Starbucks was crowded as usual, since it was the closest one next to the school campus, but I managed to find a table for two next to the ground coffee display table. Setting down my bag, I flopped into a seat and pulled out my math notes, then watched Sam as he grabbed our drinks.
"Thanks for coming," Sam said, handing me my drink, "trig is killing me."
After taking a sip, I nodded. "No problem. What part of trig do you want to work on first? There's all the basic functions and the properties of those functions like sine squared plus cosine squared equals-"
At that moment, I looked up from my papers. My chair was opposite of the door, which meant that I could clearly see who had just walked in. With a girl on his arm.
Go figure.
