My heart was pounding off my chest racing faster and faster...
"H-ha?" I said with the only word I could utter.

"Dissapointed?" he grinned
"Tapos ka na bang mangtrip?"

Naglakad kami papuntang mall, medyo malapit lang kasi siya mula sa pinanggalingan namin.
"Saan tayo pupunta?"

Kung iisipin niyo ah, parang si Cai yung tipo ng tao dati na seryosong seryoso, tapos nung naging engineer saka naging isip bata. Some weird kid.
Pumunta agad siya dun sa token booth at bumili ng 30 tokens. Andami naman yata no'n.

Ako yung nasa right side, si Cai naman sa kabila. Naghulog kami ng tokens. The rule is kailangan mong ishoot yung disk sa goal ng kalaban, first three points win.
Pinalo kagad ni Cai yung disk, di pa ko prepared buti na lang napalo ko pabalik. Pinalo niya ulit and shoot! One Point!
Kailangang bumawi. Pinalo ko ng malakas yung disk. Sayang nasambot niya at pinalo pabalik sakin. Shoot ulit. Two points.
He smiled "Looks like you'll be staying for another hour"
Pinalo ko naman kagad yung disk habang di siya nakaconcentrate and one point!
"Hindi rin" I said.
"We'll see"
45 seconds remaining, napasok ko yung disk sa goal. Yes! Two all na kami.
Isa na lang...
Pinalo niya yung bola papunta sa goal, ibinato ko pabalik. Syempre di naman ako papayag na 'di niya ko malibre ng ganun na lang. Malapit na talaga. I was smiling with anticipation na papasok yung disk sa goal. Nagslowmo. Lumagpas na siya nung line ng...
Time's up. Tumigil na din yung disk sa paggalaw.
"Ano ba yan!"
"Haha. Kawawa ka naman"
"I hate this game! Dun na lang tayo"
"Basketball?"
"Yup. The highest score wins"
Pumunta kami dun sa basketball. Naghulog ng tokens tapos nagsimula. Sa totoo lang hagis lang ako ng hagis. Bahala na si batman kung magsho-shoot. It was Cai's advantage, mas matangkad siya sa akin. Pero keri lang, kayang kaya ko siya.
Natapos din yung time. My score is 90... Si Cai... 85! Haha. I won.
"Take that Cai!"
"I can't believe this"
"Well you should dahil ililibre mo pa ko engineer"
Pumunta kaming figaro. Umorder ako ng frappe, chocolate eclair at saka pasta na libre ni Cai.
"Bakit naman ako ang naisipan mong isama dito engineer?"
"Bakit? Masama ba?"
"I mean you have Ashley to come with you"
"Ashley... She's long gone"

Natahimik naman ako bigla. Kahit na pinakasalan niya si Cai, mabait pa rin si Ashley, hindi ko hihilingin na mawala siya.
Pagkatapos naming kumain umupo lang kami ni Cai. Nagsuot siya ng earplugs, madaya ang taong 'to. Ako naman eh pinagmasdan lang yung mga tao sa paligid.
"Listen to this" sabi niya habang sinusuot sa 'kin yung isang earplug.
