guys for now, I really want to spend some time with my brother." she said, and then her friends left.
"Wow," Luke was looking on to Hannah's friends as they were walking away "Ditching your friends just like that, and you're not even concerned if they're upset with you or anything?"
"They'll understand." she said "Besides, we've been talking a lot while I was in Paris. I guess I just got tired of them."
I just smiled at her.
"So, Joe," she pulled me out of my seat "Walk with me?"
"We were actually studying for the test tomorrow." Luke said.
"Oh, no worries." she said "We'll be quick!"

Hannah's more of like a female version of Luke. I mean, like her brother, she's quite annoying, vain, arrogant, but underneath it all, she's very sweet.
We decided to just take a walk around the halls because she's avoiding her friends, and apparently, the "annoying" people that always approach her to welcome her back. I mean, she said she wants to spend this time with me.
"These people really missed you." I said "How long has it been?"
"Just a year," she said "They're over-reacting, aren't they?"
"They just weren't expecting you to come back." I said "I never even expected that I would meet you one day."
"Dad's not in Brazil anymore," she said "And our mother's not here as well."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"It's quite difficult to be away from each other," she said "Luke and mum in England, Dad in Brazil, and me in France. So, dad decided to move back to England."
"Wait," I said "What?"
"Dad is now working as a Musical Director in Norbury, and mum, fortunately, is going to be a teacher again."
"That's great." I said.
"We all thought it would be easier for all of us to keep in touch when we're on the same country, and not scattered around the world." she said, which is the exact opposite of my situation with my mom in the Philippines and my dad here "How's my brother by the way?"
I was about to ask which one of her brothers.
"Like, while you were gone?" I asked.
"I mean, for a boyfriend?" she asked.
I shrugged.
"Probably the best one I've ever had?" I said.
"Wait!" she said "You had one before him?"
"I thought I did, but turned out nothing really happened between us." I said "It was just all in my head."
"Then, I have to say Luke was just like you, I guess?" she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well," Hannah spoke "Do you know about Luke and Helena?"
"I know there was something between them." I said, though I didn't know what exactly.
"Well, Luke's been courting Helena for almost a year, and that was only last year, before I left England for France." she said "And when I left, that's when Jace, our cousin, told me that Luke never felt this much of happiness before because he said that he finally got what he really wanted in this world."
I froze.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Don't feel weird though, this was a long time ago." Hannah said.
It was only last year.
"Just tell me then." I said "It's okay."
I know how Hannah feels about all of this. She is completely aware that Helena's my best friend, and Luke's my boyfriend, and Helena and Luke were almost "boyfriend-girlfriend" last year, or at least I think they were, but they didn't really take it seriously. And now, neither of them or anyone wants to talk about it.
"Helena was the world to Luke." she said "Ever since they met, Luke had feelings for Helena. That's why they were so close back then. It's because Luke did everything just to get close to her."
Just like on my first few days here, Luke did everything just to get close to me.
"My brother's the type of person who just doesn't give up easily."
"Yeah, I know that."
We started walking again.
"So, tell me, how did he court you?" she asked.
"Where do I begin?" I said.
Luke didn't exactly court me. The feelings were just there, and I guess he just let it out-
"Hannah?"
Hannah and I looked straight ahead.
Callum, Hannah's half-brother, was standing in front of us.
"Callum," Hannah was having a hard time speaking to him, but it seemed that it wasn't as difficult for her to look at him "Hi, how'd you do?"
"I," Callum's voice was shaking "Since when did you get back?"
"Last week." Hannah said "Luke told me not to talk to you."
Callum nodded. I think he understands why. For what I know, Hannah was already gone by the time everyone dicovered that Callum is a part of their family. This is really hard for her.
"What did you say?" Callum asked.
Hannah was still crying. She didn't answer Callum. Instead, she hugged him. Callum hugged her back. I guess Hannah accepts Callum as her half-brother.
"Come home with us," Hannah said. They were still hugging.
Callum looked at me.
"You know why I can't do that." he said.
"Why not?" Hannah asked.
"Because of your brother." Callum said.
"Hey!" they stopped hugging. Callum was wiping her tears "Dad wants you to come with us. He'll talk Luke out of it-"
"Hannah!" I turned around, and Luke was marching aggressively towards us. Hannah didn't move. She was still looking at Callum, until Luke grabbed her arm and pulled her to him.
"Hey!" Callum tried to stop Luke from aggressively pulling Hannah away from him "Easy there-"
"You don't get to tell me what to do and how to do it!" Luke turned to Hannah "Was he trying to intimidate you?!"
"Luke, you have a tight grip on her!" Callum said, but he couldn't do anything about that.
"Don't ever go near my sister again." Luke said.
Callum scoffed.
"Your sister?!" Callum asked.
"Yes!" Luke replied "MY sister!"
"Luke, stop!" Hannah was pulling him.
Luke's eyes turned to Callum's fingers. I turned to Callum's fingers, and to my surprise, he was wearing the plastic crystal ring I won from the cracker we pulled together at Christmas. It was also my gift for him for his 18th Birthday.
"God, Callum!" Luke was laughing "Are you serious?!"
Callum looked at the ring, and then he looked at me.
"First, you wanna take my girl, and now you wanna take my sister?!" Luke said to him "Well, here's something for you, Samuels! You are never taking my girl, and you're damn sure are not taking my sister, and my family!"

Hannah was upset so, she decided to go back to her dorm room.
Luke and I went to the garden where we normally spend time with each other.
"Hey!" I said "I know I dislike Callum as much as you do, but you shouldn't have done that."
"Done what?" he asked "Besides, I don't dislike Callum. I hate him!"
"I know you do," I said "But what I meant was, you shouldn't have treated him like that!"
"He deserved it!"
"But not in front of Hannah!" I said "Can't you even see this is really hard for her?!"
"That's why I'm keeping her away from Callum!" Luke said "I'm keeping her away from pain!"
"Callum's not a pain in the ass for her." I said.
"Give her time," Luke said "Hannah's affected by this because she just got back."
"So you think this is some kind of warm up to her?" I asked.
"Yeah," Luke said "I know Hannah."
"Just because Hannah's your sister, doesn't mean you know every single thing about her."
"I think I do," Luke said "Besides, why are you taking Callum's side?! Because he's your adopted brother?! Tell your dad to do me and my family a favor and not give him back to us!"
"I am not on anyone's side!" I shouted at him "I just think as Hannah's older brother, you should know what's best for her!"
"You think Hannah getting intact with Callum is best for her?! It's like showing her that it's okay for Callum to feel like he is family!"
"Because he is, isn't he?!" I yelled.
Luke stood up, and walked out on me.
This is probably the very first intense fight we've ever gotten into.
