Chapter 34: Happy Birthday!

Maria's P.O.V
Me and Ivan-san had been blindfolded for some reason. Nīsan and someone else are helping us to walk since we can't see.
"Are we there yet?" I asked my nīsan.
"Almost there, imōto!" he said happily. He opens a door and took off our blindfolds.
"Happy Birthday!" Everyone said in unison. I was almost crying in tears of joy. I hugged nīsan.
"Arigatō, nīsan! Arigatō, minna!" I said. I didn't notice a thing and someone hugs me as well. I let go of the hug and bowed to everyone.
"Alright, you two, blow the cake!" Alfred-kun said to us.
Me and Ivan-san got closer at the two candles and blows it in unison. Everyone claps
"Arigatō gozaimasu, minna-san! Me and Ivan-san are very happy for this surprise! Thank you!"
"Spasibo, da!" Ivan-san said. Roderich-san, Feliciano-kun and Elizabeta-san went up into a stage and everyone looked at their direction.
"Eins, zwei, drei!" I heard Roderich-san  whisper to them. He began to play the piano while Elizabeta-san plays the violin and Feliciano-kun plays the guitar. Elizabeta-san begins to sing.
"I'm truly so happy to have met you,
Yet, as if it follows naturally, it's all so sad..." Roderich-san continues.
"Now, with painfully happy memories, I walk to a inevitable farewell..." The melody of the music was lovely. I loved it. The next one to sing is Feliciano-kun.
"If i'm going to just live taking someone's place, Then it'd be better if I could just be a pebble
That way, there'd be neither misunderstanding nor confusion,
And then even you wouldn't know me..."
"What I want is just for you to hear all of my thoughts, Yet I lie and say I have secrets I can't tell anyone. I'm so much more spineless than you seem to think of me,
So why? Why? Why?"
I glanced everywhere, and I noticed that Kuro-san was gone.
"Nīsan, where is Kuro-san?"
"I don't know. Look for him. I'm going to talk to Yao-san."
"Ok.." My head was spinning. Did Kuro-san forget my birthday? Or...did he not come..?
